Screens are looking good! The kerning seems off on a few of the glyphs in the font--would MPF give you a way to use a transparent GIF on the slides in some cases instead? That way you could position each of the glyphs (characters) by hand and squeeze them together when the kerning is off. A well-kerned font would fix the spacing issues. I used to have a font making program that could adjust kerning on fonts... Fontographer? Something like that. There was also an old, free utility called "Softy" that could fix kerning mistakes in a font. (It's basically like a list of exceptions where you can squeeze together particular characters like two consecutive I's). Can't wait for the next video!
I've lost a whole night generating images for a tattoo idea using Midjourney AI. Looks good so far, I need to play around with MPF in those days I'm not working on the hardware side.
The amount and range of different tasks you are working on and learning with this project is mind-boggling Steve ha ha. It's a miracle you get anything done, how does your head not overload and explode 😆
AI is pretty dang tough on the artist community, but it has its uses for anyone who isn't an artist or naturally gifted with any art mediums. What you came up with for the backglass looks pretty good and holds true to the theme, color cast and everything - which is important because it makes the whole package - the attract mode, the play itself, the music and so forth - a cohesive unit which will make the experience that much more incredible. Now if you can do it so that the song selection can be adjusted both in menus or by triggering a mode with a target - now THAT would be incredible.
Great use of AI! I postponed doing the display art for so long because I'm afraid I'm not that creative... But I'll copy your idea! Maybe I get some nice auto-generated backgrounds I can work on for the final design :)

In my Goonies machine, during attract mode, I have the movie's original trailer run periodically. Inserting video is pretty straightforward in MPF.
