Definitely not because ESPN already made the narrative that Tottenham is a title contender. We didn't see anything special from the new signings of Tottenham, except offside by Richarlison and Chelsea lost their best player - Kante. Frank Leboeuf just began the discussion about the referee's mistakes and Dan interrupted him and finished the video.
These were the same guys that said Tottenham were gonna smash Chelsea. I don't hear any of them admitting that they underestimated Chelsea. Next time they'll put a bit of respect on Chelsea, because they are clearly still better than Tottenham.

I think that was just a language misunderstanding. I thought he meant he never said anything to Tuchel about the officiating in the lead up to the clashes during the match. Obviously, I could be very wrong, but that was what I thought he meant.

Chelsea 2 - 2 Anthony Taylor. This referee continually goes against Chelsea. Remember when Chelsea played the FA cup final against arsenal when xhaka steeped on kovacic's foot and then went down as if he was the victim. This ref then gave kovacic a red. When maguire suplexed azpi in the box and Taylor said no pen. Or when I believe maguire kicked out studs up on batshuayi's abdomen and Anthony Taylor said no foul and no red card.

Var, by the rules, can only be used for red-card offenses. They checked for red, it wasn't, That's that. I'm a spurs supporter, it should have been caught by the ref but it wasn't. That's the way the wind blew today.

2-2 isn’t much of a result with how dominant you were. Spurs and Arsenal almost caught you last season with both having a much worse time than you did. Spurs lost 25% of the season and Arsenal were playing 3/4 of a second string back 4 at several points. What is the point of VAR? Loved seeing the two sides get so passionate and put so much into the game but wow was the refereeing shocking. An absolute howler. What makes it so frustrating for Chelsea is that it happened twice on both goals. The first one I thought was a foul but I think it happens way too early in the build. But then on the same goal richarlison offsides in the way of mendy, you can see a clear delay in reaction even tho he was quite far out. Then the Romero hair pull was unacceptable. Right in front of the ref should’ve been sent off and at a minimum a foul. Why even have VAR?
If Chelscum defend properly they still win though so you can't complain about the poor decisions
