My Ten Point Titan M1 Crossbow Is Cocked But Won't Shoot!!!

After an unsuccessful morning of hunting I have trouble uncocking my crossbow. The process is unpleasant but eventually I get it fixed...with a little help from TH-cam.

Your string was still on the Dry fire inhibitor even after you re-cocked it the first time you need to continue cranking untill the string is all the way back in the slot on trigger housing. I'm no expert on Tenpoint as I can't afford one but I believe the trigger is an overlatch mechanism similar to the Excalibur trigger in principle but with the addition of a dry fire inhibitor and an automatic safety. That drop down bar at the front of the trigger housing is the dry fire inhibitor not the string latch. To become more familiar with how your trigger mechanism works you can use a piece of paracord or the shaft of a screwdriver to cock the latch and trip the auto safety and then select fire and pull the trigger to check for function without the stress of having a semi cocked crossbow to worry about.

It looks like from what I’m seeing that you didn’t pull your air all the way back. I’ve done that on my bow you’ve got to have the arrows knocked all the way back or still won’t fire when you finally did it fired. OK that’s what I believe and don’t, don’t try to draw your string back without without it on safe it’s a no, no I know from experience believe me

That happed to me and I had to hold the string back by hands and have my ole lady play with the trigger , I was a lil scared . I forget the model I have but it was their top of line back in 07 lol it’s still going strong tho I also don’t have the acuedraw contraption on mine as it’s just another thing to mess up or get in the way

Now that's dangerous, he needs to go to an archery shop so they can show him ho to cock the crossbow He didn't have it cocked back far enough. And it was hanging up on the. Anti dry fire mechanism

That is definitely what happened. I know how to use it...just made a mistake. It actually isn't dangerous, just annoying.
