I'm a student in your school and I love it! I got into natural medicine because of asthma and my bad reaction to pharmaceuticals. I live on Stinging Nettle and Andrographis to help dry me out. This approach has me off all medications and breathing freely. TY Dr. Jones for stepping out an giving us an education.
❤ just like it says in Psalm 104.....plants are for the service of man. Even Ecclesiasticus says "GOD created medicines from the earth, and a sensible person will not hesitate to use them."
My dad cured his asthma by taking astragalus root in capsule form. It is an all natural root and is good for your body in many ways but one thing it does is excite and activate your silia in your air way. It makes your coughs more productive. At first you might cough up some nasty stuff but that is normal especially if you are a smoker
A mild and early intervention that works for me is coffee, the real kind, not instant. It doesn't last long but sometimes settles it down before it gets serious 😊
Spent years of my life in hospital from asthma. Up until about a year and a half ago I would have the good and bad times of year and burning through inhaler 10-20 puffs a day, however at that point 1.5 years ago I started taking REISHI mushroom tincture foraged locally. Absolute game changer, 2 puffs before bed most days just because my night time breathing is messed up, and that’s it. All my life I struggled with asthma but no more thanks to Mother Nature and a random encounter fishing I am almost free from that curse I thought would have taken me by now at 48.
I use two preparations. The first is bromelain from pineapple, marshmallow (not the sugary confection, the plant) and mullein. The second is a tincture of osha and lomatium. I’ve had about a 90 percent improvement since I started using herbs. I was on a steroid inhaler before and sometimes had to use 6 or 7 times a day instead of the prescribed two. I think covid got me last November and it was downhill from there.
Covid (delta) in Nov of 2021 really messed up my asthma terribly! I had almost no asthma symptoms at all since I'd been on budesonide for 8 months by then. But c-19 destroyed that. I suffered with weight gain and worsening asthma for 2 1/2 years! In the past couple of months I began taking nattokinase which fixed my lack of self discipline (also due to covid) and began a keto diet (nearly zero carbs) which both improved my asthma. Now I want to get off all asthma meds and grow my own cures in the garden!
I use a mullen, lobelia, ephedra and coltsfoot mix that I make from my garden and honestly I smoke a small amount every night and has done amazing for my asthma ❤❤❤

I often use an inhaler during the winter months. I recently found out that this inhaler really increases my eye pressure and since I have glaucoma which means it's important to keep the eye pressure down or loose more vision, that's a really big drawback. Thanks for alternatives.
As always Dr. Jones great information. As an asthma sufferer since the age of 12, not telling how old I am now, LOL, I’m going to try this approach with herbs. I’d much rather use them than pharma.
Go Dr Jones! Since i took the course i have managed my respiratory problems and quit taking advil cold and sinus. Ephedra is my friend, im raising it up here in Canada, and Mullien and Elecampayne. Keep up the good work. You could add some skullcap or hops for the headaches😀

I plan to get mullein, but smartweed, which we have wild here, seems to work well for us as a preventative before we do anything intensive in the heat. Problem is that it doesn't seem to work unless it's fresh. So, I'm really hoping a mullein tincture will help in the winter and early spring. Thanks!!!

West Nile virus - Hi Doc, love your channel! Thank you for the fantastic info. I’d love to hear your thoughts on that. My elderly father is sick with it and I’m trying everything I know .
A warm hello from Northeast Washington! I have a lot of seasonal allergies as well as Urticaria, also known as sun allergy, plus Asthma. I really want to get off the anti-histamine OTC's and Albuterol Rx and be able to work outside without being worried about an asthma attack or breaking out in hives. Thanks to this video, I've learned I already have one of the herbs you mention on hand, Lobelia (tincture) that I've used to help with insomnia sometimes. I also picked a pint jar's worth of Mullein leaves last Spring, but am not sure of the best way to use it. Make a tincture or inhale it? You didn't mention how to take any of the herbs you name in this video. I'd really appreciate your advice about that. That said, you asked if anyone knew of any other herbs that help with these conditions. I do! Ginger. Yeah, I know. It needs a long growing season. Can't grow it this far north. But you can buy fresh ginger root at most any grocery store and there are YT videos about how to make it. I enjoy making candied ginger for a sweet and sassy treat as well as in cooking and baking, and I know it can also be made into a tincture. I've found chewing just 2 or 3 slices of candied ginger really helps open bronchial airways and fairly quickly, 10-15 mins. This relieves the tightness when it hasn't gone to an all out asthma attack or to prevent one when you have to go to the store and you can't get away from day after day of the smoke because it's fire season.
I've endured FREQUENT asthma attacks for 75 years! Question: If I were to make myself just ONE capsule filled with equal portions of the 6 or so herbs you mention about half way, could I keep a little bottle of them in my pocket and swallow one pill to cover a myriad of symptoms or would it do more damage than good?
