    Well done, you put some long stints in to achieve your goal. I really enjoyed your video, shame about the midges but that's the highlands. I know you guys live down in Lincolnshire, if you want another long distance walk without the midges what about the St Cuthberts Way, it's 100Km through the lovely border region, finishing on Holy Island. Easy for you to get to Berwick by train and either a bus out to Melrose or if the Covid has been sorted, I would happily pick you up and transport you to Melrose and collect you from Holy Island at the end of your adventure. Genuine offer to a lovely couple. Thanks for sharing and keep safe. D

      Hey Jamie! I wish I learnt how to use the new camera (Sony zv-1 )before setting out on our walk. There are too many micro shakes for my liking and that's not including the big ones. When are you looking to come back to Blighty?

    • @JamieEnglish
      @JamieEnglish 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GETtwoIT I didn't even notice any of the shakes to be honest, and I watched it on my desktop computer. We were looking at June/July next year. BUT with everything that's going on with COVID, we might have to just wait until the next year possibly. If it does go into 2022, then that'll give me ample time to gather equipment and test it out. • @GETtwoIT
      @GETtwoIT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The toilets were out of order at Invergarry lock but they had a portaloo. The compostable toilets we past were ok but one had a broken window and all were missing locks. We thought they were ok though!

  • @niks_healthy_lifestyle1691
    @niks_healthy_lifestyle1691 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just curious as to why it's £10 per person for the toilets? Can't 1 family / a couple share a key? Thanks for sharing. Myself, hubby & 2 youngest kids plant to do the WHW next Easter & will probably do the GGW in the summer holidays. We live in Cambridge so have a bit of a trek just to get up there.
    What app are you using to track you? Looks good x

    • @GETtwoIT
      @GETtwoIT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lock facilities range, some have just toilets but others have showers, laundry, kitchen etc. We passed majority of the locks within the first 3 days and unfortunately the facilities at Invergarry (where we camped) were out of order so we didn't really use the key all that much.
      The trail blazer sites only had the compostable toilets and they weren't locked (broken locks or nothing at all) so unless you think you are really going to make good use of the key then I probably wouldn't bother.

    • @niks_healthy_lifestyle1691
      @niks_healthy_lifestyle1691 3 ปีที่แล้ว
