Hey Ace, with the Rooster tails Cut the hook eye with wire cutters to get the hook off then put a tiny key ring an a new hook! Can even Respray them to just tape off what you don’t want painted. Thank you for all your knowledge through the years!

Would you say it’s becoming like Portland, Denver and Austin? I’ve lived in all three and eventually leave to try to find that big little city feel that the above mentioned used to have. I know a lot of TN cities are growing as are Atlanta and Phoenix. Honestly I loved Portland’s nature but it’s just too crazy now

It could be different for fish but I know when smoking pork/beef it helps alot if you “spritz” it every hour or so, all that means is get a spray bottle and fill it with water or I use half apple cider vinegar half apple juice (makes the meat a little sweeter) and just spray the meat every 45-an hour. Just thought you may want to try it it keeps the outside from getting dried out!
The footage you showed of the snake underwater with the fish carcass was a huge surprise to me. I never thought they would attempt something like that!
Reminds me of drifting the river for striper with minnows and ended up catching a 15 inch smallmouth along with some nice striper. I love the videos keep it up.
I cut the treble and put a split ring on the bottom end of the spinner. By doing this you can replace blunt trebles and use them a whole lot longer. You can dress up your trebles like a rooster tail using fly whipping material. I personally love using dyed bucktail for this job. Kind regards from the Netherlands. Love your videos.
I just brined and dried and low heat smoked white fish got the gold color and everything. Was really good with crackers 👍🏼. Next time fan it out and skin side down . Thanks for sharing ace.

I think the snapping turtle found it last because it was born with great natural hunting techniques, while the soft shell's are born with a powerful sense of smell, especially after looking at their noses, so that would explain why they got there first

Hey ace I got a tip if you ever fish the river again use plastic crawfish like green or brown color and cast it right behind a rock that is sticking up in the river and fish the part where the water is not flowing. All of the smallmouth stays right there.
