They were in older Mk games. A top level shang tsung could have some serious damage. It was just always the question of "why morph when you can just pick the character?"
i think just to wrest the odd when he paired with the character that give him disadvantage

Been a havik main in MK1 almost since day 1 so happy my boys getting some much needed buffs
Just noticed that Quan's idle stance in MK1 is a reference to the Tang Soo Do stance he had in Deadly Alliance. Neat.
Imagine in MK1 Titan Havik as a boss in Khaos Regins use as a special movie torso spin wielding his slicked mace from MK1 credits scene, but unfortunate NRS shows us in khaos regins bludgeon with huge iron nails so Havik in MK1 will never use his spicked mace.. 🤣

I never really got the hype for Havik in the 3D era but I absolutely love his look and gameplay in MK1.
Nice to know that Liu Kang is the next episode, my bet was on either of the two characters that debuted in MK2 and are available as kameos in MK1. :)

EDIT: I had to check the song title for my own satisfaction. It's Guile's theme from SF EX2 and its called "Flash Train".

Yes Havik is weak, why was he popular? Because the character design was genius and yeah the 3D era had some flops but we can’t pretend that MK didnt have flops in the arcade era, but Havik is one of the many greats and I’d love to see him beef with Hotaru once again
Also I have a lot to say about Havik in mk1 all I gotta say is I was disappointed, he felt so incomplete as a character, these buffs have me super excited though

I know he's got two projectiles already in 1 but I wish they'd give him back that low projectile where he folds himself backwards, that move was so entertaining imo
The funny thing is that the boss version of him from Invasions gave him said classic low projectile (albeit it functions a bit differently there).
Who knows, maybe we will see actual Havik get that move some day, but he is already getting a lot of new stuff in Khaos Reigns so that will have to wait.

If he comes back after being the main villain I wouldn't mind seeing a more free spirited Havik. My favorite thing about him is that he's not an "evil" guy so much as he is a religious individual who believes causes causing Chaos is needed for the Universe to function. I've noticed they've been trying to put characters in boxes more recently. A lot of the neutral characters like Nitara, Scorpion, or Havik have been shoehorned into either being good guys or bad guys.
I believe that as well. When he convinced Kabal to rebuild the Black dragon, it was like meeting a former musician and convincing them to reform their old band.

Liu Kang’s episode? Man that’s gonna be a BIG one. While he may not be as popular as franchise poster boy Scorpion he’s still a big and important name in MK. And like Scorpion and Sub-Zero it’s hard to imagine Mortal Kombat without Liu Kang, him being in any MK is a MUST.

Hello ! The EXBF2 will add a free EX move right after it. It means that if you trigger the db1 special move right after it, it will be the EX version for 0 bar. This is how I understand what I saw.

If youre playing deception or armageddon and ban throw loops and infinites then why are you even playing? Thats like playing mv3 or HBK and banning infinites. Its all the game is
Cant lie Havik Mk1 moveset is incredibly lack luster. Special moves aren't that viable, he's very slow, and feels like he's missing the grossness that made me love em as a kid. Def needs more self mutilated moves. It feels like Havik but with a PG-13 twist.
