Ace u really do wonders. Went to a lake and caught my pb bass on one of your tubes. I was at a heavily fished area (I was going for trout lol) and a biggin absolutely smashed the tube. It tied me up in a few structures, but I got it up and it turned out to be almost 6 pounds.
That's a great story. Thanks for sharing! I love tubes but it seems in the Eastern US not as many people use them. They are so effective though, especially when it gets tough!

@@Livercookies tbh I think it all depends on the TH-cam channel. If there’s a lot of traffic then it’s both hard to be first and last. It’s easier to be first and easier to be last when a TH-cam channel has less traffic

Hey Ace, i grew up eating needle fish as a child. They were like sea french fries for us, we would catch them and our parents/grand parents would cook them whole for us. They would fry them whole and we would add salt/lime after cooked and were our fish french fries. My mouth is watering lol. Brings back good memories, I miss my grand parents. Thank you for bringing back those great memories Ace.

I actually caught some White Grunt on the Skyway Bridge and they were good. I do know White Grunt do not have a keep size limit but FWC says they have to be at least 100 pounds. But it’s still fun catching White Grunt.

You should’ve caught those parrot fish cuz in hawaii it’s a prize fish for eating. Recommended way to cook is steamed with ginger and onion

Huntsville, AL would welcome 74 temps! I took a pic of my outside car temp this past Friday....it read 114!! Ugh! Working right now, but will watch this video tonight! Here lately, I have been watching your brother, Micha's videos in between you posting new ones. I love the ones where he camps on the boat!
Asa, when I visited Key West we stayed at the hotel at 0 Duval Street and I fished at the restaurant that was right across from the hotel and I shouldn't have as there were signs everywhere saying fishing is prohibited, but I caught some of the biggest jack cravelle right off of the dock. Then I went over to the boardwalk and along where the charter boats dock I stood there and caught at least 50 red snapper. I threw them all back, but I impressed a captain and his first mate. They offered me a job (but I was 15 and just visiting), and then they both took me to the Hog's Breath Saloon. I walked right in (as I've always looked older than I really was) and they gave me a shot of 190 proof rum. I had no idea what is was and I thought I had drank gasoline for a second. Anyway, there were SO many big tarpon swimming around and while I couldn't have handled any of them with the Quantum Snapshot spinning reel, Shakespeare medium 6.5' 2 piece rod, and 12 lb mono rig that I had, I knew that I was lucky to get those jacks in...I am 40 now and I'll never forget my experience in Key West.

Those mangrove/grey snappers are boogers. If they can see really well they wont bite your stuff. They are smart. Like you need fairly light tackle. And they try to bite you. The first day I spent in the Florida Keys I tried to lip one like a bass. Mistake. Mangrove snapper’s and yellowtail snapper’s both have really good eyesight and they’re wary. Like you can catch 50 Lane snappers in the time that you catch just a few of the other species because their eyesight is so good

0:53 thank you, I think people can use Livescope just fine but it should be tournament banned. Not everyone can afford it and, its a huge unfair advantage to be able to just scan an area for fish. Sure you still have to get the fish to attack your bait but Bass are opportunistic hunters if you put something that's smaller than it's mouth Infront of it's face chances are it's going to bite it. Livescope completely takes the finding out of fishing.

In Denmark the needle fish. Comes close shore in spring and get up to 100cm. But normally like 75cm and alot of people love to pan sire Them. I personally dont like Them

now uh here in the maldives there is a abud ance of needle fish everywhere, a tip islet em eat a little bit before pulling. you should try fishing at nekurindhoo mangrove, another thing is here in maldives in our language we call them tholhi. they get huge at the beaches. sommetimes an arms lenth and its a hand thick. im 13 by the way.forgot to add this but us maldivians snap the needle fishes spine by bending it alot. it helps so much. the fish will have a slow painless death.
At my place if we want to catch a needle fish we just use a normal rod that doesn't have to use a reel.. like a traditional rod but a long one. Just tie up a line and hook.. we doesn't use a bait.. we just move the hook on the surface of the water.. if u notice a small needle fish will swim on the surface of the water only.. it doesn't swim on the bottom of the sea.. some times u also can see a needle fish at the middle of the ocean just swim on the surface of water.. but if its a big needle fish then it will swim on the seabed.. so we just make the hook moving like a bug or something just fell of the tree

Ace, we eat those often in sweden. Get a bigger one, wrap it in aluminium foil with some lemon, grinded black pepper, white pepper and some salt. Its great. And the bones follows the spine when u pull it out

Those could be a good fish to pickle perhaps. It'd likely dissolve the bones. Often do it with pike so I don't have to remove the Y bones. The bones either soften up enough to eat or dissolve as it sits. Looks like a good time out though.

Just a heads up Ace, those are not mangrove snapper. Mangroves are way darker, kind of a rust color. Love the content man! Keep it up!

Where in Florida do you live? I grew up and lived in Clearwater Florida until 3 years ago then I moved to Tennessee . I used to do boat detailing down there and if you need a good boat detailer I’ve got one for you. He lives in at. Pete Florida.
