- In this video, I try out one of the best Bloodmoon Ursaluna teams in the format! This team finished in the Top 16 of the Dortmund Regional Championships, and a different version of it finished 2nd at the Charlotte Regional Championships. It supports Bloodmoon Ursaluna with both Tailwind and Trick Room. In addition, you have some really powerful attackers like Clear Amulet Iron Hands, Ogerpon-Hearthflame with Stomping Tantrum, and more!

The brightside to no cam is I can safely watch the video with my wife without fear of losing her.
🤣 The cybertron curse, can't even do facecam anymore
As if aaron would want your nasty wife
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Something that stands out in your VGC vids is when you encounter a unique team or "surprise" tech on ladder, it's never met with confusion, frustration, or exasperation on your end, like I've noticed from some other creators. You always seem to be genuinely intrigued/fascinated/excited by the different things you run into, which conveys a genuine love for the game even this long after your VGC debut.
idk, just something I personally appreciate :)
The difference between a good idea and some bullshit is if it is me or my opponent doing it
@@GrayVMhanthe worst is when they clearly have a tera that isn't good but in a specific situation wich basically never happens and so you loose the game
I love when Aaron calls non-prankster taunt "manual taunt".
Gotta make sure you pop the clutch for this taunt
Aaron’s new haircut was so powerful it broke his camera
These longer vids are a true blessing. Loving it!!
“Hey guys!” hey Aaron! I’ve watched so many videos I can visually see him saying this in my head now lol.
Aaron I just got to Masterball for the first time thank you so much for teaching and inspiring me I used one of the teams you showcased to make it. You were one of the main reasons I got into competitive pokemon so thank you
Dang Aaron, 9 games and a 1.5h vid? That's some hardcore work. Thanks for that.
Where handsome guy?
COMING BACK NEXT VIDEO TRUST
WHY R U SHOUTING?
@@dr.yatusrii WHY NOT?
HE’S SO FAR AWAY FROM THE CAMERA HE HAS TO YELL FOR NOW

That vileplume game was wild as hell
I know it's matchup dependent but as a Gouging Fire player, Rock Ogerpon is EXTREMELY difficult to play against. Especially next to scarf Urshifu it's super difficult to deal with I'm surprised most people just use rock ogerpon as a hard TR support option when Rock Ivy Cudgel is soooo strong! Great timing on the video Aaron I love watching these when I sit down to eat!
Dropping that upload right before I start doing the dishes. Beast Coast provides.
QOTD: Minus the obvious gimmick Muk + Smeargle strats it’s probably Chien-Pao. Extremely quick, annoying to KO without Ursh-R because it always runs sash, and the whole “Everything in the field now takes 25% more damage” enabling strategies of spamming Espeed and sucker punch.
Why did they feel a Pokémon with 135 speed and sword of ruin needed a stab priority move is beyond me.
@@Endershock1678 to further sell farigiraf as the premium trick room user
@@Endershock1678 it's actually very logical to me. It means 'Suprise Attack'. What surprises more than something fucking speedie! Haga
@@Endershock1678 Not just one stab priority move, but TWO of them because of ice shard as well.
Loving the longer episodes! Great content as always Aaron! :)
QOTD: Lando I, while it’s not THAT difficult of a pokemon to get rid of, poison ground is such a good offensive typing and it deals so much damage even neutrally, that any sort of speed control and my entire team has to play to not get steamrolled by this monster.
WHERE IS THE SMILE THAT BRIGHTENS MY DAY
Love this team. Been trying to make a nice team with trickroom and tailwind options. I'm awful at the game, but teambuilding is fun anyway - love the video!
Love your vids! It's so cool to see how you go about decision making turn by turn.
Also QOTD: Ting Lu. Massive bulk, puts a lot of pokemon in range of being KO'd by ruination, sometimes runs fissure, which it can usually land if it stays on the field long enough. The biggest issue is trying to figure out if I should ignore it or target it. Doesn't help that my team is heavily special
QOTD: Archaludon in rain, this joint can snowball real quick when you don’t KO it fast enough. Not only does it gain defense boosts each time you hit it and can destroy you with body press but it also gains sp. atk boosts thanks to electro shot, which fires in just one turn under rain. Either way, it’s a pain in the butt when you’re not prepared😅
Just encountered one, I went follow me and dazzling gleam spam with ursaluna in the back
It’s a great day with another great vid. Fun team to watch too!
Love this team and how nick donnelly used this in Charlotte.. had hoped he won.. love his playstyle
Just sat down to eat dinner. Amazing timing again sir. Thank you
Wake up on a Monday to see this in my feed. Its going to be a good week!
Another banger as always! May have to give this team a go as well!
QOTD: definitely Amoongus or Smeargle. Nothing more tilting than getting spored lol
Can’t wait until next episode!!! First ever face reveal lmao
Game 3 was so much crazier than I expected it would be. Cool vileplume set!
Your videos never fail to brighten my day! Keep it up ❤️❤️❤️
Edit: added an exclamation point
Love the video Aaron keep up the good uploads
As for QOTD I hate flutter mane simple as that it's to the point where I plan to bring gengar back from it's very lackluster limelight and it is a good poison type to use even against bulky specs flutter gengar can still ohko with min/max alone
Great team and some crazy matches 😯
did not expect that vileplume lol!
I like the idea of investing +8 evs in speed at ogerpon to pass iron bundle full speed booster energy on tailwind (even though iron bundle is not common nowadays)
OMG 9 games! Thanks, Aaron!
QOTD: Definitely Farigiraf. It is so difficult, particularly on the closed teamsheet ladder to deny Farigiraf what it wants to do and respect every potential set in Team Preview.
Ok… this is just my second month playing online pokemon, my best clas last month was r7.
I tried this team starting at r3 and had a run of like 10 cons wins to get to r10!!!!
This was magical! Iron hands was the f mvp.
Thanks for this video, it was really easy to understand the logic and make the decisions every play
Update… reached master rank
Brand new to VGC, so I have a noob question. In game 6, why did the Incineroar Tera if he was just going to parting shot to switch out anyways?
This was so close to team I reached Master tier with! I'm so excited! The main difference was flutter over oger :)
QOTD: choice scarf water urshifu and raging bolt
@CybertronVGC I’m trying to make a sand veil/bright powder garchomp team. I have TTar for sand stream but I’m not sure what other Pokémon to add. What do you think would be a good set to add to. This team? Also any VGC team building tips would be appreciated.
I made a rental with my version of this team recently. A friend got 5th in a Nino tour a few days ago.
With snow picking up in popularity I’d love to see an Eiscue team! It feels like with its weird ability and belly drum it could have a niche
QOTD: TORNADUS just demands so much to answer it, I never have the right read on the item and it's really easy for one mistake to cost the game against it
I feel like Tornadus would be SO much easier in open teamsheet but never knowing if it is sash, covert cloak, rocky helmet, mental herb... sheesh it is a pain
Wow now I want to totally drop my ice meta team for this. Liek so few things counter farigiraf+iron hands lead. Almost perfecct.
I imagine the Vileplume probably had Effect Spore ability for physical attackers which can do three potential status effects on contact moves.
The rental code isn’t working for me it keeps giving me an error and crashes my game sometimes
That may have been Petal blizzard sap sipper farigaraf?🤔 I would've gone for sucker instead of 3rd protect.
I just started doing competitive battles again. How do you view rental teams ev spreads?
You can't view the exact values so you have to use either a Team Report or a Pokepaste to get the EVs. You can use Victory Road VGC for that
QOTD: Urshifu is getting really tiring lately with how many different items are being used on it right now. Especially with both forms being good at the moment, adding an extra layer to the guessing game at team preview.
I still can't believe they wont tell us the form in team preview. They show us the Ogerpon form, and in 3/4 that means we know its item too. Meanwhile Urshi can hit through protect and run any item it wants and still we gotta guess its typing which vastly alters its counters
QOTD: i hate going against archauladon. with stamina, unless i have something brought solely to counter it, it often wipes my team. seriously believes it needs a nerf.
QOTD: Heck, I'm struggling with all the big bruisers in this format. Incineroar, Ursaluna, Bloodmoon, Raging Bolt, they've given the teams I've tried out a little bit of grief due to bulk and big counterattacks (even Incin gets you now and again with a well-timed Flare Blitz). They're very manageable, but it's been a bit of a learning process.
QOTD: I have to go with the obvious....Urshifu (both) - if it either its ability or its signature moves it would be still a top pokemon but it has both. Personally of its left out of every game going forward or perma banned id be happier in life
Game 3 was amazing.. ita was a great comeback🎉
QOTD: Raging Bolt. The other day all it took was one calm mind and a bad lead on my part to make me a Raging Gamer lol. I just clicked the run button to save my sanity.
Rental code isnt working. Can you send another one?
I was wondering if you broke your camera or what. Considering starting a rumor that you were in an accident doing some obscure motor sport and had to wait for the injuries to heal
I have this weird feeling that the game 8 person had deliberately switched from Water to Dragon tera on their Amoonguss because of Water Tera getting read by Ogerpons and was probably feeling so please with themselves when it worked just as intended!!
Where is the cam??????
I'm a bit intrigued that the opposing Raging Bolt near the end of game 4 didn't try to target and knock out your Tornadus with an Electric-type move.
QOTD: Landorus Incarnate. Always underestimate its speed or ignore for too long and get stomped by it
QOTD: my least favourite Pokemon to run into in the format right now is kingambit. I love to play psyspam and kingambit blocks e force, is slow enough to survive under trick room, and has the offence to take sweep most of my teams
Ggs!
I miss the Daft Punk trainer helmet lol
Caught one right out the gate! Great timing to close out my evening. Comment to be edited upon finish! >:D!
EDIT: I felt like I really got a good grasp of the strengths and weaknesses... watching Blursaluna get boomed twice in a row will inform how I use this. If you find it, I hope you take a peek at that Vileplume team. That guy was tapped into the matrix.
Although I'll be happy to see the return of the facecam, I hope you don't feel any pressure to do so.
QOTD: Getting real tired of Torn held item mindgames. But that's nothing new...
Yea watching Nick Donnelly's version of this team against Wolfe in Charlotte was wild. Finally brought out the true potential of Bloodmoon it felt like
Edit: i can't believe people are answering the QOTD with anything other than Dondozo
There is something wrong with the rental code😊
I hate to fight against ursaluna but now I can use it
Days just aren't the same without you. Hope you're doing well
QOTD: metagross is my mortal enemy. it has so many tools and different sets that it's hard to read in best of 1. which i guess is what makes it a perfect anti-meta pokemon
QOTD: AV Grass Knot Vileplume after that crazy game
What are your thoughts on Tsareena rn?
The math ain’t mathing on how ursaluna outspeeds flutter
If there is little speed investment on flutter or none, ursaluna outspeeds it under talewind
@@benjaminwilliams9642yeah but full on speed Flutter Man hits 207. Ursaluna hits 206.
It bothered me to.. weird.
QOTD: I’m gonna have to say speed booster Gouging Fire, so bulky and with speed booster and burning bulwark it can be so disruptive with moves like breaking swipe and the constant fear of being burned
My least favorite pokemon, (or I guess core) to face against is the moody minimize muk teams. I know they are gimmicky team, but it is the team that makes me want to throw my controller. It could also mean that I am just bad at the game lol
Na man your not bad. Muk team simply sucks
QOTD Answer: Ursaluna-Bloodmoon/ Raging bolt
Where is my picture of Mr. Cybertron?!
Vileplume is one of those Pokémon thag ppl sleep on. It has pretty good bulk and a solid Sp. Atk stat, it just has low Speed like most bulky Pokémon have
Two bears high fiving
Why is suddenly farigiraf the goto trick room user? What happene to bronzong etc?
I don't like that this tailroom team has no specially bulky attackers with something like assault vest because you really want that in best of 3 games to pivot around and get the right speed control up at the right time. The team also doesn't look that good against psyspam honestly.
I didn't even notice the camera was off last video😂
Why not use sucker punch with Urshifu during game 3 when the opposing Giraffe used hyper voice say the end?
Because Farigiraf’s ability, Armor Tail, blocks priority attacks like Sucker Punch
And that's why I'm not a pro VGC player 😂
36:47 why didn’t you sucker punch when risking double/triple protect? Seems safer
Farigiraf ability prevents priority
@@lucasmontiel9 duh! Thanks
My least favorite mon to go against in our current format is definitely Archaludon. My team doesn't have a direct arch counter post Tera so arch + amoongus just iritates me so much.
0:37 did I hear that, right
Bro AV Calyrex Ice rider under Trick room is gonna make Both Ursaluna's NONEXISTENT 🥴
rn Wide Guard is everywhere in the practicing metagame. Also TR is hard to run in restricteds with Cal-Shadow everywhere.
@@_G50_ negative it still gets icicle crash. Well then everybody needs to start predicting the correct Tera for Trickroom setters
My least favorite Pokémon to play against is torkoal. You just auto lose to it without a dedicated counter, but having that slot dedicated just for torkoal just feels bad. Not enough people play it to justify using up a whole slot, but at the same time you need a hard answer for it otherwise it will steamroll your team
Qotd atm inceneroar is giving me problems with the team I’m using
Aaron exposing my gc team 😅
Why no sucker punch when you had farigiraf and urshifu vs ffarigiraf?
Because Farigiraf's ability, Armor Tail, blocks priority moves like Sucker Punch
@@CybertronVGC oh yeah lol. Sometimes forget how good armor tail is
Thanks for responding!
Perish trap teams
Were
Is
Will be
The least favourite/boring team to go against
no piplup filler for the cam :(
Can u build a team around the GOAT Scyther?
QoTD: chien-pao. If it didn't get sucker punch it wouldn't be such a pain
QOTD: Raging bolt for sure
Mine is Weezing. He isn't good so losing to him makes me rage
You’re a beast 🐕
WE WANT CAMERA BACK!!
This is a certified hood classic
Not only does vileplume not learn rage powder, it also does not learn spore 😂 just sleep powder
Still dondozo
Dozo is the literal worst
I don’t play Pokémon but my least favorite is azumarill I’ve always hated it since I’ve seen it on TV
