I just ordered one and I’m so excited. I will have a lot of time to spend with my fish for awhile (due to human quarantine) so I want them to looks their best.
I have a fluval sky on my 75 and it's awesome to set it up for things like stormy weather simulating lightning through the app ...not to mention the self timers gradually increase brightness not freaking out my fish every day
After using the Fluval Marine for a while, have you found anything that was a negative about it and is there something new out on the market that you would recommend over this one? Thank you!
i love that aquasky goes to my phone, I have three other lights that come with the remote control that I can never locate so the fact that it’s on my phone is like irreplaceable
I'm a returning hobbyist. First tank in over a decade. I put a similar led light on my vivarium. The one thing the top fin light has that my vivarium light doesn't is that little skirt that touches the tank all the way around. This reduces glare, and makes it nicer to look through the glass hood I paid extra for. I just find it odd that we use lights we know we aren't supposed to look at, but tolerate their flash of glare every time we walk up to an otherwise artistic set up.
Thanks for the review, I'm considering a small one for a 25g SW tank, as well as possibly adding one to a 90g Mbuna tank, and either 2 or 3 to a 36x18 reef tank.... great review...
I'm in the market for a new light for my 72" 125g cichlid tank. I watched the video but wasn't sure what the difference was between the planted light and the marine light. I, too, wont have plants in my aquarium either. Also, if I want to cover the 72", would you get 2 36" lights?
Get my planted 3.0 tomorrow for my Blackwater 75 gal. Very excited to get it. Ordered it from Aquarium Co Op. Nice review John. By the way congrats on Denny winning the 500 i know your a fan 👍
Thanks for this video it was great, two things I noticed.. there are three preset colors like color burst, deep sea etc.. also, if I were you I’d find another rock to place on the machined flat piece towards the top left. It could look some more natural.
Theres also fluval aqua sky 2.0. Does it look better than fluval planted 3.0 or the marine one for mainly african cichlid , especially peacock ? Like makes their color pop out more
I have to say I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t choose a color cycle. It would be nice if you could adjust the time period or set a shorter time loop. I’d like to have the option to cycle thru the colors in maybe a 5 minute period but I don’t see any way to accomplish that with the app.
I have just ordered this light. It is advertised as expanding to 60”. My tank is exactly 60 3/8 wide. My question is..does it have any play at all and do you think it will fit. Also will it look ok if the legs just sits on top of the glass? Thanks
Curious if your still happy with your choice of using a reef light for cichlid tank. I am getting ready to purchase 3 AI prime lights for a 220g cichlid tank but not sure if I should go reef or freshwater version.
i would like to know before i purchase the Fluval Marine & sea Spectrum LED 59w length: 122-147 cm extendable if it will be good for my 5 foot 150cm reef aquarium im consider about the light will cover the entire aquarium with no dark spot in the corners of the aquarium and if he will support grow to the coral and the coralline algae i hope to have a respond soon thank you
im thinking of buying the fluval 3.0 freash 48 inch water for my 120g cichlid tank is the freashwater one full spectruim? is it going to be enough light for my 120g?
I really like your videos and find them most helpful. Your videos are very well organized and well thought out. Here is my question. I currently have a Fluval Sea Marine Spectrum LED light that I purchased 2 years ago when I got into this interest. I have the program loaded on my phone you were describing in this video. I am now adding a 75 gallon tank in addition to the 58 gallon Oceanic and am planning on purchasing the same unit but 48 inches, you have on your tank. Will loading this program for the new light to my phone interfere with the one I already have loaded? I will have 2 Flugal Spectrum lights on separate tanks. Im sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, my computer skills are rather limited.
I've heard and seen recent mixed reviews for the Fluval 3.0. I'm cycling a 125 gallon tank for Gaps and Peacocks, black painted background, sand substrate and some large rocks, natural, no Spongebob and sunken ship nonsense. I am in the market for an LED light. I was set on the Current USA Pro and then I looked at the Fluval 3.0. I like the Bluetooth control ability, but having a light that accentuates the colors of the fish and adequately luminates the tank is more important. I can't decide! Help! :)
Does this light make the fish look any different than the plant 3.0? I don’t have plants, but I thought maybe if I wanted them in the future I might go with the plant 3.0. However, if this makes my cichlids look better, than this is what I want.
My African Cichlids look brighter and more fired up with natural sunlight. Too bad that doesnt light much of the tank. Frustrating that a brighter LED seems to wash them out a bit. Maybe I need to work on the settings and spectrum more on the Fluval Aquasky I'm running on the 125.
This light’s automation is useless if you plan on having co2. The internal timer goes haywire if you have a power failure. Their websites states you should always have someone nearby with the app :S
@@alexl3383 I could do that, but I'd dread returning one through Amazon. If I bought them at a walk in store that would be different. I've heard alot of mixed reviews on the 3.0 so I'm not sure.
Here's the link to the Aquarium Co-Op site if you wanna pick up one up. bit.ly/2RZEFpJ
I have one on my 100 gallon reef and it’s working wonders.. corals growing like mad
I always use Fluval and Kessil for all my tanks. Great video John. Just like old times. 👍
OMGoodness those furry babies are adorable!! Thanks for the info!
I just ordered one and I’m so excited. I will have a lot of time to spend with my fish for awhile (due to human quarantine) so I want them to looks their best.
At the Fish Room retail store in Raleigh, NC we use these Fluval lights on our African cichlid tanks too!
Mike Vivirito I love that place 💯
Miss that place since moving to WNC.
I have a fluval sky on my 75 and it's awesome to set it up for things like stormy weather simulating lightning through the app ...not to mention the self timers gradually increase brightness not freaking out my fish every day
i love my fluval planted light also 3.0 lol its does an amazing job of lighting up my cichlids
hi, how about comparing this to the Fluval Aquasky 2.0?? would love to see and sure others would too.. *S
I wish had more spec info Par readings. I have 37 gal tank 22” deep
Sir I am from India and i learn a lot from you regarding cichlids thanks sir and mam
The colors look great and I like how slim they are. Pretty affordable too!
Where'd you get your fish artwork
You are helping me so much with setting up my African cichlid aquarium. Thanks!
After using the Fluval Marine for a while, have you found anything that was a negative about it and is there something new out on the market that you would recommend over this one? Thank you!
You wouldn't mind measuring the width of the light itself please, minus the adjustable pull out mounting arms?
i love that aquasky goes to my phone, I have three other lights that come with the remote control that I can never locate so the fact that it’s on my phone is like irreplaceable
Hi John.
Thank you for sharing.
Great review on the Fluval Lights.
The Aquarium looks great.
Gave the video a big thumbs up.
Kind regards
Luca
the video I was looking for, thank you.
Hello! I have a fluval evo 13.5 and fluval marine 3.0 light. What percentage of light and hours do you recommend for the settings?
Great video John I love the fluval stuff too 👍🏻

Is there any benefit or disadvantage to using the fluval marine over the fluval aquasky? I again have a mbuna tank.
Thanks
P.s love the video

So I like the marine colors better compared to the planted , my question is can I use the marine one on a freshwater planted tank?
Lol I was always wondering 🤔 bc on fluval site it's under saltwater.. I'm just going to go for it lol

What’s the best setting to use on a planted discus tank. 140 gallon tall. 29” tall
Nice comparison!

Light and tank look great! Thanks for the review.
Looks like a great light, I’ve been contemplating getting into saltwater for a while now, just need the room for 1 more tank!
Theres also fluval aqua sky 2.0. Does it look better than fluval planted 3.0 or the marine one for mainly african cichlid , especially peacock ? Like makes their color pop out more
Does it grow plants or do i need the plant one to grow them

Very nice review 💕👍
How would primarily yellow fish such as yellow labs look under this light?
Anyone have a light setup for the 3.0 for a 29 gallon mixed reef?? Colors n all ??
Would rhis work good for a 29 gallon salt water tank?

Great video. And ya definitely did a great job showing the light especially the difference between that & a regular light.
do you think the 59 watts 48 - 60 inches will bring enough light for my 5 foot aquarium thanks
Good review for sure love Fluval stuff 75 k subs good for you John well deserved

Love it John!
New firmware is out! It's awesome

Mmm kinda like the one that came with the tank lol the marine has tooo much blue for my taste but awesome I just ordered a current USA Serene kit
Youll love the current usa setup i have mine in my office and its amazing
Thanks can’t wait did you tape the background or glued it ? Had to jump in the marine depot discount lol
@@dalivigil3071 i taped mine
Looks great, John. I'd love to get my hands one one! Light me, bro!

How do I join the giveaway for the light on aquarium coop
www.aquariumcoop.com/pages/promotion
I was wondering about this ! Thanks for the info :)
Awesome review! Thank you
Does anyone know what the difference in the 3.0 and 2.0 is?
I wish my reef lights were only 200 bucks lol, kessil has a grip on my bank account 😑 nice review, definitely makes the cichlid tank look awesome!!
Thank you for the review, it really helped a lot 👍
Cute dogs man
Does it still simulate storms like the older version?
Thanks for a great video!

wish I could afford a nice light for my tank like this
Looks like a great light!
the reds and greens inhibit Algae growth Ai Fresh water primes would do a better job better company and light control
I think this is far to expensive for just an LED light for a 4 foot tank. But your tank looks beautiful and keep up the great work.👍
Aussbasstony but it’s worth it as it lasts for many years.. plus you get 3 year warranty
Skins fan! Knew I watched for a reason!
Does it give a gd shimmer affect
Please help me with my guppies anyone please because i have 8 guppies but in a 2.5 gallon tank so will they die?
reef brights also do a great job!!!!!
Don't forget, you also get a 3 year warranty and it's IP67 waterproof rated.
Best light to get is the current USA freshwater best light every has many color schemes and bright.
I own both I like the fluval way better
I have no clue which one to get. I have a single Red Oscar in a 75 gallon and have a cycling 125 for Haps and Peacocks. Decisions, decisions....hmmm
fhpd350. Get one of each. Lmao test out which one you like best and return the one you don’t like. And let us know which one you like better.
@@alexl3383 I could do that, but I'd dread returning one through Amazon. If I bought them at a walk in store that would be different. I've heard alot of mixed reviews on the 3.0 so I'm not sure.
fhpd350 I think it’s super easy to return things on amazon. They will process the return the day you drop the return off once the item is scanned in.
I have the nano plant fluval light
I've always thought a marine light would look good on an African Cichlid tank.
Petsmart has these for $118 now.
Awesome!
love the vid
Спасибо большое за обзор 👍
Nice
Buys the fluval sea light puts it on African chiclid tank
Those lights are cheap now..... bought the 36 inch one for 80$ at petsmart
save some money and go on ebay and get some aquaneats I got one 2 years ago and a larger one that looks like a aquaneat and no problems
There’s no give away on any light. It’s a come on.
www.aquariumcoop.com/pages/promotion check your facts before you say something stupid and make yourself look like an idiot.
A gift card is not a free light as stated by blogger.
that is a cheap light lol usually 300-600 for a 3 footer heh
