      Thanks. We don't have time for haters on this channel. There's a reason why my channel is one of the biggest car detailing channels on TH-cam as we're on our way to 1 million subscribers, and have surpassed 105 million views: my audience trusts me and they know how passionate I am about car detailing, and I love sharing my knowledge and passion with my viewers.
      But like anything in life, it's impossible to please everyone, plus there are always people jealous of one's success. Those people should spend less time trolling the internet, and more time working harder on their own life and trying to improve themselves instead of hating on others. ;)

    Thanks for the update Pan. I heard that the Adams Graphene Coating in the Black and Gold bottle (rather than the lighter Black and Silver bottle) like you show here is a very good coating. I like when real world updates are done to show the actual effectiveness of products after being in normal day to day driving conditions in all weather, especially up there in Canada where you get those brutal winters. There is probably no better test bed than Canada to test real world effectiveness of any type of wax, sealant, or coating due to the various driving conditions you experience up there. No manufacturer will tell you any of the "cons" per se of their product, they only give you what they think is the good aspects of the product due to wanting to make all their coin on the product! I think it goes a long long way when you show real, live, normal conditions that all of us experience when driving. I hope you are having a great start to 2023 Pan and look forward to your upcoming exceptional content, conducting reviews, product testing, interviews, etc. I would love to see some more content using that beautiful Porsche 911 you have on your hands sir! Maybe when you do a big spring detail after your harsh winter to get the car prepared for a glorious summer of enjoying your car driving the roads of your beautiful Country, especially in the summer time.

Both are garage kept and only driven during nice weather, so of course it's holding up really well. I should be picking up a 2019 Ford Fiesta ST this coming weekend, and will be doing a full paint correction/polish come the Spring and will then apply the Adam's Advanced Graphene Coating on that as well. That will be my daily driver year round, and will be parked outside, so it will have to deal with all four seasons. That will give me a much better idea on how the coating will hold up under less than ideal conditions. Seeing how it's performing here gives me hope that it should last a good while.

      Hahaha I doubt my girlfriend will still have her vehicle at that point. I don't think anyone will test coatings for that long. Also, keep in mind that "claimed" durability is never the actual real world durability. For many reasons and variables that scientists can't account for in their testing: prep, application, conditions, daily driver vs weekend driven, car that stays outside in the elements 24/7 vs garage kept, maintenance, etc.
      So what they do in labs is simulate washes and certain conditions as best they can and extrapolate durability. So I view durability more as an comparison between different products, and not a true durability. Meaning a 7 year coating should in theory last longer compared to a 2 year coating, but I don't expect the 7 year coating to actually last 7 years. You will likely get 4 to 5 years out of it in real world use.
      Watch an interesting video I made with an industry chemist who explains testing and durability claims: th-cam.com/video/A8V7_HysfwA/w-d-xo.html

    I coated my BMW with the original Adams Graphene Ceramic Coating in 2020, and it is still holding up very well. Every three months I add in Adams Ceramic Boost after a maintenance wash. The water beading and sheeting characteristics are great, and the paint really “pops” especially after doing the ceramic boost! The only problem with this product is that it is more difficult to apply than other ceramic coatings, and there is a higher probability of getting some raised coated areas. If you can apply indoors using the UV light, you can probably catch that, but if you have to apply outside it is really hard to catch before everything is completely cured.

      CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 is still my favourite consumer grade coating, as mentioned in my most recent awards video here: th-cam.com/video/gRwsznwfTwE/w-d-xo.html
      That being said, that coating lasts 24 months on average. The Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating has a claimed durability of up to 9 years, so in theory should last longer. Nobody has had the chance to test it for over three years yet, as it's still fairly new to the market. It's also a bit more difficult to apply compared to CQUK.

Think it is time I jump on to Adam's products. I definitely know how you feel with the harsh Canadian weather since I am from Toronto. Thank you for the in depth video. Always a great learning tool are your videos

      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Jameel. Just to be clear, the Adam's Graphene Shampoo doesn't add any hydrophobic properties or protection, as I mentioned in the video, the graphene in this case is only for better lubrication and also the soap has superior degreasing properties compared to the regular Adam's Car Shampoo, hence why it helps to restore the hydrophobics that might be masked by grime and road film.

      @Pan The Organizer ... sadly I reluctantly utilize the local car wash facilities... I am reluctant to use the waterless wash method.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always use water when accessible/possible. I would never recommend a waterless wash unless you have ZERO access to water. If you can at least fill a bucket with water, a better alternative to a waterless wash is using a rinseless wash.
      A rinseless wash still uses water (in the bucket) compared to a waterless wash that uses ZERO water. In a waterless wash method, you just spray the waterless wash and wipe. Hence why rinseless washes are considered a safer technique compared to waterless. Less chances of scratching and marring the paint.
      And also, with a rinseless wash, use common sense. If the car is super dirty, you would pre-rinse first with a garden hose or pressure washer. Rinseless wash doesn't mean you never rinse, it just means no rinsing is needed at the end of the process.
      But my favourite method to wash a car is the traditional one with buckets, water and microfiber wash mitts.

    As always an amazing video Pan and I love the real time unedited testing that you provide to us the viewers, but as usual I do have a question. How do we know that the wash is actually unclogging the pores of the ceramic coating and not just adding a "topper" effect to the existing ceramic coating making it appear as if its decontaminated the coating? It is a question that I have often been asked but cant actually verify with an explanation to the question. I am not saying that the wash is in fact just masking the dirty ceramic below and adding back a hydrophobic effect, but genuinely asking this question as it is something that I would like to better understand. I hope my question is making sense and thank you for taking the time to answer.

      To answer your question, you can use which ever maintenance spray you like, regardless if it's graphene or ceramic. Both technologies are compatible. So you could apply a graphene spray on a ceramic coating, and you can use a ceramic spray on a graphene coating. Keep in mind that graphene coatings are a ceramic base formulation, with reduced graphene oxide (RGO) infused in them. Ceramic coatings and graphene coatings are very similar overall. ;)

    Hey Pan love your videos as always? What are your thoughts on the graphene coating vs a ceramic coating when it comes to UV protection. • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Measuring UV protection is nearly impossible unless you're in a lab environment, so we rely on manufacturer claims on that. It doesn't matter if it's graphene or ceramic on that topic. Both should protect the clear coat equally. Most graphene coatings are a ceramic coating with reduced graphene oxide (RGO) infused in them anyways.
      How do you know that the coating created "major holes"?? That seems impossible to see. You don't see the coating on the clear coat.

    Hi Pan - I hope you're having a great day; and once again, thanks for all the great content. I finally 'bit the bullet' and put a ceramic coating--specifically, the Adams Advanced--on my pickup. I spent close to 26 hours--decontaminating, claying, compounding, polishing, and of course, applying the coating. It went well except that I didn't anticipate how fast the Adams would flash when my garage was at 82 degrees.
    That said; the real reason I'm writing is to ask your advice. I still have a few days before my first wash; and I was wondering what you would recommend as a "topper". Do I really need to buy a ceramic topper or one of the Adams products you used in this video? I already have P&S Bead Maker (blended with a bit of Dream Maker). I also have Turtle Wax Graphene Flex Wax. Are either of these sufficient; or should I invest in a true topper to use every few months? Thanks--I really appreciate your opinion.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      Yes that would be a good maintenance. Of course, I would still use a drying aid (like the Adam's Graphene Detail Spray) after you wash the car regularly.

    Great video can you show us the uv light on the coting 🙂

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The UV light is only when you are applying the coating the first time. I showed that in this video: th-cam.com/video/idU5XsHTj7Y/w-d-xo.html
      I asked that question to the main chemist who formulates this, Chris Gallahar, and here was the answer I received:
      "The UV-tracer is designed as an application aid and a double-check immediately after application. The UV-tracer in the product is a fluorescing optical brightener and while it is robust, it is not as robust as the ceramic coating and will break down when over exposed to UV light like several sunny days.
      It’s not designed to withstand more than a week or so after the coating has been applied. It’s for visual confirmation of the successful installation of the coating and can help act as a training aid as well as an opportunity to evaluate how the coating has leveled and whether different application techniques get better results."

    Hi Pan, great video. Had a question...with Adam's Advanced Graphene coating...how do you maintain the car a year or 2 out? meaning is it recommended to clay the car a couple of years after applying this coating? or do you simply do what you're doing in this video for the 7 to 9 years after applying the coating? going in with the assumption it lasts that long lol

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maintenance of a coated vehicle is super simple. Wash regularly. And once every 2-3 months, do a deeper maintenance wash like in my tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/IqIW78FmRYU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cqpJh49IJpYEFRzn

    Pan, would you recommend the Adams's advanced on top of Xpel PPF? I know you liked Halo in your previous video. I have a '23 Corvette being delivered Friday that will be half PPF coated. So, one brand ceramic coating for the entire car or one brand for the PPF and another brand for the non-PPF paint. If so what brands do you like to date for DIY. Thanks for the great videos!

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      You could certainly use the Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating both on the PPF and painted surfaces if you want. It will avoid you from buying two separate coatings. Some coatings like the Adam's are versatile and can be applied to multiple surfaces like paint, glass, trim, wheels, PPF, etc.

    Recent rain has been putting waterspots on my car for the past couple of months no matter what I do, about 3 months ago I went through whole paint decon and paint correction with a layer of wax+sealant and still I would get etching in the paint after rain. I believe acid rain is culprit because the coating on my windshield was completely stripped and was left feeling rough and coarse with water spots. Will be looking to upgrade to a ceramic coating to see if that works.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A ceramic coating won’t make the etching go away. If water spots have been left untreated for a while, they need one of three methods:
      1) a water spot remover spray
      If that doesn’t work, go up in intensity and
      2) machine polish the area (compound and polish)
      If that still doesn’t work, it means the minerals from the water spots really etched through the clear coat and at that point the only option left is
      3) water sanding followed by paint polishing
      And if that still doesn’t work, a panel respray is the only solution.

    • @poyo3582
      @poyo3582 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Pan The Organizer they're not that bad they definitely will come out with a machine polish most of the water spots came off with a wash but you can still see them if you wipe with a damp towel probably etched in the clear coat will be buying gyeons water spot remover a full 1 step polish then a quality ceramic coating. Thanks for the help pan!👍

I’m using rupes pads and lake country HDO blue pad, they do remove the imperfections but it takes for ever to do a small sections. I was wondering if you use a special pad that removes imperfections in no time. Thank you!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no magical combination unfortunately, as every paint is different. Paints have soft or hard clear coats, no the same defects, not the same oxidation level, etc.
      Hence why we always do test spots to find out what the best compound/polish and pad combination is for your specific paint and level of paint correction you want to achieve.
      For deeper correction, perhaps look into the new Rupes microfiber cutting discs (microfiber discs have usually stronger cutting power compared to foam pads) and and heavier cut compound, like this combo:
      Pads: bit.ly/3vU04Xs
      Compound: bit.ly/3X4RX6q
      And then after that step, you would move to use a polishing pad and polish to refine the surface, boost gloss, clarity, and remove the sanding marks from the compound stage.
