I think you summed up nicely the assessment process I went through to buy my 2023 version of this car, which I got as a Heritage Edition (not the Limited) in Robin's Egg blue. It is well-engineered, gets all the positive comments you mentioned, does look good in the driveway from all angles, and after taxes, tags, and a kayak rack, came home for $36,513 cash. After 3750 miles, my combined mpg is 30.4--well better than EPA predicted. I might add that playing with the "Sport" G.O.A.T. mode is great fun!
I might add that I was looking for the darker blue (almost a royal blue) version of the Heritage Edition that I saw around town, but found it only in the Limited edition. I've found that this classic light blue/white combination (that dates back on sedans from Ford to at least 1957) has grown on me to the point that I'm VERY pleased with having chosen that.
Excellent review and recommendations. Like you say it's too bad it lacks a hybrid engine at this point, but I still like it a lot, especially the flip up rear window.
I do loved the color of this Ford Bronco Sport. There is one and the same color at my local Ford dealership near me. I do liked the blue plaid interior better. I still liked driving my 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I don’t want a bigger Ford Bronco. I think the sport one will be good as my next vehicle in the future.
@@jabbadahuttful Just ugly, PERIOD. Resale could be limited because that is a love it or leave it color, like Honda Aztec Orange. I also hate Black. Does that make me an eternal optimist? Or are you really seeking to defend your own personal suppressed sexual identity. Sure you want to continue?😁
Both engines should be at a minimum standard hybrid optioned. If you are going to dance with the big dog pavement warriors, RAV4 hybrid / RAV4 Prime and CRV Hybrid...Ford needs to step up imo.
@Kirk Kreifels: nice review. I would go for the Badlands trim in Eruption Green with the premium package. I would guess AWD hybrid coming since it will be available on Maverick for 2025 MY and is already in Escape on same platform.
Great review thank you. How would you rate the road noise? I could hear it in the audio but am curious how you perceived it while driving. I currently drive a 2015 RAV 4 and Toyotas are notoriously loud driving cars. I love the Robin's egg blue as well and if I buy I agree it is worth the up charge. If not that - Cactus.
I hate that color. But I like the red on my 24 bad lands. I find the road noise from the tires to be extremely loud. You can’t hold a conversation over the noise from the tires. Overall I do really like the Bad lands. My Bronco ran out of gas with 2 bars showing on the fuel gauge. And the sound you hear when hard on the throttle is fake engine sound supplied by Ford.
The "Heritage Limited" only. was 1966 made in three colors in 2023....peak blue, powder blue and yellowstone yellow.... Regular heritage with smaller 1.5 engine and less options is still made in 2024 in a variety of colors except for yellow and peak blue.. The white grill has bigger holes compared to the 2023 limited 2.0 version models.... that's the easiest way to tell the difference...
The fact that I can get a 2.0, engine, an XL maverick for about 25K speaks a lot about the markup on this crapshoot of a model. I have no idea who the bronco sport is for other than people who like to waste money.
I think is a nice looking vehicle but it’s way overpriced and too inefficient. It’s truly dying for a hybrid engine or something that will let it not set up a spot by the gas station on a semi-permanent basis.
The options justify the price imo. There are a shit-ton of lesser vehicles in the 45K price range that can't touch the amount of bells and whistles that this loaded LTD has....
I’m not a wheel/rim guy, but those rims look cheap, a throwback to those steel wheels that you use for a spare tire. Though they do look a bit thicker, but not my cup of tea

Wouldn't get caught dead in that baby blue 4 wheeler. Metallic Forest Green is my choice.
Insecure in your masculinity are you? Baby Blue is just a colour! Lol 😂

Agree with your comment that it should have a hybrid version! Seems like a no brainer. Doesn’t the Escape have an AWD hybrid?
Woah! I forgot it had mechanical AWD on standard hybrid. I was thinking of fwd phev
Great overall useful sub compact.... Peak blue (as opposed to this robin egg blue) would be my choice! Looks beach-ready!
I saw one exactly like that today 🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵 super cute ☺️

a lot of car for only $ 40k, thanks Ford 👍
My friends has a 2 year old model , was in the shop 3 1/2 months waiting for parts
Yikes
Awesome

This model should be called Ms Piggy. With the red lipstick the chubby body. All it’s missing is a horn that makes oink oink sounds

I thought Heritage was limited to 1965 vehicles for 2023 and would be replaced with the Free Wheeling Edition for 2024.

Oj style!
probably won't sell many, because dealers will add $10,000 market adjustment. going to use the $10,000 to keep my cars repaired and skip Ford!!

Needs a real tailgate! 😢

This one is. The base heritage is a good buy
45K for this lemon? Yikes! This isnt even worth 19k fully loaded

This won’t be a great quality car. Buy DATSUN.
