- Today we'll be looking at the two forms of Farfetch'd - Kanto's original Frfetch'd, introduced in Generation 1's Pokemon Red & Blue, and Galarian Farfetch'd, introduced in Generation 8's Pokemon Sword & Shield, as well as it's evolution, Sirfetch'd! Which of these duck Pokémon will reign supreme?

Welcome to Form Fight! In this series we take a look at Pokemon with more than one form, Pokemon with branched evolutions or even counterpart pokemon, have a look at the differences between this Pokemon and try and decide which one is the best!
So we can see these Pokemon in action on the battlefield, we also have a Metronome battle between those Pokemon - but just for a little bit of fun!

Tbh, Sirfetch'd's design is disappointing to me. It just doesn't look like an evolution to me. If you were to show me that this is Galarian Farfetch'd, I'd believe you. To me, it's just a Farfetch'd but with white feathers.
But not all evolutions need to be drastically different. That is the natural diversity of the Pokemon world. It makes the world seem more relatable and believable.
@@TheDeathmail I do understand that. But what I'm saying is that Sirfetch'd doesn't really look like an natural evolution. I'm not saying it has to be dramatically different. I'm thinking something similar to how Raichu looks different but not THAT different compared to Pikachu.

Here is the thing you got to remember for evolution... it's not a battle power thing, but a lore thing... Pokemon are supposed to naturally grow... so even if the Stat Distribution is bad, it's something it naturally gained. That said, the stats are better or worse often for game play rather than if the Pokemon were real
Farfetched is one of my first ever favourite pokemon
I think the design is ace, but I think the stats could be a lot better and I was so happy when a evolution was announced
Sirfetch'd actually carried my Sword team pretty hard surprisingly enough. I really love it in design and how it made Farfetch'd from a laughing stock to actually good. However I really prefer Galar Farfetch'd a lot more design wise. Its just so badass how it just glares at you like Guts from Berserk. It just looks really awesome, even if its not as good as its evolution.

I’m playing through Let’s Go Eevee again and I’ve got a catch combo of 33 Pidgey and a Lure going while in Viridian Forest. Trying to get a Shiny Piedgey as my first team member.

Tbh i wished that instead of getting galaren farfetch'd and sirfetch'd in Sword/Shield. we would instead get stock farfecth'd but that COULD evolve to either galaren farfetch'd or sirfetch'd.
and change Galaren farfetch'd stats to be more of a high risk but high reward pokemon.
I didn't know that Form Fight videos were basically the evolution of Branched Evolution videos.
Might have to go back and watch the ones I've missed.

Farfetch'd with the leek kicks ass when all you're attacks are crits.
Sirfetch'd helped a great deal in the recent International Challenge, got me a few wins in Ranked Battles too, plus I think it looks the best. White and green with a bit of golden yellow, one of my favourite colour combinations.
Also the green screen looks great, you really rock it ☆

Kanto Farfetch'd needs an evolved form. I could see it being called Roninfetch'd for more of that Samurai look, since Galarian Farfetch'd 's evolution, Sirfetch'd has the knight look.

The best way to evolve Galarian Farfetch’d is give it the Leek as a held item and use Fury Cutter 3 times. Make sure your opponent is high enough level to take 3 hits or fight against something that resists Bug. Carkoal would be an ideal opponent as it heavily resists Bug.
You know, I love kanto farfetch'd. In gen 6 it was on my team until the end and it looks pretty neat.
I always knew regional variants were not worth much. This proves it.

In all honesty metronome battles aren't the fairest way to deduce who's the best. A fair battle would be using their meta movesets or something

I've always liked Farfetchd ever since I got Dux and I had a monster in Pokemon Y because it was so over levelled because I taught it false swipe and used it to catch everything. Sirfetched is my man though. Absolute MVP of my first run through sword

im glad who won won :D!. as for the background. I was wondering what was different. I liked the white screen but have no issue with the green screen. You do what you like. I didn't find the white boring or uninteresting at all. Was just clean. Honestly though either way is fine. :D

I like that we're starting off right on the Form Fight background this time! I think I prefer Sirfetch'd over Kantonian Farfetch'd because it's more useful in battle and its design is cool, but I definitely prefer Kantonian Farfetch'd over Galarian Farfetch'd because its typing makes more sense given its design. Why is a bird that is capable of flying a pure Fighting-type? Does the leek it carry weigh it down too much for it to fly? I would've liked it better if Galarian Farfetch'd and Sirfetch'd had been Fighting/Flying; maybe then they could've given give Hawlucha a run for its money.

I like all three forms, but Kanto has more type advantages and resistances which helped to balance out the stats of Sir. Fetched.
It's obvious that Sirfetch'd is the best but that battle was ridiculous in terms of repeated bad luck for the Sirfetch'd team

I don’t think the Pokémon universe weighs them right. I think that all farfetch weigh the same but the Galatians forms weigh more because of the things they are holding and that’s why it says they are heavier but without their stalks they weigh the same.

i kinda hate that you gave Kanto Farfetch'd probably their most effective ability but dump an impractical ability on the Galar Farfetch'd and Sirfetch'd just because both are the Hidden Ability. kinda leans odds in Kanto's favor, not a lot but still
Galarian was at a disadvantage because fighting types are weak to flying so if kanto used brave bird or sky attack then that would have done a chunk of damage. Galarian is very misleading because they look like birds but they are weak to flying

I'm going to guess the original farfetch'd won the Battle because it's a flying type, unlike the new version, which is a fighter type, Fighters are weak against flying.

Haven't reached the battle yet, but on the evolutions getting a bonus to pathetic stats: I think it's because it's an evolution. It might still be pathetic, but it's at least still better than the pre-evo.
