What a beast. Biggest loader i've run, was a 21 yard bucket, KAWASAKI. Had to load belly dump, from ends of bucket, (2 trips to the stockpile = 22 yard trailer )

The Element..... Yes, find a local contractor with smaller equipment, start there and work your way up. Never think even for a moment, that you can just "walk in" and start off operating even the "smallest" of the large wheel loaders (ie: Cat 992), companies with larger equipment (re: Expensive!!) look for operators with a good amount of PROVEN operating History, safety records, good and efficient operating skills (Not tearing up equipment!....there are a Lot of "hack" operators out there), in other words, the Larger (re: more expensive) the equipment, the better qualified you will NEED to be, and only the "best of the best" will get hired to operate the largest of equipment... especially that which you find in mining operations. It's Not just about how well you can operate a machine either (regardless of size) that makes a good operator, it's also Knowing your environment, the type of materials your working with and all the possible associated dangers of the conditions where you're digging and being demonstrably cognizant at all times of what you're doing and where you're working.... ie: working "the floor" versus working "a face", and how to properly "work" each type of situation and material Safely, with minimal wear and tear (damage) to the equipment your operating. Stick to it, there is a passage in the Bible - "A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher." (Gospel of Luke 6:40)...... Seek out, and learn from the very best operators you can find, so as to minimize any possible "bad" operating habits and to develop the very best skill sets you possibly can from the very beginning. Look for operators with Known and Proven reputations for being the best at whatever equipment they operate, and along with that... a proven safety record, and in doing so, you will be well on your way on becoming the very best, yourself... with time and "Consistent Practice" of those skill sets. Best of luck to you in your endeavors.
generationll...... The LeTourneau L1850 and L2300 (now P&H since 2011 - owned by Joy Global) are Both larger in power, with the L2350 (2300 hp with either the Detroit Diesel 4000 series V12 or the Cummins QSK 60 - V16) being the biggest physically but not too much so in comparison to the Cat 994K, but tractive power and breakout force are all fairly close (270 - 314,970 ft lbs), depending on the type of bucket, lift height capacity (arm length), arm and bucket piston sizes, hydraulic flow rates, material being worked, etc, etc.

Get experienced and qualified before sitting at the controls of a 994.......simples really.
13 hours??????????????????????????
that's a long shift for shure
хорошая машина. Тока не пойму: зачем колеса такого диаметра? Достаточно 1.5-2 метра для проходимости.
look fun go 994
Finally a wheel loader larger then the WA1200
You might want to look up " le torno" loaders. They are bigger than this

@@Romans--bo7br Since the introduction of this large wheel loader in 1990 the 994 has outsold them all.It is all single sourced from Caterpillar
How much does it cost? I estimate much more than 500 thousand. Right?
