This is the most magical thing I've ever seen David Blaine do... 19:50.... That raw emotion of his passion, dedication life work made me choke up a bit, and I rarely ever do. This is proof that if you have enough heart, and passion, and dedication with ANYTHING you set your mind to, you can achieve greatness. He spoke to himself in this moment, and to me saw the kid in himself, and why he loves magic.. and that no one can take it from him, he deserves to be highly respected as one of the best magicians. Those guys who showboat and say "look at me I do magic" are the total opposite of this man, he LOVES magic, and doesn't want people to see him, he wants them to be amazed.. and THAT is a real magician... to me.

Agreed, I also really like his voice. I'm from Australia so I notice the differences in american accents across different regions pretty easily and I honestly find the subtle New York accent so comforting. It's very warm and honest lol.

He is not anxious at all.. He is too focused and too calm to be seen as anxious during this speech. His body language doesn't show any signs of anxiety. The tremble in his voice, its got to be something else, it's strange, perhaps something strange within his personality, but he is very far from being anxious. He is very comfortable here.

Yes it is... For me, when he's choking, it's more like, need of acceptance or validation or appreciation that he also train very hard and push his self mentally and physically. That it's real . And some magic are serious and not to be doubted.

Met him once and took part in his street magic. One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in person. I watched several tricks and couldn’t for the life of me figure them out. Absolutely an amazing guy.

Holding breath and breathing while talking is a complete diferrent thing. When you hold your breath, you stop moving, close your eyes, slowing your heartrate etc. when you are speaking you are still breathing pushing the air out of your lungs, mmoving etc. you guys are stupid for comparign these two things

He is a very good example of how we can solve things in our life through practice. TAKE THINGS AS A CHALLENGE AND PROVE THEM WRONG.
This is astonishing and unbelievable. The best breath-holders in history at their best attempts and he still managed to beat ther records with his almost-everything-went-wrong attempt. He must've achieved a super-human level at the art.

The last I like the most was when he choked up at the end talking about magic is to him. It’s his life passion. I’m a magician myself. But my passion on that level is on the guitar. But this does makes me want to push harder with my illusions.

His tears is no magic but pure dedication and passion.

I free dive in Hawaiian summertime ocean and learned how to hold my breathe to surf big waves.its truly amazing to look at the sun 50-60 feet under the sea while holding your breathe.

I find myself wondering whether he has any psychological damage from this pursuit. It has to be terrifying to not be able to breathe, even when doing it on purpose. I just wonder if he wakes up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat after having a nightmare of himself drowning or something like that. Impressive stuff as far as the discipline and ability to push the human body past its perceived limits. The only downside is you do not want anyone emulating these kinds of feats, and the publicity and existence of a world record will unfortunately do just that.
