that sub has an answer for everything and punishes impatience insanely well.
reminds me of grandmaster, with how well he locks you in the corner. His use of klone and jump back dive kick was exceptional. Throw in the sereena kameo to control space and it's a damn minefield.

I can play for hours and only fight Jonny, Omni, and Kenshi. Feels like I don't get to experience half the game lol.

@@jpeg.jordaan Haha I would love to fight a couple lizard bois. Seems like all I fight is Cage and Omni. Omni gets old fast too. He is probably my least fun character to fight. The fact he gets a full 40 from one touch is very oppressive.

I barely got mk1 3 days ago and I came to the conclusion despite all the talk sub sub zero is cold (no pun intended). Honestly having fun playing him.

I love these niche players that take a difficult character and make it theirs with style. You led the wave with Reptile. Maybe people will start to follow suit with Sub if they have a good player to learn from.
What about Sicander? I don't watch him, but isn't he like the best Sub-0 player? I'm a Sub main, but I'm not sure if I'd want there to be more than there is. On one hand that would mean that Sub probably got nerfed so wouldn't be the worst character, but I just hate mirror matches.

This sub beat sik in their kombat league set yes but they also played afterwards a first to 5 and sik won 5 - 3 so I'd say they are pretty evenly in terms of skill.

I have said this over and over. Pros can make any character really really good. And defense is always the key if you can defend as then punish the attacks. But 90% of people are just avg to good and certain characters are way OP when their powers are easy to spam or do.
This sub zero is waxing 95% of most players.
That video was absolutely amazing!!! Sub Zero combos in this game look mind blowing!!! The fact that he is actually pretty hard to play with makes it all the more cooler when you’re actually good with him!

Sub zero is literally a skill/knowledge character. Damage is ok but now in mk1 if you see a sub you know it’s gonna be a good player since they knows how mk1 is. Not an mk11 player but a mk1 player
I’ve chosen my character to be sub zero in this mk and I’ve learned a couple combos but definitely studying the combo this guy does he’s insane
this sub has probably studied him so hard in training to be this insane

Right it felt good I was a MKX kid back then I got really good with reads and punishes I did max combos of 30 something and my main offensive was straight up mixes and pokes

I love being played as subzero since mk9 and i love to watch others playing as him also, i don't know why many people hate or think him as cheap.
the sub didnt use any gimicks or bs, was just good at the game with really good reads and game sense. so refreshing to see

Yeah but beating another sub zero doesnt really mean you are the best when you olay sareena. When you get to high levels and arent playing an assist that adds a mixup like lao you will never open good players up. Subs overhead sucks and good players react to it.

This Sub Zero is doing 2/3rds of all the stuff that I've been asking certain popular Sub Zeros to do just to get yelled down to say that it's not good, that options like that will never work against Sonicfox, or that the option just straight up does not exist. lmao

The best Sub Zero i ever saw, amazing combos, this player makes Sub Zero look tier 1
when he was jumping and reacting with dive kick to your force balls after the clone, I think you could have called far scorpion to anti air him, might be something to look at in the lab
I know a lot of people have been saying Sub Zero is low tier, but honestly, for me I have the toughest time against Sub Zero more than pretty much any other characters.

oh, this guy is using all of the tools... i so rarely see any reason to extend combos on sub because of scaling. But those sereena drain kombos, or the kombo off her reversal flip gain him so much meter he can afford to spend it. really interesting.
edit: this dive kicks' frame data is way better than i thought. I was under the assumption it needed meter to combo and was death on block. but this is reminding me of yun in SF4.
The frame data on the dive kick is variable. Worst case scenario, it's full launch punishable, but this guy uses it and spaces it well. I only saw it being a punish 3 times.
I don't think sub is as terrible people make it out to be but compared to other characters he does lack damage

That's bull. Sub is a great character. So you want him to have super high damage with an ice clone and a mostly safe air dive kick. Get real.

As much as I hate Bi-Han's characterization in this game, seeing this video makes me want to main him even more as a longtime Sub-Zero fan nonetheless.
He used 2 bars and a kameo to get a 37% hit combo. It just shows, how unbalanced this game is. He is a very good player, and maybe he can beat other good players from time to time. But he won't win any top tournaments or stay in the top ranks with sub zero. For me it looks like a good player wants to have some fun with his most favorite char.
But on the other hand, it is very sad. Against Omniman, even he would get crushed.
I mean how unfair is it, that you punish him with a one bar combo which does almost 50% dmg. This game is just broken.
His Combos are really good and he barely goes over 30% dmg.
Even his corner combos don't even go over 40%. AH it is so rediculous, this just makes me soooo mad. Subzero is soooooo bad. He plays so good and it is so godamn unfair.
His 17 hit corner combo only did 32 bars and he used a kameo and a bar 🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh cmon, i bet he is crying every day.
