I have a Bronco Heritage version and one aspect I like, is the white top really helps to lower the temperature when the car is sitting in the sun for long times. The open glass feature is also a great throwback to a tine when every station wagon let you open the back window.
Nice review of the Bronco Sport. Will you review the regular Corolla Hatchback? It’s manufactured in the Tsutsumi factory in Japan. It would be interesting to see the quality of an ordinary Toyota car produced in Japan.
There’s a difference between initial manufacturing quality and long term reliability. I’ve owned a Honda and two Subarus and shopped the Acura RDX. After seeing numerous RDX on the lot, all of them had horrendous fit and finish issues. (My Honda Accord and Subarus also had fit and finish issues although minor compared to the RDX.) Because I could not find a RDX that had acceptable fit and finish I ended up buying the Ford Bronco Heritage Edition (with the more powerful engine). The fit and finish is superior to all the Japanese cars I’ve owned (two made in Japan, one made in Ohio). Now long term reliability I am concerned about for the Bronco but I’m willing to give Ford a chance.
The new Bronco Sport looks similar to the older Ford Escape. I do like the new style a bit better though. Wish it had a hybrid version. We ended up getting a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid instead, we do think the Toyota quality is better. Our 2009 Escape Hybrid was a great vehicle. 178K trouble free miles.
I have 2023. 13k miles. Water pump leaked. Replaced. Had modules replaced in Electric system. Stray voltage in engine. Wondering about any improvements in 2024.
Currently driving a rental one with about 60kkm. The steering wheel is out of center when driving straight, had coolant overheat message while driving on highway, brakes are making noise while backing up . . .
It depends what you’re using the car for. If you’re just going to work and back, the 1.5 is more than adequate. Although the 2.0 is a blast to drive… fuel cost will be higher with the 2.0. I think the 1.5 cloth seats are inherently more comfortable than the upgraded leather…
I tried to test drive one and it wouldn’t start… it was a brand new 2023 on the lot in 2024. I really liked the one that did start but I just can’t pull the trigger on it with the reliability issues and experiencing that.
Can't we get a retro designed, compact FWD SUV that competes with this from Toyota? They can even call it a Landcruiser/4Runner mini, just sell it for a more reasonable price than Ford.
Another great video. Don't feel you need to apologize for anything not being perfect. Wabi-sabi is beautiful, my friend. Try to make mistakes every day. :-)
I like reviews when there 5 to 7years old to see how they hold over time I buy all my cars when there 5 to 7 years old after most of depreciation is gone. 3 cylinder engine wow
Fords are similar to Harley Davidson motorcycles …. always have great paint and great chrome, but the owners need to be mechanics to keep them running.
I find it incredible how absolutely entry level cars that should cost 25k are sold to gullible, ignorant consumers for double that. Anyone that pays $50k for a Bronco Sport, regardless of trim, fully deserves the 40% first year depreciation that they get.
Yeah, your comment is pretty definitive. Have you noticed that you can hardly find any car under 40 grand? It’s got nothing to do with the bronco sport. Clearly you’ve never driven one, so to speak so confidently about why you think it’s overpriced is a little offputting. Everything is overpriced right now. It’s called inflation due to the country being run by an idiot…. Otherwise, the bronco sport is a very nice well built subcompact… it’s no more overpriced than any other car right now. They’re all overpriced…
Credentials as an auto engineer? Civil, architectural, design, etc. etc? Maybe a bit more on those things as it would help your viewers. You emphasize an engineer's perspective, but don't tell me your experience at all.
I like American and Canadian car makers, but over the decades, just so must disappointing the quality, the ideal interiors. The CEO of many American became ill-decisions before engineering/designing and after to finalizing the vehicle for market just failed stages for decades.
This video examines the Bronco uniquely--truly from a manufacturing engineer's point of view. Helpful!

A truly unique way to review cars ,this is now my favourite car channel.
This right here. He has become my favorite car channel.
David, I would like to see an affordable Land Cruiser FJ in the same colour scheme including the white wheels. 🤩
Good video, I liked the live streaming technique.

it’s nice to see you review this one i’ve been curious about the overall quality glad you covered ut
Great review. I think Ford should offer this vehicle with their hybrid.

Beautiful looking vehicle! Great review! Thank you.
Good job, won’t to see more reviews from you. Thanks

Wow, bad luck. My wife and I each have one at about 13k miles, no problems yet.
David your live streaming is great
Nice format. Safe travels. 15:22
I had a Bronco Sport. I loved that car, but it was too small for a family with children and dog to haul around. I traded it in for a Ranger Lariat.
great video !
Cosplaying Escape!

That can happen to any rental vehicle. Not sure what your point is tbh
@AutomotivePress: Would you recommend the Badlands trim? Has the 2.0L 4 cylinder EcoBoost and a much better AWD system.

It’s an excellent looking vehicle, I just wish it was made by Lexus 😊

Ford Bronco Sport: hecho en México 🇲🇽

Could it tow a small camper or trailer?
It has a 2000 lb towing capability.
I think the Bronco Sports can be cool little cars. What Subaru could be without the CVT.

You need to not skip grammar classes.
You are so biased for Toyotas & Lexus. Ford always has beautiful paint jobs.
I had a focus that had horrible Orange Peel
Fords are similar to Harley Davidson motorcycles …. always have great paint and great chrome, but the owners need to be mechanics to keep them running.
Full size spare tire

I suggest you shop around, Ford is hardly the only car company that's expensive 40k today anywhere is a steal, when you need a auto you need an auto
These cost 34k, where did you get the extra 16k?
All Ford's have thick paint. It surprises you because you're think Japanese cars are the best.

Man this actually looks good but the same problem keeps coming up with the Bronco...it's still à Ford
Yeah I had a tough time coming to terms with owning a ford. But I bought one.

CEOs do not design car interiors. That is silly.
Over priced since it is built in Mexico 🇲🇽 using less pay scale. Pass the savings on to the customers
Bro don’t apologize every single minute. Move along with this review and don’t repeat over and over. Get to the point.
