What a great game! It definitely felt like a game where we as the observers could see all the opportunities to win but the players just didn’t know enough to know how close they were to winning. Thanks for the cast!
Very true. Motive particularly should have realized how many SCVs his storms had killed and likely resumed long-distance mining immediately after killing the bottom base from Terran. If he also would have just micro'd one shot at the Science Vessel, he would have been capable of killing even more probes with his HTs and therefore reduced Terran to essentially mining with like, 3 SCVs. He also just could have broken the attack on his last base fairly easily.
Artosis is the GOAT. That game was legit like top tier ASL level of entertainment, what a scrap! The outplays far outnumbered the missplays and we got a feast of a video game battle on this one folks we ate good.
I was about to skip to the end when there was ~80 supply for soso, and 170 for motive. Full screen off and... oh, there is second game! I am looking where to jump and I realized that it is still the same game! Amazing!

I haven't finished to watch the video and I feel like commenting I usually favor 1 player over the other (usually protoss) But both player are playing so accurately, the tension is just constant. Quite honestly this might be one of the best games ever cast on your channel, especially given the stakes where it's a tournament and not the introductory brackets. Huge back and forths, a mind games played as well. Motive seemed to overestimate Soso's strength at times and Soso was just a master of rotating defense to deter attacks, even though if Motive had pressed he likely would have broken through a bit more (and at greater cost to himself) but at many times of the game he easily had the econ and production to replace his losses, whereas Soso didn't. Truly awesome game. You never know which way it was gonna go until the tail end.

Excellent game! Mistakes on both sides is kinda needed to have games this great. Motive threw it at 28 min when he did the first two recalls. 180 vs 130 supply, you sit on the nat, take the 6 and smash terran when he pushes you or tires to expand. The killing facts and depots has little value with this little mining. But ofc we have complete information and time ponder the in- and outs, while they're playing their asses off. Magnificent starcraft!

I know it comes up organically and is difficult to replicate but I enjoy when you exposite on things like the reaver dud on the scarab and the minutiae of drilling the SCVs away correctly. You could go further and show us how they manage the maintenance of patch vision to anticipate or do this?
In most games I root for the Terran players, so I was actually considering closing this VOD when I saw how badly the Terran player was doing. I kept watching even as I had the mouse cursor hovered over the "close tab" function, but was absolutely shocked at the results at the last second!
Wow, I thought for sure Protoss was going to win, then Terran, then Protoss....then Terran. Although it slowed down at the end, it was exciting! I would not have blamed the Terran for leaving when they lost the CC floating back to the main, but good golly am I glad Terran didn't gg early! And yes Arty, I watched till the end. I was tempted to skip forward at one point but I just kept watching...
Exactly they're for starting off players with a smaller choke point to defend with. A ton of maps have different "gate" mechanisms built out of doodad terrain that give players more control and options over how a map will play. The eggs are the most simple. Some gates require teching up to splash damage in order to completely destroy stacked buildings, some are minerals requiring workers to mine through, and some even can be toggled between which size troops can pass depending on which terrain piece is destroyed.

I see neutral zerg eggs near base entrances a lot in these maps. Are those to help players with walling off?
