Lt. Gerard and Archie - what a great duo.
And did you recognize the actress playing Carla who shoots her cheating lover? Grace Lee Whitney. She played the miniskirted beautiful Yeoman Janice Rand who Captain Kirk had to always fight off temptation mixing business with pleasure.

O Connor was GREAT with ACCENTS
I've seen him on different shows
Playing a bad guy..with a Russian accent, etc..

"Actor Barry Morse, who stars in this episode, states in his autobiography that this was a possible pilot for a forthcoming science-fiction comedy series, which after being rejected was broadcast as an Outer Limits episode. A contemporary press review of the episode bears at least part of this story out, identifying "Controlled Experiment" as a pilot for a half-hour comedy series."

@@kendrickkelly2336 Yes, this Outer Limits episode ("Controlled Experiment") was a comedy. And, unlike the Twilight Zone's attempts at comedy, the episode was actually funny. Robert Fortier, who plays the "two-faced no-good two-timer" shot by Grace Lee Whitney, is quite amusing in it. He does slow-motion walking forwards and backwards in other scenes as the two Martians conduct various tests on him - quite a talented mime!
