In April 2022, Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Rally party, was President Emmanuel Macron’s closest challenger in the presidential election, gaining more than 40 percent of the vote.
Although she did not win, racist and Islamophobic ideas promoted by far-right parties now reverberate across French society.
In the third episode of a four-part series, The Big Picture: France in Focus takes a close look at what lies behind the far right’s appeal, and the effect on the people in its firing line.

Al Jazeera always impressed me with their videos . I always get the thing from wiki telling me it’s funded in whole or in part by the Qatar government. I find them to have integrity
They are funded by the quatari government, which means don't trust their stories about the middle east
But for European or American news they are pretty unbiased.

As much I would agree with this statement, the French decided to throw the catholic faith on the bonfire of revolution and go to bed with marxism and colonialism. The revolution destroyed French identity and history. It was the French that told the ones they conquered, they are French first, African second.
Luckily France is a secular country, not a Christian one anymore.

Far-right in the modern context is primarily driven by a hostility towards immigration and immigrants. Something called nativism. The problem is because of the impact of urbanization on family dynamics people are having less kids. Since when doing subsistence agriculture kids we're free labor so everyone had as much as you could tolerate plus 1 in case a kid died. As humanity industrialized and urbanized, people moved off the large farms into small apartments. Because of that and the fact work was requiring more and more education, led to kids now being expensive choices. This today means that the highly urbanized Western world has a below replacement level birth rate. So immigration is necessary to preserve a healthy population pyramid. That is why nativism is self defeating and not viable in the western world.
