    The Icelandic horse is actually unique to the world because it has remained the same since the Viking age. That is largely due to the fact that Iceland has really strict laws regarding the breed, no horses can be imported to the island and the horses that are exported are never allowed back into the country to prevent foreign diseases for example. The law also states that one cannot import any equipment or anything related to horse breeding or horse ownership, all to prevent the breed from getting contaminated. Therefore the Icelandic horse is unique, in size, in its ability to withstand the harsh Icelandic winters (by growing a thick winter coat), and it is also the only horse breed in the world that can walk in five different ways (horses normally only have four different walks).

    Hey Guys. I've been loving the Iceland vids. I'm totally going now. Like you, I've been wanting to see the Northern lights. As much as I love a good beach I'm totally down for a cold weather vaca. The images are stunning. You brought up some of the prices which are not too bad. The beer seemed really cheap in comparison to Toronto. $3.00 Canadian is not uncommon for a good IPA beer. I may have to move to Iceland given how cheap the beer is there. :). You two make a great team. Thanks for sharing your trips around the globe and a little something I have to admit......I've been shazaming your music. My partner and I joke that if Chris and Carol were ever in my car you'd be like...."this music sounds sooo familiar." :)

    Very beautiful land with really nice waterfalls, volcanic vents plus volcanos. The cost of food is almost as expensive as in America now. Gas is really low there then paying up to $7 a gallon in places in America. I hope you both have been enjoying the nice ice cold weather and bitter winds. Like I said before, I live through those temps each year and it gets old fast. But for Carol to have a chance to visit a place like this is amazing as for you too Chris. Iceland's pretty expensive for sure. I realized though, being from the USA, that after doing the currency conversion, and also calculating backward to remove the tax (built into the price) and tip (no tipping in Iceland), that restaurant prices aren't as high as they first appear. Here in the States the menu just gives the pre-tax, pre-tip price, so when figured in to the total, Icelandic prices are actually comparable, at least to urban area USA prices.
    I found that multiplying restaurant prices in ISK by .0057 (this converts currency and removes 20% tip and about 8% tax) gives a rough calculation of what an American menu price would be, at least as of April 2022. That's for restaurants only, of course. It doesn't apply for shops & services, etc. where tipping isn't a factor. :)

    7:51 -> Moscow
    9:48 -> 'Gather 'round the campfire boys...'
    18:37 -> Famous Last Words; 'That is definitely the best view.'
    9:48/18:50 -> This video shows that winter is the season to tour Iceland....the dramatic waterfall ice formations wouldn't be there in the summer.....plus the extreme contrast between the below zero winter temperature and the volcanic vents...in the summer it would just be more heat during a hot day......
    21:17 -> For 'shared bathroom' and 'private bathroom' accommodation in hostels/hotels etc. an aerosol or mist disinfectant spray(Lysol/Dettol) provides proper level of hygiene...
    22:13 -> Deal!!!! ....good price.....the grocery store prices are very reasonable and surprising with Iceland being 'small island'....the beer prices were very reasonable.....

And that's including the local ones like Blue, Lotus, etc., and with a discount coupon. :)

    God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin.Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

    The problem with TH-camrs is that everything is: great, exciting etc., etc., that is how they create their income, make a commercial like video from which ever country you visit.......
    It's pretty useless if you like a true and realistic idea of what is going on in a place or country.
    Believe me, Iceland is "nothing", dark most of the time and very boring, I have to admit that the people are nice, tolerant and relaxed about life in general.
    Go to Asia instead......
