Why just 12 days of Christmas. This has been so enjoyable. Isn’t there another series you could do? Thank you for your channel. You are such an organized teacher.
I'm sad it's almost over l enjoyed the video's every day , . Would like to see more also , l agree you are a great teacher and l find your video recipes so easy to follow 🇨🇦😊
I've been helping my precious late mother-in-law make peanut brittle for 38 of the past 40 years. She passed away 2 years ago. I'd love for her to have seen this ! Thank you for sharing this easier way of making it ! I'm definitely going to try it ❤
The microwave is the only way to make brittle. I took a microwave cooking class about 45 years ago(they were just coming into vogue) and one week was dedicated to brittle and caramel corn! Thanks for a sweet memory.
This has been a fabulous journey Tom and Melissa. Lots of nostalgia and good cheer all around. I have watched each episode and thoroughly enjoyed them. God Bless you and your family. Merry Christmas from Florida
Although I’d love to see content daily like everyone else, I do understand y’all have family and friends to celebrate with. Memories to make with loved ones. So, we’ll understand we have to share y’all. ❤ I just love how you explain everything. Looks so good.
Thank so much for those kind words. We really appreciate the support and encouragement. We didn't know what to expect when we started but we are already making plans to try to expand this next year! Have a Merry Christmas!
I do love peanut brittle. I only use Karo when a recipe calls for syrup. I do not stretch my brittle. You definitely need to have a sheet pan ready. It’s hard to believe it’s been 11 days already.. You do know we’re going to have withdrawals after tomorrow 😂. I seriously have enjoyed every one of your videos… Thank you both for caring and sharing. ❤🙏🏻A lot of people use that big thick measuring cup with a handle for this..
I always make my brittle in the microwave using cashews. It’s the best. I spray my pan and put it in a warm oven while I’m cooking the brittle. After I pour it on the pan I move the pan around to help spread it. Works really well.
Thank you, both, so much. We appreciate your encouragement. We are already discussing ways to expand our series next year. We've had such a good time creating this together. We are so happy you've chosen to join us at the table. Merry Christmas!
You should make Honeycomb candy! 12 days of Christmas is not enough, It would be nice if you did a few more days of savory appetizers, so more pretty please! 😁👍❤️
We thank you for all your work in preparation for these "daily video's." From the planning to the "You're always welcome to come sit at my table." ending. You're two special people and btw...Tom, your stories are the best! Merry Christmas 🎄
Hey y'all! Happy holidays from Panamá! Thanks Tom & Melissa for all your efforts to bring back all those traditional recipes. Although I'm Panamanian, I attended FSU @ Tallahassee. While there, I learned to love ur sweets, ur people & that wonderful Southern accent. In fact, that was the happiest time of my life.❤😊
Thank you! Thank you! My son in law expects brittle in his stocking every year, but I've been dreading making it this year because my electric stove isn't good for candy making these days. Can't regulate the heat properly. But this! This is an answer to my problem. Thank you again and Merry CHRISTmas 🎄
Thank you so much for the encouragement. We, too, have had such a good time creating this series. We hope you can find other recipes from our channel to enjoy as well. Merry Christmas!
I've cracked my head a time or two on an open microwave door. Cashew brittle is my favorite, and doing in the microwave is the cherry on top, thanks for the recipe.
These have all been really great videos and wonderful ideas for holiday treats. I actually don't want them to end but you're probably ready to move on to some actual food rather than treats 😊
Glad you like them! We have kept none of these - shared them with family and friends. We really enjoy that part of it, too. We get a sample from each one so that's a treat for us! Have a very Merry Christmas!
Enjoying this series of recipes. Why stop? They are so good and I look forward to them everyday. Your channel is so different from anyone else’s. I guess that’s why I like it so much. You explain it so well. Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!! From Texas ❤
We really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. We are already making plans for next year and we hope to be able to do even more then. We are so glad to have you watching and we wish you a very Merry Christmas.
I make microwave peanut brittle every year for my husband's siblings. I use a Pampered Chef batter bowl that has a handle. This makes handling the bowl so much easier.
I just saw on TH-cam y’all unboxing the Silver Creator Award! I’m so happy for y’all. You are my favorite TH-cam food channel. I feel like I have known you all my life because you are so good at communicating. Your wife does a great job filming you as you go through what is needed for the recipe you are making. I think having been a teacher helps you to explain the recipe so well. Thank you for all the delectable dishes you take the time to share with all of us.
Another great easy recipe! I can’t wait to try this candy. This has been a fun, tasty series. I can’t wait to see what you two do for Valentine’s Day! Praying you have a blessed Christmas! See you tomorrow!
Many years ago I worked with an older woman who made tons of candy. She always called this Cashew Crickle. I thought it was cute. I have really enjoyed these holiday recipes.
I could listen to for 5 minutes or even longer. Tom you are such a wonderful cooking teacher. You make it basic, fun snd interesting. I look forward to your channel videos. Melissa is also a great videographer. She is always on point and there if I need to see what Tom is doing (yet I have already commented that a blind or low vision person could follow your videos). Have you made a cheese soufflé?
One of my favorite things is cashew brittle with a taste of butter in it. An Amish style store near my home sells it for $5 dollars for a very small amount of it. I get it maybe once a year. I've tried to search out a recipe for it. I think that this might be it! Merry CHRISTmas, everyone!!!
Thanks so much for the encouragement. We really do appreciate it. We are already talking about ideas for expansion for next year! Have a very Merry Christmas!
It makes me a little sad, but tomorrow’s gonna be the last day. I have really enjoyed all of your recipes. You explain it so well, and they all look delicious. Thank you very much.❤
What an easy way to make brittle. I usually make it over the stove and didn’t know this recipe existed so thank you very much for sharing. I’ll definitely be using this!
My father liked Brittle and he loved sodas. But he only drank a grape or orange soda once or twice a year. Other than that he never drank soda or ate candy once or twice a year. He knew they were bad for you and would mess up your teeth. He passed away in his late 70s and he still had his teeth as far as I know. And he chewed tobacco on top of that. Awesome video thumbs up. God bless you.
Well I’m 81 years old and if you was to put out a cook book I would be the first in-line as I have worked most of my life and had no time to cook big mealsexept on weekends. So it was always simple you have made it so simple and injoying. So a big THANK YOU. Your fowller marty
Thank you so much I had this recipe about 20 years ago and used to make it all the time. I prefer cashews as well. But then I lost the recipe and attempted to make it from memory and it turned out soft and chewy. but I like it crunchy. Thank you so much!
Oh yeah, Grandaddy always had some peanut brittle on the table by his chair along with his pipe 🕊️🌹. I never much cared for peanuts but I sure do like cashews... thanks for sharing this
I have an idea for another series. Since Home Economics has been dropped from the curriculum many young people don’t have many skills at fixing dinner- McDonalds or Wendy’s is their menu. Maybe u could come up with 5 or so ideas that r easy & go beyond Krafts Mac & Cheese. This has been so much fun to watch these 12 days of Christmas- u r an excellent teacher.
I just finished making my second batch because the first batch was eaten in no time flat ! This brittle is sooooo good, omg ! Nothing could be easier to make, 10 minutes later and you're done (clean up excluded). THANK YOU so much for this recipe ! Merry Christmas !
I use an 8 cup Pyrex measuring bowl with a handle to make this. It makes it so much easier to pour out when finished. I've made a similar recipe for the brittle for over 30 years. I enjoy watching your show very much!
Thank you for another nice recipe, this one seems very easy can't wait to make it and I am gonna try it with shaved coconut like what my mama used to buy, thanks 🖐️
Can't wait till my doctors appointment is over so I can try this recipe. I love peanut brittle but Cashew Brittle has to be a little better. Thanks for sharing with us Tom and Melissa. Stay safe and keep up the fantastic recipes. Fred.
We can all listen to you talk for another five minutes you make these videos so perfect we just love all of your stories and all of your recipes words cannot describe how great this is and we thank you
I LOVE this brittle! It is so easy, and incredibly yummy! I have made 4 batches of this so far! Some to give away...and some for us to enjoy! 😇 I had to adjust the cook times for our 1200 watt microwave oven. In case this would help others: 1st cook time: 3 min 45 seconds 2nd cook time: 1 min 10 seconds Sooooooo good! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us! ♥️
My mother used to make and sell this as a fund raiser for her church and made so much money they were able to buy a commercial dishwasher, a convection oven, silverware (she did not like the plastic they offered and wanted to change that whole situation). Her cashew brittle was sent all over the globe and people called it addictive. Her "bowl" was a four cup measuring cup. It was handy because it had a handle.
Thank y'all for all of these recipes, and for the easy instructions on how to make them. I'll be making several of them for friends and family. Merry Christmas!!
I just made this with peanuts and it is the most delicious brittle I have ever tasted! I couldn’t stop eating it. It’s such a simple recipe and so so good.

I don't stretch my brittle either. I also use 1 tablespoon of baking soda....more air bubbles makes for a very tender brittle. Easier to eat.
