@@rafaelguerra9608the point still stands? No harm in analyzing a relatively new strategy for MK 1. Sonic came in 2nd after climbing from losers. Still impressive for a new Character and Kameo team. Even Tyler and Boon were surprised when I was sitting next to them during Top 8 😂
@@RiderCGA The tournament was great and Sonic fox went crazy. Even the finals was awesome seeing both when at it until the final round and it wasn't a sweep. Some epic combacks and mad combos. Saw it on youtube but enjoyed it like crazy

It is always crazy to think of how SonicFox continues to be a magician in NRS titles. Just when you think you have the guy figured out, he pulls out a new trick and that leads to a whole new mess of trouble.
Going to be fun to see if there’s any shake ups when we get to EVO (which I think might have Homelander, but Ferra might not make the cut).
Because they are low skill and often dial a combo games.
And he will use any cheat tactics he can.

After doing the 1-2 viltrumite grab the trick is to hit the 1 in the air AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and you will always get the standing 3 into bf4.
This, for me, was such a special weekend for this game. I thought this was the most exciting mk tourney in years... This game has gotten so good and the story lines are really coming together for final kombat after years of build.

On a 12, db31 hit confirm, is there an easier version of the j1, 3, bf4 combo that's more consistent without sacrificing a ton of damage?
My roommate got into MK for Omni-man, and Mavado completely changed his performance. Armored launch, throw combo or throw trap, 212 and 122 confirms, all of it makes him a much better character. Most likely top 1 Kameo for him IMO.
I agree but I just can’t give up the Lao kameo just for the ability to make f3 safe
@@LaRew702 If you ever get tired of using lao you should give kano a try. I found a pretty useful OS for F3. As you do F3, do forward kameo and hold kano ball. From F3/holding forward kameo go directly into viltrumite stance grab. If they get hit by F3, let go of kano ball as they get grabbed and go into the usual BnB. If they block F3, let go of kano ball directly after viltrumite stance grab on block to stay plus. Kano is nice because you can do all the ignorant moves to get in and only use half the kameo bar as opposed to the full/almost the full bar for holding lao hat.
Movado can turn a D2 uppercut into a full combo for everyone. He is the best kameo for probably every character right now, minus a few exceptions.
Expect a nerf.
@PNDK&M. Could you please do a quick video on Reiko's/Janet combo that Rewind does. For the life of me, I cannot get the U/F 214 air string to connect (it always whiffs and appears that I'm too far away) with Reiko after the EX slide and was told a micro dash has to be done. I have tried this for hours and cannot get the timing down unless I'm missing something?
The 29% grab combo is tough to do but worth
Omni man is easily the most slept on character in the game imo

Ketchup, just to clarify at 15:19, you don't need to wait at all. You just need to buffer the 1 and the 3 and you'll get it 100% of the time.

There’s so many teams that mesh well but people will never find them because they just want to follow the meta. I play kenshi with jax kameo and I found some good tech to set up sento sandwich.
Not sure if this is known but you can get 29.3 off his wakeup. Micro step forward after Movado call and time a standing 3 to connect BF4
I always like yo say that if you want to win a tournament SonicFox is part of, the best thing to do is hope they aren't at that tournament.
I knew it when this Cameo first dropped. Janet can do a lot of the similar things on this future as well

Mavado having the-100 health definitely seems like it was the right call, it is seeming like he's a character in the same vein as launch cyrax that just makes everyone significantly better, it does suck for Nitara though since having a full combo less health than everyone else when she has him.

He only works if the opponent is airborne. I believe there’s some exceptions to this, but I haven’t encountered many at all.

Nicolas from Chile beat him in Grand Finals at combo breaker recently, but he’s top2 if not #1.
For some reason, Mavado simply does not work for me online. He just refuses to come half of the time, even when holding button. In local versus and practice it's 100%
the reason is your non existent execution
@@omgoat There is no execution in pressing 2 buttons while holding down kameo. I encourage people to try Ermac 3,4 and hold forward kameo and tell me it works online every single time like it does offline
@@UlssiIt does. I was playing some ranked matches and it worked everytime for me. Maybe you just need a new controller. Or maybe you just need to input it normally? I don't know why you're holding down the button, just hit the forward + kameo input once *after* you've done your move. I said after because I know that sometimes if you press the kameo button and a normal button at the same time, the kameo move doesn't come out.

So you don't even need to hit confirm mavado? But every other kameos you have to, sounds a bit silly when there's no risk honestly. The skill is completely gone cause you just input it every time. Very stupid

I gotta assume this is gonna be nerfed, it doesn't seem intentional. Like turning pretty much all of your strings into a launcher that is going to allow you to recover 75% of the spent kameo during the combo doesn't seem like it's something that CAN be balanced. Even if the combo only did 5% damage it would still be busted and then you attach on top of it that it won't come out on block it just feels like NRS just didn't come up with this combo in their testing or didn't realize the implications of it. I mean SonicFox is going to dominate the game given that is what they do to NRS games but this definitely feels like something anyone can do and if it isn't nerfed then at the next major it's just going to be this team in top 8.
The entire point of this kameo is combo extensions that everyone that pairs with him gets
Nah hes got a point, recovering your assist meter mid combo with Omni man shouldn’t be a thing. I haven’t played mk1 but he seems to be able to do lengthy combos without spending meter. It is something nrs may need to look into.
@@MastrDante Most characters in the game have combos long enough that Mavado regenerates when the combos done, this isn’t Omni-Man specific
@@huffindoback3776 combo extension is not the same as combo starting. The problem with this kameo is that it STARTs a combo meaning for the duration of the combo it's recovering meaning by the time the combo is done you've pretty much got the kameo back and there is no downside to it, there is no counter play to it, you just get a free launch that is going to be back up 1-2 seconds after you finish your combo. I'm fine with it functioning how it functions, short of the fact that it recovers during the combo. I mean the whole "it only comes out on hit" is also bullshit but is acceptable but a launching move with a built in option select that will recover before the next interaction is the definition of a busted move.
