Great video guys, I spent two weeks in the Highlands and on Skye back in July and we never had a problem with midges, there just were none about not anywhere. Love Scotland cheers guys.

I used to work at a Sea Life Centre and we had to know our fishy facts. Jelly fish have no brain, heart or bones. They just have a nervous system that makes them swim, feel temperature and eat. Loved the adventure update. The drive from Fort William to Skye is epic if you get chance to do it. It is stunning. Look forward to next week's video. Have fun xx

Hi ya awesome video, our Irukandji jelly fish are poisonous they can kill upto 26 adults. Not all is bad only a painful very painful sting 😂. Yeah was honestly so so good for the soul to find Tom there, we end up hanging out for like four days 😂 so next week's video is us all bumming about Scotland in the van, it was nice doing life together for a bit, just always feels so natural.

Do not climb Ben Nevis. Keely, you hate hills, you will loathe Nevis. We did it, 3.5 hours up, 3 hours coming down, despite our preparation doing walks and hills, it destroyed us. Did it on a Saturday, in work Monday...for almost 10 days every fibre of my body hurt like hell, coming down stairs?? Forget it. It will ruin your trip!!!! It was on my bucket list, I did it and got the T shirt, but never ever again!!!

We are going to do it on our way back down out of Scotland, but we have to do it, I need to prove to myself that I can. I think it's a good idea not to do it during trip so I can still move, but on the way out would be ok cuz then I can just not walk for a week haha
@@phillyandkeely yeah we did it on the way down after a 2 week holiday, I went to work on Monday, I'm a nurse, I'm very much a fitness freak, but it still killed me. My husband swore he would never ever climb anything again with me lololol, we got to the top and couldn't see a feckin thing due to the clouds .....and the other 300 feckin people up there!!! Coming down was not so bad on the lungs bute absolute feckin murder on the knees. When you get all these people saying ah it was amazing!!!! They are feckin liars!!!!

Midges... The first time I visited the West Coast was about 43 years ago. Back then, sparking up a cigarette or five would be reasonably successful at keeping them away. These days, the hat net things are cheaper...😁

Those Jelly fish ! When I was a kid, we were vacationing in Florida. We went to the beach and we saw a lifeguard urinating on a small boy’s leg. My sister and I were disgusted and my mom said : “see, that’s what happens when you are not careful, a jelly fish latches on you, burns and stings and the only way to take if off is like that” Now I know it was a lie and a way to keep my sister and I close to my parents so they don’t loose sight of us 😂. But I’m still very cautious when I walk on a beach where there could potentially be jelly fish 😅
Well as soon as you said you had a announcement I stopped the video . I was thinking of all the things it could be . Could it be a full time sponsor , new tires , new door to replace the leaky one , new channel called cooking/ forging with Philly , new van oh that’s a good one , OF channel and I settled on that one . Could of been called what’s really going on in the tent . Dang it all those guesses and I was still wrong .
Unfortunately the midgey season is July, August and September, just in time for the main tourist season. Theyre normally out in the morning and evenings on dull moist days. They dont like sun and a wee wind can keep them away but it can be a challenge sometimes and I always found Skye the worst place for midgeys.

Don't have a jellyfish fact but most beaches in Scotland have jellyfish washed up in the shore we went to one today where we couldn't go in the water because right along the shore line there was jellyfish just chilling 🙈 I thought this was just normal until my fiance said he's never seen them before 😂
Yes very not normal to us haha!! I seen people walking their dogs on the beach and was so shocked noone seemed worried about the hundreds of jellyfish around, so must be normal to you all haha

Do not climb Ben Nevis. Keely, you hate hills, you will loathe Nevis. We did it, 3.5 hours up, 3 hours coming down, despite our preparation doing walks and hills, it destroyed us. Did it on a Saturday, in work Monday...for almost 10 days every fibre of my body hurt like hell, coming down stairs?? Forget it.
It will ruin your trip!!!! It was on my bucket list, I did it and got the T shirt, but never ever again!!!

We are going to do it on our way back down out of Scotland, but we have to do it, I need to prove to myself that I can. @@phillyandkeely yeah we did it on the way down after a 2 week holiday, I went to work on Monday, I'm a nurse, I'm very much a fitness freak, but it still killed me. My husband swore he would never ever climb anything again with me lololol, we got to the top and couldn't see a feckin thing due to the clouds .....and the other 300 feckin people up there!!! Coming down was not so bad on the lungs bute absolute feckin murder on the knees. When you get all these people saying ah it was amazing!!!! They are feckin liars!!!!

Midges... The first time I visited the West Coast was about 43 years ago. Back then, sparking up a cigarette or five would be reasonably successful at keeping them away.
These days, the hat net things are cheaper...😁
😂😂 imagine we all just started smoking in the video to get midges away 😂 I discovered if you fly the drone low directly above your head the wind keeps them off you haha

Those Jelly fish ! When I was a kid, we were vacationing in Florida. We went to the beach and we saw a lifeguard urinating on a small boy’s leg. My sister and I were disgusted and my mom said : “see, that’s what happens when you are not careful, a jelly fish latches on you, burns and stings and the only way to take if off is like that”
Now I know it was a lie and a way to keep my sister and I close to my parents so they don’t loose sight of us 😂. But I’m still very cautious when I walk on a beach where there could potentially be jelly fish 😅

Thats a great idea, l would love a wee fire pit type thing.
Unfortunately the midgey season is July, August and September, just in time for the main tourist season. Theyre normally out in the morning and evenings on dull moist days. They dont like sun and a wee wind can keep them away but it can be a challenge sometimes and I always found Skye the worst place for midgeys.
In a weird way it's probably good they come in summer cuz if they didn't I reckon Scotland would be even busier cuz it's just so flipping beautiful
Lately, the wee buggers have been starting in May.

Don't have a jellyfish fact but most beaches in Scotland have jellyfish washed up in the shore we went to one today where we couldn't go in the water because right along the shore line there was jellyfish just chilling 🙈 I thought this was just normal until my fiance said he's never seen them before 😂
Yes very not normal to us haha!! I seen people walking their dogs on the beach and was so shocked noone seemed worried about the hundreds of jellyfish around, so must be normal to you all haha

Got my sixth West Highlands Terrier about 2 years ago and my wife named her Fiona Skye although I just wanted Skye. After watching you on the Road in Skye I have to admit it's certainly one of the most beautiful places in the world, even though Fiona Skye doesn't seem to care what I think.
