    After this past winter, I was a convert to Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray. It lasted 7 months through the winter with salt, brine, snow and ice with no maintenance or even washing. I found that by bypassing the instructions to spray directly on the panel and wipe in with a microfiber cloth and instead, applying the product directly to a small hand-applicator and gently "working it into the paint," in small areas, then buffing it off before it hazed gave me better, more even coverage, NO smearing or streaking and left a solid coating on the car. 24 hours later, I would apply a second coat to the car (as recommended by Turtle Wax) for maximum protection. This process led to the impressive durability through an Ohio (USA) winter.
    I have since switched to the TW Graphene Spray and applied it as I did with the Ceramic. I felt the Graphene product was easier to use and even with my method, which should use more product than the 'Spray on, buff of' method, I used less than 2 ounces to complete the 2 coats, which included paint, glass, headlights, tail lights and trim.
    Fast forward 48 hours, after the second coat had cured for 24, and I saw that the Graphene left a darker, richer, much more glossy and slick finish than the Ceramic on my black paint. I have been on vacation, so the car has had over 100 hours to cure in the garage, untouched. I look forward to seeing how well it holds up compared to the Ceramic.

    I use the Turtle Wax graphene spray as a touchup. But for the initial wax after buffing I use the TW graphene “to the max” from Turtle Wax. It has been absolutely wonderful. I have been waxing vehicles since the mid-1960s and this is the best thing that I have found. I put it on Using a 5 inch DA with a RUPES polishing pad and do about 3‘ x 3‘ area. I move to a different area and do a similar size and then to a third area and another similar size. And then I go back with a damp cloth (about 4 or 5 minutes later) and wipe off the haze and then follow it with a polishing towel. Then I go do another area and come back and catch the second area and so forth like that. I let it sit for 24 hours and repeat. The results are absolutely amazing and people look at 10 year old cars and say they look as good as new. I have to agree. As to the cost the bottle of the to the max turtle wax flex wax is about $28 and with that one bottle I can do two coats on three vehicles and a 28 foot RV and still have a little left. I think it’s an absolutely wonderful product And will continue to use it. FWIW I have been having great results using RUPES DA Course and Fine using their medium yellow wool pads. I don’t think TW’s graphene products are a gimmick or overpriced.

    Nice.....very nice, we have a fully PPF coated 812 on our books, which we applied at the start of last year, always a pleasure to do these cars....and as you say, once they are protected and you get to do them regular , it’s a breeze.👍🇮🇲. I’m a Graphene convert, having tried pretty much every new “in thing” that’s arrived over the last few years.👍

      Would be nice to hear an advice from a “detail freak” like you. I wanted a paint correction with IGL ceramic with 5y durability, but some things happened in life and I want some cheaper option. I still need the paint correction and afterwards applying the protection myself - max 50€ per year, easy to apply and lasting at least 3 months and re-apply without another polish. Which product would you recommend? Something like Flex Wax or Ceramic spray coating from TW?

      @@epicautomotivedetailing - First of all, thank you for the very pleasant and informative uploads.
      My opinion about the CERAMIC spray is that it is not pleasant to use, it makes a lot of stains on Carbon Black BMW paint.
      On the other hand, I have been using the Sealant spray for months now and this one is a pleasure. Regardless of when it dries to a mirror-smooth surface.
      I have now ordered the 3 in 1 and the Max Wax is ready for use, I am curious about the results.
      I will not venture into the Flex Wax for the time being, possibly in the future.

    Love your video's, down to earth and they help so much for someone just starting out. I've tried many products for waxing ( experimenting ) on my wife's smart car ( small and easy to test out new products ) and I've found that different products work differently on the year/color and material your car is made of ( smart car is mainly plastic ) they all do a good job, but different circumstances call for different products as you so project across to all your viewers. I find that one wax is good on one car but not the next car ( different color ) Keep up the good work mate, and thanks for taking time out to make video's.

Lay down the Flex Wax first and begin maintaining bi weekly washes with the Artdeshine Nano Gloss Paint sealant or the Graphene detailer. It fits my application because I have a sport bike with a lot of surface geometry and what I use has to be easy. I liked their Ice spray wax years ago, especially how it so easily blackened plastic trim. Now I'm going to buy one of this new series, probably the spray-on Flex. I live in a condo and one of the rules for the garage is we can't wash our cars there so I'll have to rely on a drive-through car wash and I hope that will do because I'm eager to try this apparently revolutionary product and don't want to wait until I get to my winter house in Mexico where I have a proper driveway, so I'll buy the wax, go to the car wash and then rush straight back home to give it a go. Hi, found this channel last day and saw some of your videos. I have a question, for what I see basically you wash cars at home, or in the customer's driveway. How does black water legislation work and how is it regulated in England? For example, here where I live in Italy you could not wash your car at home even if it is private property unless a water purification system is installed. How does it work in England? Because according to Italian law a business system like yours without a specific place and that is done at home would not be possible in Italy.

    • @MrPomelo555

      But you can’t eat much better in Italy. 😄

    • @fredyph30
      @fredyph30 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry what 😳 You cannot wash your own car at your own home in Italy? That's news.
      What if you do and you are caught? What are the consequences?

    • @andreaa2448
      @andreaa2448 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fredyph30 Yes, in Italy, according to the traffic laws you cannot wash your car, both on a public road and on private property. Or better to say that you can but you must "Avoid that the water discharges end up on public land or that the waste water pollutes the environment" (citing the law). So in reality you could do it but with products that do not pollute, or equip your business or home with a purification system.
      As a consequence I imagine there may be a fine.
      However my comment was related to a possible business, I, like many other people, almost always wash the car at home and I've never been told anything. If the police see you, I think they turn a blind eye in these cases.
      The problem is when you open a company and earn from that. I imagine that in these cases you are subjected to frequent checks and you must somehow declare how the water is purified. The only thing that exists in Italy that I had heard of is a type of startup where the car is washed on the street but through a "dry cleaning" without using water, but I think it has nothing to do with detailing.

    Hi Dave, great to see another Epic Car Show video. Keep them coming. However, I’m getting confused by the number of products we have now. Correct me if I’m wrong but, it was 1. wash first, 2. clay bar, then 3. polish (to remove swirls, minor scratches etc), then 4. wash again to clear the polish, then add a 5. glaze (optional; which don’t work on white or silver cars), then a protection/shiny gloss product of your choice. 5a. Sealant = Synthetic wax (last 2-6 months) or 5b. Wax; paste or liquid (lasts 1-3 months). Now we have Ceramic wax = ceramic + wax combo (lasts??) or Ceramic: spray or coating (lasts 1-7 years), now Graphene; graphene + wax combo (lasts??) The way I see it, if you add a ceramic or graphene product you don’t clay bar it, as it will remove that nice new product. But why do Graphene or ceramic products need a top up if they are any good? And do you just wash your car with shampoo if you have ceramic spray or coating or graphene coat on top of your clear coat. I really want minimum effort, maximum results. I’m all for new products, fancy names, (sealants should be called synthetic waxes, as I put sealants around my bath to keep the water out) but sometimes too much choice/products causes more problems in deciding.

      Hate to say it but Graphene is on its way for many brands. Can't see it coming to end now. Ive even seen graphene shampoo. As for snake oil i think its 99% Dolphin tears lol. In all fairness its very good and it goes on better than the ceramic spray coating they made. Im chuffed with it but still its too soon to say if i love it. The wax on the other hand just made the car POP. I used Adams Strip Wash

    I’ve finally got a 2 coat ceramic process my clients love so i can’t see me moving to graphemes just yet. Another expense can’t be justified right now.

      In Detail. Would you explain your Ceramic coatig process to me? Do you wash the car, clay bar, strip down paint clean, polish, then ceramic coat? Whats your process and price?

      @@aquamayne8168 Hi Austin,. It really depends on what I find on the pre-wash walk around and first pressure rinse. I did a two week old Porsche Macan Turbo last week that only needed a light, but thorough polish with CarPro Essence as a gloss enhancer and primer after an initial wipe down with CarPro Eraser. This was as I was laying down 2 coats or CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 and would mean no IPA wipe down after polishing. The owner was amazed that I had it looking better than when t was in the showroom. I finished with a sacrificial coat of CarPro Reload with in the hour of laying down the second coat as per the instructions. If I was going to ceramic my own car right now, it would be very different. A heavy pre-strip wash with CarPro Lift or NV Snow+ both foam and contact and assess the water sheeting and beading. Apply CarPro Iron X or NV Purity and massage into paint with a compatible open weave clay towel. This carries out both steps of recontamination at the same time. Pressure rinse or maybe contact wash again or foam and contact wash again with NV Snow+ or similar. Assess. I will probably use a microfibre polishing pad on my Shine Mate cordless 3” and 5” polishers supported by similar on my SPTA Ibrid copy. This is the task where if you rush it you will need to start again. Take your time and using CarPro Essence or more probably Fixer, remove the remaining ceramic, swirls and scratches. Try to finish with Essence as it acts as a great primer for CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0. There are other chemical companies products you can use, but I have found my best go to is CarPro. I am experimenting at the moment with KochChemie as I have a supplier in Sydney here that is giving me amazing price/litre deals. I hope this males sense and helps. Lloyd

    I wondered where you had been. I thought you was in prison for hanging around street corners trying to sell little bags of graphene! Car looks good but to be honest, I'd say 99% of customers dont care if you've applied graphene or graphite as long as the car looks good when you've finished. I think the days of Barbara from the local cafe phoning for a graphene coating on her Nissan Micra are quite a way off yet.

      @@epicautomotivedetailing yeah, most people just want a clean car. Its normally only the classic car owners and prestige car owners that ask about specific products in my experience anyway. I'll tell you what I have recently invested in, a retractable hose reel for the pressure washer. Its so easy now just being able to pull out 20m of hose and put it back away in seconds without all the swearing and kinking and twisting, expensive though, 400 quid but a few friends that have them say it's the best thing they ever bought. Ideally I'd like one for the vac next then im not lifting anything out of the van other than chemical etc.
