Missed 3 willo's in a row just yesterday... I just started laughing in rage like that scence where walter white is under the house looking for his money :'D
@@subzero212 its still crazy that to me that the best move most rock types have is stone edge. even with iron boulder and ogerpon geting 100% attacks they dont see any use
That will-o-wisp joke had layers to it. That my friend is gold. I also laughed harder than I should have. Another amazing video as always while breaking everything down very well.
Shoutout to Dragonite, being an irreplaceable Pokemon among all of the Legends and Paradox mons in the format. That said... I really wish the power creep of SV VGC wasn't so fast. So many cool pokemon didn't get a chance to shine in their debut generation. That sucks.
Entei looks like itll be unruly in this reg. Its a nice halfway point between h-arcanine and dragonite. Always cool seeing older gen mons being able to keep up with powercreep.
Iirc, it was the second most used Fire type in the last regional behind Incineroar. Who would’ve guessed having an ability that makes you good into the meta Fire type is really good.
The perfect start to a sick day, some Road to Ranked featuring amazing content creator Aaron ‘Cybertron’ Zheng! Thanks for always adding a smile to my face and an hour (or more) of enjoyment to my day!!
QOTD: So far, I've struggled to deal with Ogerpon Wellspring. The team I'm renting to start the season has a lot of Water Tera options, so Ogerpon-W has a pretty comfortable time coming in and putting pressure on my team with Horn Leech. It's probably a skill issue, though, because I often find myself in positions where I leave the Pokemon that can stand up to it on the bench. All part of the learning process!
Man this team was so good during that tourney run. I liked seeing Raging Bolt and Entei shine since they were "fresh" to the meta. QOTD: Archaludon can be so tough if you dont have the right special attacker or a big enough hitter to get it gone in 2 hits before its boosts stack up
I love these really long videos with teams Aaron. It just provides a more in depth analysis of the team and thus enjoyable content for myself. In just 3 games it’s truly hard to grasp how to adequately pilot a team against multiple opponents and/or teams.
Thanks for the showcase! Not used to piloting Chien-pao cores so it's nice to see this showcase and glad you went over the weaknesses since I also find myself struggling with Trick Room teams and opposing speed control teams. Still a great team to watch out for and learn. QOTD: Off-meta teams, often Hard Trick Room, has been tough to fight especially with a bulky Farigiraf and Ursaluna-Bloodmoon. Dondozo-Tatsugiri cores can also be a struggle when my team doesn't have a particular answer to it.
I used to play this Entei on last generation, can counter easly Incineroar and is a THKO on Zacian, solid vs Special Attack and can fight Amongous... The perfect Pokemon.
Entei winning a regionals in VGC was not on my 2024 bingo card. Needless to say its about time Entei got some spotlight, it was always in the shadows of Raikou and Suicune.
57:40 Given how much damage Registeel did to Entei, it was at least 244+ Def AND got the highest roll with Body Press, +2 244+ Def Registeel Body Press vs. 68 HP / 20 Def Entei: 124-146 (62.3 - 73.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO. The calcs are the same as if it had 252+, still a 93.8% chance to OHKO with the crit into Raging Bolt
Sacred Fire being better Inferno... being a move that precedes Inferno. Sacred Fire: - 100 BP - 95 Acc - 50% chance of burning (scaled, it is something like 47.5%) Inferno: - 100 BP (same as Sacred Fire) - 50 Acc - Always burns (scaled, it is 50% - whenever it hits) In the end, you get more from the raw damage dealt the 45% of the unhit "Infernos" than the damage you uptick with the 2.5% advantage Inferno has over Sacred Fire on burning.
Awww I didn't make the cut, played against you the other day using this team. I was using weezing and managed to just squeak out the win. Was such a good game!
In that match you lost, I would’ve done Ice Spinner into Tatsugiri and Thunderclap into Dondozo, rather than Sucker Punch into it. Then in the next turn you could’ve done sucker punch tatsugiri to finish it off and Draco meteor into dragonite. That could’ve helped get the win for your team.
Everytime Aaron drops I get paired against multiple players using the team he most recently showcased 😅 good thing he does a breakdown of the teams movesets and held items
Really glad for Entei to be in a format where it can shine! So good! Saw the match of Alex Underhill and was really great! And for the QOTD: I think that Latias is not easy to get rid off. Maybe it's just my team, but the combination of a bulky mon that loweres your spatk while hitting hard is not to scoff at. Yes - you do have fluttermane but after a tailwind it's often to risky for it to face it face first. But there is a ton of strong Pokémon right now.
the deal with the fluttermanes is: 1) if you see a booster energy SP ATT one you at the very least speed tie but most likely outspeed 2) if is not booster and it is specs or focus sash they probably outspeed cause the normal specs flutter is always EVed to outspeed adamant Chien Pao, hence why you have jolly Pao to 1v1 opposing flutters with ice spinner plus sucker punch 3) if its booster speed it always outpaces you.
QOTD: My case is a bit weird, but Chi Yu. Not because I can never beat it, but because I feel it either gives me no problems at all, or I lose my entire team to one.
Hey Aaron! Was wondering if you could add a "pace" criteria, explaining how many turns you expect to finish a game (team dependent) and what are good signs to notice impatience. Thanks for getting me into vgc!
QotD: Trick room + psyspam is scaring me because too many people are using it at the top of the Best of 3 Ladder in pokemon showdown I feel like there will be more trick room in Charlotte especially if it top cut Portland
Flutter Mane is one of the toughest Pokemon to face. It hits hard and with a lot of EV investment in physical bulk it's surprisingly tough to take down.

For QOTD I will say with my experience and my team beat up Whismocott plus grass tera justified terrakion is on pretty tough team I went up against. My hard counter Serpierior and heart flame mask ogrepon were no match for it XD.
Sacred fire should be nerfed in my opinion. The accuracy or burn rate should be severely limited for balance. Game freak should have never gave entei sacred fire. Its disrespectful to Ho-Oh.
It actually goes by order of stats, not nature. If there's a tie between stats for Protosynthesis/Quark Drive, it goes from Atk, Def, SpA, SpD, then Spe to determine which stat gets boosted. Since SpA and Spe tie, and SpA is higher in order, Protosynthesis boosts the Flutter Mane's SpA.
i really disagree with Crash on Pao personally, we finally got a 100 acc physical ice move and we don't use it on the best offensive ice type in the game? Dang, I didn't make it in the video. GG sir I was the player with the stellar Terra'd feazandipiti. I also got lucky with that sludge bomb crit
Lmaooo not the Pokémon nicknamed after team games from The Finals 🤣 great video as usual though! Perfect for future vgc draft league prep 🫡

Flutter Mane is one of the toughest Pokemon to face. It hits hard and with a lot of EV investment in physical bulk it's surprisingly tough to take down.

I hope this settles once and for all the argument about whether the Legendary Beasts are canine or feline or whatever… cuz Entei got that DAWG in em 😤
Kingambit was the most difficult Pokemon for my team personally to face at Portland (I went 5-4 with a latias/kingambit team).
wow mr. underhill really named all the team members after teams from the finals
i used the iron crown psyspam team you showcased to get back to masters

Hy Aron I just started Scarlet and want to make a sand team with Ttar. Would you have any Recs for a core?
QOTD: Landorus-I has been super problematic for me, especially since I've been playing a lot of Raging Bolt
QOTD: Dondozo. I see it and I mentally surrender. Then I take it down... only to see the Sash Chien-Pao in the back. ._.
entei winning anything is insane
Damn, looks like I should keep working on my ribbon master entei then before this regulation ends lmao
Couldn't you have thunderclapped dozo and ice spinner Koed Tatsu in game 3? It's defense is worse than SpD and the chien aura should've got it.
I’ve been having trouble with kingambit more than anything. A kingambit with a good tera type can do so much damage to a team.
Aron is an inspiration; even after all the times he's been burned by will'o, hes still willing to fire it off
Sacred fire should be nerfed in my opinion. The accuracy or burn rate should be severely limited for balance. Game freak should have never gave entei sacred fire. Its disrespectful to Ho-Oh.
lol the nicknames of the pokémon are the team names from “The finals”
Hey I noticed that the flutter mane has equal SpA and SPE so does that mean it’s a random chance what boost it get from booster energy?
It then goes by which nature is boosting which stat. Modest boost SpA. Timid boosts speed
@@_YaYi Thank you so much 🙏
with the speed/sp attack tie on Flutter--is the booster energy random between the two?
No, it picks the first one in the following order: Atk, Def, SpA, SpD, and Spe (so in this case, it prioritizes SpA every time!)
Haha the finals reference in the nicknames
I'm curious about the interaction in 16:20 why didn't Whimsicott's special attack drop with snarl?
