Brian ima keep saying this! Keep videos coming... so informational and great how you dont edit out you guys were debating on the battery location ideas.
I would love to have the chance to work with Brian on some of these swaps. I love working on my 508 whp EK coupe with a built LSVTEC turbo because everything is so simple and easy to get to. Plus I just think it would be cool to work with a Honda legend like Brian. He has done so much for the brand and has inspired many people to push the envelope and go for it. Thanks for everything that you've done for us true Honda enthusiasts!
Now these are types of conversations I love to hear when people are actually taking the time to build a car in a thoughtful way. 12:54 - 14:23 #attentiontodetail
Im not a huge Honda fan but i am a fan of Masters in their craft. You folks just make this process look so easy. I have owned my fair share of Honda's over the years and to see what you guys are doing to them now is just amazing. Big props to you guys and your skill. 👍
I just want to said great channel guys .the best. I love the content .i just want it to ask some questions if possible regarding to a k swap build im working on .i need some tips on wht to do with stock brake lines and the clucth system.thank u guys.
Love these videos hondas are my passion just wish i had the same knowledge you guys have but these vids help. Thanks and look forward to more uploads ✌
I like what you did to your EF in this k swap I happen to have a 91 EF that I was going to try a b swap in but I kinda gave up when I got to the wiring any suggestions of what I can do with this ? Appreciate any input thank you and please keep up the great work I used to do all this work with my son he would soak up the knowledge and tell me what to but unfortunately life has changed this for me since he passed away from his fight with cancer any affordable options would be appreciated thanks
The wiring is a little involved if you have a dual point injection car. Simple if you have an Si or HF with port injection. Either way you should convert to OBD1. Check out our video on project Backmarker. It is an EF we swap a B17A into.
hey guys I have a question. are any of these arts available for purchase through your online store? Im doing a k20a3 swap in my ef hatch and I seen the shifter plate you guys made and the fuel regulator bracket. is there a way I can purchase them? thank you.
surprised the kswap is still popular.even if you geta free engine n trans its still 3grand and alot of rigging.or keep the dseries make a turbo setup vitaras...400whp and no mish mashof diff parts from diff cars all for 180whp maybe ...
Why not leave the battery under the driver's headlight and run the power wire inside the fender well, into the can on the driver's side, then under the dash, terminating at the fuse box? This would avoid possible damage to the wire when removing and reinstalling the engine. You could also easily tuck the alternator and starter wires under the manifold on their way to the battery.
Hey guys its Deesman1 on my wifes account but I have a question I'm doing a k24a2 swap on my 90 ef hatchback, I will be using the tsx transmission with the efk4 swapmount kit. I have done alot of work on this engine and dont feel comfortable piecing oem axles together because I dont see them being strong enough. What stouter axle should I buy that fits the ef kswap using the tsx transmission?
Driveshaft Shop and Insane Shafts make up-rated axles for this swap. Hasport also makes axles but if you are drag racing I would go for something stronger.
Yes I understand that, but I guess my question is, are the splines at the diff the same on all kseries 6speed? Meaning I have seen no "tsx transmission" specific axles for an ef.
There is a fuel damper (also serves as a pressure regulator) at the end of the fuel rail on the k24. Maybe i'm missing something, or maybe the OEM k24a1 fuel pressure is too wonky to tune in oem form, but i don't think the AEM unit is needed. Can someone plz confirm if i'm crazy?
The dampener will not work as a pressure regulator. That's not its function. You have to have a regulator. On cars that come stock with a K-series engine, the FPR is in the fuel tank. On older Hondas, the FPR is on the engine.
If you go to our videos on the Budget EG build you can get an accurate picture of costs. It can be the same or a little more expensive. If you use a mount kit that needs the EG subframe and rack it can add $100-250 to the price we spent on the budget EG.

Any reason for using 5/16" hose on the 3/8" fittings? How come you did not use 3/8" hose? Will this extra stretch on the 5/16" hose cause any issues?
K all day!
No, D17?
This really is the HARNESS part of this swap for me. lol Any help is very much appreciated.
*Hardest haha jk nah I really need some help with wiring.
How much would u guys charge for a full job like this I would like for u guys to work on my crx
Do you need to cut the subframe with the swap headers? Where the rear mount bolt on?
Did you have to cut the sub-frame on the drivers side for transmission clearance?
Im super curious about the actual BUDGET of this "budget" build. whats this whole project costing the customer?
Are the battery brackets for sale?
Hey Brian I was wondering if you still planned on doing that write up for the sub harness yu made in the video
Yes and video.
I need this wiring diagram. Please
I HAVE A HONDA CRX 91... I WOULD LOVE TO PUTBA BETTER ENGINE. NOW HAS D16.. DO U WORK ON PEOPLE CAR?

We don't sell the fuel regulator bracket at the moment.

Of course, that's one way to go. A turbo D is a vastly different driving experience from a NA K series. It's all about what the goal of the car is.
You guys plan on selling this when complete?
The owner plans to enjoy it.

We could have, but it simplified the wiring to put it on this side.
How much does a swap like this cost for the client?
How much does the Engine cost(without labor)
Edit: (The tuned engine)
Is their a picture of the finished fuel setup?
What’s the fitting to attach the fuel line to the stock fuel rail?
How do I contact you guys? For questions or maybe if possible to ship and have you guys put in a similar swap like that for me.

@@brianadees8543 The splines are the same for the transmissions that fit all versions of the K20A, K20Z, K24A, and K24Z.
