At least Mourinho got them to the finals. They should have let him finish the final before firing him. Hate Mourinho all you want but he finds a way to win.
They sacked Mourinho because if he would have won them a trophy it would be against what this club stands for. But on a serious note it was due to a bonus clause if he gets them to win a trophy and Levy thought it would be unwise to sack him afterwards give more money.

I hate to say it, but Stevie is right. More managers need to speak like this about players and challenge the players to prove them wrong. Now the public knows what Conte probably says about the players to their faces and now have to show the fans that he's wrong.

Just imagine what he’s trying to say behind closed doors. Nothing has worked clearly and it’s true, the press ALWAYS focuses on the manager. Conte’s future is a topic every single week but this result was the clearest sign that the players aren’t playing for the badge.
The players are only playing to their realistic potential and not anyone else's expectation. If people thought that spurs would challenge the top teams for the title then that is on them for being that naive and stupid. Its not like being the best team in epl is easy . From my observation i believe he is telling the club to sell the players that are not worth it and buy the right players which I believe the club is not willing and on the other hand he is upset with the players for their attitude and selfishness and not doing the job they are supposed to do whilst being paid handsomely.

No managers in history can influence a team in every way to win a game. If the team is not good enough, they're not good enough. You change the team. The core is the players, effort is a part of ability.
If you don't work hard, if you don't have good team work and effort, then that lowers your ability level.
Pochettino should not return. I felt he was badly treated at the end of his tenure. He went nearly two years without buying top quality players while Levy was more interested in the new stadium & still managed to do ok.

Conte just wants his severance packet and to be on his merry way. He knows the club isn't in a position to challenge at the top and the players he himself approved aren't good enough and not responding to his outdated methods. He knew exactly what he was getting into with Levy and Tottenham that's why he refused to join them in the first place before they upped his salary and gave him a stadium tour.

Spurs shouldn’t get managers like Mou and Conte who wants to win. Because Spurs as a club are here to compete, not to win. They are happy just being at top 4 somehow, that is their highest desired achievement of a season. They should look for managers like Poch, Potter and similar who are not concerned about trying to win something domestically or regionally and just happy to play their brand of football. Arsenal and United both went through their difficult rebuild phase and look what they have done/are doing, and look at what Spurs are doing. Arsenal isn’t trying to get a top 4 finish, they’re trying to win it. United are not sitting back happy with a top 4 finish, they are trying to compete for the domestic cups and Europa. What did Spurs do? Couldn’t score a single goal against Inter, possibly the weakest of the Italian teams in UCL right now. Conte is basically telling everyone what he really thinks about Spurs because he’s got nothing to lose. His contract is winding down and he isn’t returning. And he isn’t wrong about the bad culture of the club. Mourinho couldn’t change it. Conte couldn’t change it. Only Pocchettino was able to for a while, but that ran its course and then regressed to the mean. They need to bring in the right manager and back him over the long term to build a squad with the right mentality. And they need ownership that is willing to spend more.

Spurs made a load of signings including various big name internationals, added to a squad which already had the likes of Lloris, Kane and Son. Conte has had 2 years to instal the mentality he desires. Spurs have made little progress while playing quite negative football. That has to be mostly down to Conte.
