Kathie Lee Gifford talks ‘miracle’ recovery after fall at home

- After fracturing her pelvis from a fall at her house last month, Kathie Lee Gifford is back home from the hospital and credits the prayers for her speedy recovery. “If people are out there looking for hope, waiting for their miracles, keep waiting,” she says.

I had a total hip replacement in December 2024. I am doing so much better. I had the pain for six years. Bone on bone. I am so glad to hear Kathie is doing so much better. I can say I know how much pain she was in. Its terrible pain. I dont wish it upon anyone!!!
I had hip replacement in October, 2022. I am completely pain free in my hip. The pain before was almost unbearable. Still remember the doctor telling me that when I woke up from surgery the pain would be gone and he was right. Of course I had pain from the surgery but that was different, and I knew that would eventually go away.

People...God is real...when I was a child, I had a large Ganglion Cyst on my wrist about the size of a golf ball! I was terrified of surgery. I prayed and the next morning it was gone...I know I sound crazy... It was GONE!!!!

I’ve had miracle healings before so I understand exactly what you are saying. I praise the Lord for that and I also pray that you will meet the love of your life soon! It’s funny that our lives paralleled each other when you and Frank were on all the tabloids. I stayed in my marriage and we finally divorced when I was about 55. I’m your age and alone so I wish I had been younger when he left me and the children. My children are the age as yours. I find it difficult starting over at this age..so say a prayer for me too!

Awesome testimony! I broke my wrist and had to have surgery. I’m finally on the mend now, but every now and then I felt sorry for myself. Nice to not feel so alone . I’m happy to hear her bone density has impassioned well!

My mother was 89 had a hip replacement did great seven months later had a knee replacement the doctor didn’t want to do it her knee because it was nothing left so they had to put stainless steel knee replacement she did great was a strong woman she passed away in 2017 😢❤

Recoveries may be just natural things, but it does not take away the fact that people pray for God to give healing and it happens. I guess you don't believe in miracles.

I had always enjoyed watching Kathie Lee with Regis and then Hoda, but this bible thumping version of herself has gotten to be a bit much. I have taken care of quite a few patients with fractured pelvis's in my 44 yrs as a critical care nurse and I can tell you they all hurt. My own mother fractured her pelvis in 3 places on two occasions and the pain was unbearable and took months to heal. Prayer's have nothing to do with it except make your mind feel better that someone cares about you. She makes a joke about having to sell more books to pay for her hair and makeup people. She has more Botox and filler in her face than some other personalities we see. Her neck, arms and legs tell the truth of her age. It's fine if she wants to use filler's and surgery, but if she tells us God is responsible for her now full and notoriously invisible upper lip, then that's the devil talking. LOL
