    Having previously worked for 19 years,as a valeter/detailer for ford garage,i would agree there is a gap in the market for mobile buffing and glazers, the figure quoted was a p*** take
    PS you have just shown how easy the job is, if you remember that friction causes heat and heat is the enemy
    💪

    • @cvrpov
      @cvrpov  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think the figure quoted should be relative to the overall outcome of the job. I could have been there all night if I a) didn't have the skills b) 20 years experience c) the damage was worse than expected d) I f'ed up a panel. I could have charged the client 80 quid, 2 hours graft at £40.00, which is my minimum flat rate an hour. That would of been fair. This is probably why many small businesses are going out of business, unfortunately. Poor pricing and mentality.

    Great work man, ive done plenty of these types of single stage polishes for trade customers, no washing just a wipe down with some fairy liquid, a panel wipe to get some tar off and buff hard on the heavy scratched areas and a quick wip over the rest and clean down with a wet rag with some trade wax on it and touch up, they send it for a wash and it looks like a different car, i call it a 60 minute lash up 👍

    Great vid again, 2 questions:
    1: did you wash the car before polishing?
    2: would you now choose the clear coat only touch up on some of these scratches instead of wet sanding?
    Planning to start my business / service like you say, but still practising a bit. Biggest downside for me: the weather, so still not sure if to go mobile or in a location so Im not so weather dependant, but some people like the service of getting it done at their driveway like this video...

    • @cvrpov
      @cvrpov  หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      No I didn't wash the car. Bodgy, I know, but also, doesn't really matter in this kind of job or trade work.
      With more time I would of maybe use the clearcoat method on a few, but it's swings and roundabouts sometimes. I did mobile spraying and this kind of work for 5 years on the road. Make sure you get a good gazebo and it's do-able all year round with very low overheads.
