This is one of my very favorite whiskeys. I was able to get one of the first batches back in 2018. It's my number one for small batch whiskeys. I personally think its better than some bourbons.
Should have hit us up! We are friends with the owner and have a ton of cool versions of revival we could hook you up with. The SiB are pretty wild. Burnt Church makes a Jimmy red corn also but it is pretty young still. It all started from Chef Sean Brock bringing it back down here in the low country and using it in a bunch of dishes. It’s now a staple grain here and used everywhere. The sorghum is cool for sure. The bottles are pricey so you have a good hook up!
Thanks for this review. Had seen a few ppl talk about it on Reddit and managed to grab a bottle of the Jack Rose pick at ~114 proof. Really impressed. Not sure if they're aging in smaller barrels or what, but it seems really well developed for such a young product.
