I tried mechanicals this year for the first time after having a bad experience with one years ago. I bought the hypodermic NC. I shot a doe a week and a half ago. She was dead in Less than 10 seconds. Large exit hole. I mean the shot was perfect in the "V" but it was still impressive. It doesn't always go like that but it's important to me to make that animal die as fast as possible. I respect whitetails after watching or chasing and hunting them for over 30 years now. They fascinate me. Needless to say unless I have a bad experience with one the hypodermic NC will be in my quiver for tge foreseeable future.

I shot a deer last year he only went 40 yards with the rage hypodermic NC I needed to get replacement blades. The ones i got are different from the original set that was in the package they look different and are a little heavier can you help me figure out which ones I need to get shooting out of a crossbow

If you click this link you'll see all the different Rage broadheads that are available (many of which are called Hypodermic). You have to make sure that whichever replacement blades you get match the original broadheads. To be honest I'm not sure that replacement blades are available for my broadheads. I'm not sure if that helps...

I kinged up the red shock collars wrong like you did the very first year the hypodermics were introduced. Shot two deer back to back with neither opening. Swore them off and tried them again the las5 two seasons lined up correctly. They still didn’t open on 2 deer, a fox, and a turkey. Shooting 400 fps. I can also shoot completely through a block target with neither blade deploy 99% of the time. I switched the red collars out to the blacks and they now deploy. Rage sent some no collars xbow broadheads to replace the red collar packs. I will check my zero in my block type target and if the blades deploy 12 out of 12 times I’ll hunt with them. If not they will get tossed.

Also I’ve tried many, many, types of cut on contact heads with them ALL bending over and braking off the tip when bone is hit. Imo extremely bad design. I’m sure it was intended for low poundage bows to get some penetration.

Sounds like you've had some serious issues. I never had the red collars so I can't speak to them. Rage's haven't ever given me problems. I would suggest giving your new ones a chance. Good luck and thanks for watching!

@@landrywilkinson1869 If you got 125 grains and that's the what that you normally shoot you should be fine. If you normally shoot 100 grains then I would re-site in your crossbow. Hope that helps.

Shot Rage for years but this year I had one deploy in flight. A Rage 2 blade 100g. At 35 yards I had over 12 inches of drift. Luckly the doe was quatering away and I hit her in the back leg cutting the femoral artery. She only went about 40 yards. It is my opinion that the one blade deployed as the string started its deployment foward. Just think if it was the buck of lifetime and this happened causing me to miss. I'd be sick to say the least. I've used many braodheads but the past decade I've went back forth between Rage and Ramcat. Both have done well for me up until this November. I personally won't be shooting Rage for the forseable future. I was shooting it with my Bowterch Assasin with GoldTip Warriors. My bow is shooting 290-300fps. Good luck in the field and Merry Christmas.

I killed 2 does with Hypo NC. One blade sheered on each when they hit the ribs on entry. Yes they died quickly. No I don’t trust them and won’t buy another pack.
