- Today on Form Fight we'll be looking at the four forms of Tauros; Kantonian Tauros, Paldean Tauros Combat Breed, Paldean Tauros Blaze Breed and Paldean Tauros Aqua Breed. Which of these Wild Bull Pokémon will reign supreme?

Welcome to Form Fight! In this series we take a look at Pokemon with more than one form, Pokemon with branched evolutions or even counterpart pokemon, have a look at the differences between this Pokemon and try and decide which one is the best!
So we can see these Pokemon in action on the battlefield, we also have a Metronome battle between those Pokemon - but just for a little bit of fun!

I HONESTLY dig all forms of Taurus, but I think that because the Blaze breed is first time a non-starter has the fire fighting type, does makes a difference in opinion.
The mane of fire Taurus should have been fire color like Pyroar’s and their horns of the three forms should have been white.

Whilst Kanto Tauros will always have a special place in my heart, Aqua Tauros is my go-to. It just seems like the most peaceful, can swim and is just the most bizarre looking one.
Both rounds ending with the mons taking themselves out had me dying
I actually found a Shiny Paldean Combat Breed Tauros by accident. I was in a Trainer battle and right after it ran straight into me, starting a fight. I was so confused when I saw it sparkle since I didn't knew it's Shiny colors till then. I would have totally missed it if it wouldn't have ran straight into me xD
That low-poly Kantonian Tauros brings me some great memories of Pokémon Stadium, I non-ironically love these low-poly models lol
I really liked the paldean variants, wish the shinies stood out more though.. really unnoticeable in their herds
Blaze breed is my fave, but I prefer aquas fur and blue
Their shiny forms should have been red-brows or white-gray like real bulls.
It's been years, but Kanto Tauros was once the best non-legendary pokemon in the game from a competitive battling pov.
I guess you could say they are bull-ying the Kantonian Tauros.
I'm gonna have to go with combat breed just because it's the only one I've used on a team so far. I named him Cuddlesworth and his anger point and new signature move actually came in handy a few times during the regular play through. He quickly became one of my favorites on the team. 🥰
I've always loves Kanto Tauros. Not sure why but I just have. Maybe it's simple but still cool design.
Though really love Blaze variant. Especially how it's horns light up red. Kinda wish that was just the default Paldea version

YES, FINALLY, I've been waiting for this one
I kinda wish that instead of just randomly being amongst herds of Combat Breed, Blaze and Aqua filled Combat's roles in different terrains.
Aqua Breed would be on water because it's stated to swim really well and can even swim when you use it, so it can basically do what Sharpedo did in Lisle of Armor, but Blaze Breed would require a bit of a rework.
Blaze Breed would be on the land, but when you're above it it'd take to the sky, blasting off into the air with its flame nostrils as rocket boosters.
Nowhere would be safe.
Never used a Tauros ever since gen 1 even though it was one of the first full odds shinies I ever caught. Used an Aqua breed in my Violet playthrough and he became one of the main guys in my team very quickly! So yeah would recommend!

Good god, the last three minutes of the actual battle segment was one of the most absurd series of move choices in a Form Fight I've seen in a while 😂

Could the blaze breed be partially inspired by the brazen bull? Especially when the dex entry talks about how there is smoke coming from its nostrals. I know Pokemon probably won't make a direct reference to it, but this might be the closest thing.

Blaze Breed. I had to have one on my first play. Took me over an hour to find but wasn’t disappointed. Was a MVP of my team.

Cool thing you could add, a sleeping condition on your HP bar when you take GFUEL, so it disappear when you drink it since it has caffeine.
The bulls were really bullying each other, especially the Kantonian. My goodness he was targeted so much.

Moves that always critical hit don't activate anger point, so this ability is just to do with dumb luck 😑

I hunted for a shiny blaze Tauros and I got 3 regular paldean Tauros before I found one.
Blaze Breed couldn't handle the identity crisis after being changed into a Water-type.
My guess is that it's Johtonian Tauros, because it can only be found in Safari Zone in Kanto.
Isn't Johtonian Tauros technically Miltank?

It'd be cool to see a form fight between the paradox versions and the regular pokemon! I'd personally love to see roaring moon vs Salamance!

I never really liked Tauros but I've been really liking the Paldean forms. I caught a combat breed early on then spent ages grinding to catch blaze breed with a fighting terra type and anger point. I really like the design of blaze breed but I've got to say that my combat breed has put in so much work that I've swapped back to having that on my team instead now.

I'm also particular to water types but instead chose the blaze tauros over the aqua. However.......Kanto is still on top. Sheer force life orb or intimidate flame orb facade. So zen headbutt should be plenty of coverage against the fighting cousins here. But hey why choose 1 if you can run all 4.
In the end, Tauros managed to beat Tauros
Combat Breed just feels lacking to me. If it got access to some very strong moves that the other two Paldean forms didn’t, I could see a good incentive to use it over the other two. Maybe if it got a ability that the other two didn’t, like Defiant or something? Idk, but right now, there isn’t a great incentive to use it over the other two Paldean breeds.
If I made the shinies for the Paldean variants, it'd be like this:
Combat: black areas become maroon
Blaze: black areas become reddish-orange
Aqua: black areas become blue
I know it's basic and probably boring beyond words, but I feel like it beats the current versions.

I like blaze breed best too. Plus kind of digging cud chew, because if you find a berry that removes status conditions, it works like shed skin. Or just let it chew on a sitrus berry for healing. Probably less useful during a competitive battle, but it's good during a playthrough.
In a vacuum, I might have picked Blaze Breed off looks alone, but as someone who picked Violet not knowing anything about these variants (it was largely because of Ceruledge anyway), I needed a Water-type and my boy Achelous the Aqua Breed more than pulled his weight, so I have to go with him.
I was fighting a Paldean Tauros in my Pokémon Scarlet a few days ago but immediately tried to escape the fight.

Thank Arceus! I got my Shiny Litleo and OMG she is so precious when she follows my character around. Oh and the little cry I hear when I talk to her in game.😍😍😍😍 Unfortunately I did box 2 team members I had been using until I caught Litleo, those two being my starter, Fuecoco, and an Adamant Nature Shroodle, who also looks adorable when following you. The way it hops is just so adorable.
Funny story, while I was running through packs of tauros I got randomly tackled by a shiny one. Never even saw him lol.
I like Blaze breed, but I picked Scarlet with Skeledirge. So, no blaze Tauros or Armarouge because of the type over lap that I don't like. My theme was "probably has a cloaca though and that worked out. I had a Sylveon, but pretty sure that thing has a cloaca

I have had my copy of Pokémon Violet since release day and I still have not encountered an Aqua Breed Tauros 😂
I got my Aqua Breed from an online raid battle.
Kantonian Tauros has been an absolute favorite Pokemon of mine, and if I could catch one in Pokemon Scarlet, I would. But if I had to choose one of the Paldean Tauros, I'd say my personal favorite is Blaze Breed. Mostly because I beat my first playthrough of Scarlet with a Blaze Breed Tauros on my team.
Fire/Fighting is an overused typing but still Blaze breed and Aqua breed are tid for favorite for me i do wish the differences was bigger then just the tail pattern and the color traces in the fur

While I like Kantonian Tauros, my favorite in terms of design is Blaze Breed Tauros. I also like that it is the only Fire/Fighting type that isn't a starter. In terms of battle, I've only used the Kantonian Tauros during the post-game.
I wish that the horns of Combat Breed Tauros were better.
I've come to believe that we won't be getting a minotaur-inspired Pokémon unless a future region is based off of Greece.
I have never seen a tera raid for the aqua breed and flame breed tauros, I am convinced they dont exist as tera raids

Kantonian Tauros sheer force is OP if you equip the life orb item. Tauros gets the boosts from sheer force and life orb without taking the life orb damage
I choose Scarlett as my version for blaze breed.
The funny thing is while looking for a water breed for my first play through if violet i finished a fight inky to be charged fr ok m behind by a shiny combat breed

both blaze and aqua are amazing, but shiny blaze breed is the best
they just gave up when asked to make different regional variants and shinnies. I feel like they just got it out of the way or was jelly they didn't get to work on something they deemed cool like a legendary.

Why would they do that to the shiny? I will treat this as one that if I stumble upon it, great. But I am not digging around for one.
