Chelsea with a proper striker will be insane. They are legit title contenders still, anyone that thinks different is nuts. Bear in mind, they never lost to us in open play for almost two years now. Have a better win record vs man city since tuchel took over, won the CL and actually played the best against all the sides that played RM last season. Doubt chelsea if you will, but last season they had major key injuries plus a LOT on in house drama that derailed their challenge, now people are forgetting what kind of juggernaut they are. Good performances from Cucurella and Koulibaly. Reece James is looking like he’s back to full fitness. RLC having a really good game at RWB. The line of sight thing.
The rule was made to stop players trying purposefully get in the way of keepers during freekicks and shots as a tactic. It wasn't made for players being on the edge of the box dodging a shot they had no idea was coming their way. It's like handball, it has to have been intentional.

Intention? That's a new one. The rule on obstruction gives little/no suggestion of intentions, unlike the handball rule. It refers to an opposing player's position relative to the ball and the result thereof.
It's simple: offside and in a G'keeper's line of sight, you're judged to be influencing play and thus any resulting action/event is overruled.
And opposing O'Hara, the rule does not care about the culprit's distance to goal. That's just Jamie's fan sentiment smearing his logic. The rule is made to decide a situation, not judge the Keeper's quality.
Simple. But of course, a fan can't be expected to criticize a decision that helped his team.

Chelsea have been robbed multiple times.
    1. Azpilicueta was ruled to foul a player against Southampton 117 seconds before Chelsea scored. GOAL WAS RULED OUT.

It was a 50/50, and on the replay you can clearly see that Bentancour got the ball first. If it was Chelsea you’d be singing a different tune. Both goals were fair, but Chelsea were way better on the day than Tottenham, so it probably feels like a loss. It happens in football. I remember a United Chelsea game where United had 18 shots on goal, and Chelsea only 1. United we’re all over them. Chelsea won that game 1-0. The result doesn’t always reflect the game, but it wasn’t bad refereeing calls that got Tottenham a draw.

They way we pressed everytime Spurs had the ball is exactly what other teams around the world should do and not just let their opponents do whatever they want. Im not saying teams should press just for fun but I think if more teams actually worked on it week in week out and put it into their games properly then more teams will do well. My only issue with Chelsea is sometimes we’re not consistent as a team and in order to challenge we have to play like this against the likes of Liverpool and City not just Spurs. The thing about the Bentancur "foul" - he does nick the ball and take the man but with the way refs are briefed now to let the game flow more and the fact the ball did deviate because of Bentancur's touch on the ball, the ref allowed it to continue. Don't forget the real reason that goal was conceded - Jorginho trying to be cute inside his own penalty area, losing the ball that Chelsea should have just cleared and then it gets passed around 2-3 Spurs players before Hojbjerg hits it. Chelsea had more than enough time to get the ball back between the "foul" on Havertz and the shot from Hojbjerg. In terms of offside on Richarlison, yeah he's offside, but you can also see Mendy *did* have an angle to the ball when it was struck and he knows which side it's going because it cuts behind his OWN PLAYER Koulibaly, glances off his heal and flies past Richarlison who is further along the line. Sure, keeper can claim he's unsighted and put off by Richarlison being offside and in the line of the shot but his own defender blocks the line just as much if not more than Richarlison and it's Koulibaly's heal-touch which sends it to the corner past Mendy. Cheers for coming to my TED talk.
Also Ally McCoist arguing about the fact Richarlison in Mendy's mind could get a touch on the ball and steer it the other way, meaning Mendy has to hesitate for a split second, is rubbish - Mendy would see Richarlison is offside and if the ball deflects off him or he touches it purposefully towards goal he would know it's gonna be given offside and ruled out instantly / upon VAR check. He *should* realise that as a top class keeper; Richarlison is in the line of obstruction but like Jamie says, the shot has come from 20+ yards away and Mendy has plenty of time and from the replays clearly gets a sight of the ball before the shot as he LITERALLY arches his back/neck to look around both Koulibaly and Richarlison to sight the shot. Sorry I just don't think from that far out you can really say he's unsighted and put off by Richarlison to the degree that it effects his ability to make the save.
