No, not really. While it may not hurt the performance, I don't think it will help in any significant way. But you can consider it if you are worried about viruses.
LENOVO Vantage feels like LENOVO DISADVANTAGE. When you compare other services from competitors. Many have free where you scan and fix issues. But they let you know the issues are. I have an older Dell G5 5587 and it does scanning and fixing for free and tells me what it did. I get this Lenovo S7 and I'm like happy that it's smaller and a better travel option but man the software sucks.
I was curious about this. I have a legion 5 that I rarely use coming up on 1 year and this popped up. The laptop is practically new (since I rarely use it) and it "found issues"... 34 of them to be exact...
Pretty evident scam. Even my PC is showing 34 issues. How can every PC have same number of issues unless the issue finder is doing something sketchy. Didn't expected this from Lenovo.
Thank you for the warning. I was about to purchase the Lenovo System Performance software, but given your input, it sounds like a money grab. I won't bother getting it. Thank you. Great video.
Thank you very much for your easy, honest, review. I just about bought it, thought I should check first and found this video. You just saved me $50. Cheers!

Many thanks for your video. Wanted to buy, but now I won't. There's no point of buying when you can't see what was fixed and there's no actual improvement in performance.
I think we don't need any third party cleaning apps as such nowadays.😅 Just a basic cache cleanup every now and then would suffice. I'll make a video on this.
I purchased it for my own self, then decided to tell others about it through video.😅 I wouldn't be able to make videos if I don't purchase the product itself.

I'm not too familiar with that particular device, but you may want to take a look at your task manager and see what could be taking up a lot of resources. If it's the OS itself being bloated, perhaps installing a Linux OS into your machine as a dual boot configuration may be better. Linux distributions are much lighter and faster than Windows ones, especially for dated hardware 🙂👍🏽
I think it's part of the Lenovo Vantage Software. You could try to uninstall it, but I suggest you leave it be. Disable all the scanning and other features and just use Windows defender.

@@TheHopelessGeek I guess if I should renovate Mcafee or another antivirus, been using more than 2 years. Or Lenovo smart persomance is good enough to stay safe while web browsing?

I have just bought Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 also bought Lenovo smart performance subscription for 1 yeah because i had similar application on my old sony vaio laptop and it was good. My new laptop has 2 ssd slots and I bought new ssd and installed on it clear windows 11. After that Lenovo smart performance works fine for a one day two days on a new windows and then stops optimizing always on the one same step. and I don't know what to do, I had wrote this problem on the lenovo forum and still nothing.

Same thing happened with me. Is there any option to opt out from this. After taking smart performance software I have not used it because I find it useless software. How to opt out and get back money ??
MOST, and I do mean MOST, at least consumer-level security and performance "tools" and "suites" are just a bunch of useless garbage that actually takes up a lot of resources on your computer while claiming to free it up. Very bloated, always accessing the hard drive, making the CPU work pretty hard, and for basically nothing but to be just as vulnerable. And I repeat - the "speed" they offer is usually offset by how bloated and resource intensive a lot of these products are. I still remember the "Norton" suite... I remember purging it from my system for no other reason than to make the damn machine run about twice as fast (a decade ago, never used software like that since). Yes, there ARE good products out there like the host mentioned. But be very wary, and you won't find those in the computer boutique store, let's just say... Think "something that a small startup might use." Oh, and of course, the best solution is to actually understand performance and security yourself (it can absolutely be done DIY, not without risk), and then just using tools to streamline that process. Frankly, computers should never have bundled software to begin with. All the stuff you never want, but will slow down your computer like dropping anchor on a ship. Sorry but I think I had a lot of that bottled up waiting to erupt. Thanks for letting me vent, and thanks for the vid.

Boi the. Customer service people didn't even know what a smart performance was.
Is it possible that you do not notice any change in performance of your device because of the Lenovo Smart Performance that you purchased? Perhaps the software is improving your system, so the system is continuing to perform well. I'm tempted to purchase it for myself. Its only $30 (USD) for 1 year. I do agree that Lenovo should disclose exactly what was fixed.
Hm.. maybe. I doubt it. Many others have shared similar experience. But one person mentioned that it helped their old system a lot. So it may make a bigger difference on older laptops
Lenovo software became garbage. And I don't see any update of lenovo vantage software. The last patch was maybe too old. Maybe they stopped working in this software.
This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I always loved my Hp's, dunno why the f I switched. Brand new laptop and breaks down after 2 months. They say I have to send it to them for a month. Terrible customer service all around.
Moral of the story: if you really wanted to buy a Lenovo PC, avoid using Lenovo Smart Performance. Like, at all. It's pointless and a waste of money. At least all Lenovo PCs comes with Lenovo Vantage, which is free to use and there's no subscription.
Ok Lenovo Smart Performance looks like just a waste of time but what's about Lenovo Smart Lock please guyz/girlz?? Would like an honest review about this option also pleaseeee .-) Thank you very much by advance everyone's! ^_*

Lenovo loq loq 15 battery to 8 hours
You mean the Lenovo LOQ 15? I'm not familiar with that one.
Thanks!
And thank you for the support ☺️🙏🏽
Thanks!
🙂👍🏼you're welcome
Damn almost got that plan with my Legion go 😅
🙂I don't think it's required for new laptops
Thanks you brother
Happy to help 🙂
Thanks a lot.
No problem 🙂
Lenovo software became garbage. And I don't see any update of lenovo vantage software. The last patch was maybe too old. Maybe they stopped working in this software.
Yeah, this is just a cash grab at this point
This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I always loved my Hp's, dunno why the f I switched. Brand new laptop and breaks down after 2 months. They say I have to send it to them for a month. Terrible customer service all around.
It's definitely not the best 😅
Moral of the story: if you really wanted to buy a Lenovo PC, avoid using Lenovo Smart Performance. Like, at all. It's pointless and a waste of money.
At least all Lenovo PCs comes with Lenovo Vantage, which is free to use and there's no subscription.
Yeah, the vantage itself is kinda useful. It has battery conservation and monitoring features. The extra "optimisation" part is not worth it.
Thank you for saving for my money
🙂👍🏼 happy to help
Ok Lenovo Smart Performance looks like just a waste of time but what's about Lenovo Smart Lock please guyz/girlz?? Would like an honest review about this option also pleaseeee .-)
Thank you very much by advance everyone's! ^_*
I had never heard of Lenovo Smart Lock before this. 😅 They have so many supplementary apps!
I suspect it'll be a similar experience to this.
God man, you save my money.

Hi! I’m so grateful for your post! My sister recommended I get a particular Lenovo laptop for my 86 year old mom. She’s always purchased every extra warranty, bell, & whistle offered for every appliance and gadget I can ever remember her buying over the course of my lifetime.
Thank You for sharing your wisdom with the world! You’ve saved us a lot of money, grief and confusion.
I appreciate your expertise!!
Glad to hear that! 🙂
