- Today on Form Fight we'll be looking at four Legendary Pokémon,the Treasures of Ruin: Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu. Which of these dark-type Legendary Pokémon will reign supreme?

Welcome to Form Fight! In this series we take a look at Pokemon with more than one form, Pokemon with branched evolutions or even counterpart pokemon, have a look at the differences between this Pokemon and try and decide which one is the best!
So we can see these Pokemon in action on the battlefield, we also have a Metronome battle between those Pokemon - but just for a little bit of fun!

Chien-Pao remains my fave though. Love ice types, and the thought of this long dweeb bounding around in the snow is nice

Chi-Yu is definitely my favorite out of the four. Even though it's just goldfish, it's a simple concept with an incredible design. Not to mention, prolly my favorite shine to come out of gen 9. Blue flames are not just cool, it really makes sense as a different color scheme to the fire fish

Just realized this quartet pair well with Yveltal with themes around destruction and dark typing

At the moment chien-poa is my favorite of the four, it can learn psychic fangs, so it can also take away the reflect if necessary. Its speed, attack and ability makes it able to take down opponents the quickest. Ting-lu is in second place, it has the best stats and entry hazards.
Chien Pao doesn't have high Special Attack, only Physical

Definitely my favorite legendary group of any pokemon game
Also, fun fact, when they're all properly natured, fully EV trained and hyper trained, Chi-Yu's special attack is a whopping 405, while Chien-Pao's attack is at 372. The goldfish definitely hits much harder than the rest of them XD

I'm loving my Bowlwinkle (Ting-Lu) in violet. He makes a good raid tank. Add an attack cheer or two and a shell Bell and he's indestructible

3:05 Gotta say, Chien-Pao and Chi-Yu's Shinies are fucking INCREDIBLE, shame that the Ruinous Quartet are apparently Shiny-locked
All I can picture now is 2 goldfish angrily attacking a snail 3x their size and it wont leave my brain 😂😭 I'm so glad the Metronome gave them both Outrage
Fans were always asking for a saber tooth tiger Pokemon and thankfully we got one this generation
My favorite is definitely Ting-Lu. Ik most people don’t rlly care for him but I love his artifact and his concept. Making the broken handles of the bowl into a set of horns is genius. I also long how it isn’t symmetrical with the horns either. Also in comp I built mine specially bulky and it’s physical defense was still higher, they’re both in the high 200’s. Bros a beast.

I absolutely love Wo-Chien, just has an awesome vibe/design and I love a good bulky boi (also grass is my favourite type so I may be a bit biased lol)

Ting-Lu is definitely my favorite. I don’t care if it’s the least popular, I actually really like it’s design. Plus, it’s the only one with two immunities and the most resistances. It’s the bulky moose that we’ve needed for so long, and I love it.
I love the Fire fish! I can never remember their names! Design wise I also love the Ice tiger!

this is the first time i remember seeing a ffa have to go to a head to head fight. it's probably not the first one but I don't recall seeing it before.
I think the Treasures of Ruin are the best sub-Legendary Pokémon we've had in a long time because not many of the other ones have actual backstories to them.

To me for how OP of a beast it is with its ability and its BEST shiny in my opinion is Chi-Yu
So I guess even though it's a "free for all", these Pokemon can't target something on the same side of the field? That should be fixed.

Liam is one of the 1st people I heard say wo chien name right. dude work dude. one thing I wish pokemon company did though was put the accent marks in. for those that don't know the word ma can have 4 different meaning as an example, one being house and idr the other 3 as this was over 20 years ago when i took a mandarin class.

I know I'm weird, but I like Ting-Lu the best out of these four. It's face has some good personality and it's design is well balanced (no pun intended) with the bowl being a prominent feature but it's body also standing out. It also seems like the most chill/least aggressive of the four.

Chi-Yu is my favorite, but I also love Chien-Pao which has me so conflicted cause I'm running a Dark/Ice team and I don't want to use two legendaries. Then again, their base stats are only 570, so really they're legendary by name alone. 🤔
