    Interesting use of the resistance bands. I might have to try that.

    Its strange that this same morning I watched Simon and Eagle emphasize leading with the elbow and yesterday I watched 2 other "prominent" you tubers putting emphasis on the elbow and body working together, basically no lag on the back hand throws as lag gets the disc stuck behind the body. Watching the slo mo of different pros I DO really see that elbow out ahead for the first 1/2 to 2/3 of the swing. I suppose there's still different ways to teach ball golf and they're a good 100 years or so ahead. Regardless I've been playing now for 16 months and have steadily improved but I'm guessing its more to do with the hours of practicing and playing and seeing what works for me and specific body. Work on distance, then accuracy at that distance. Rinse and repeat. I've seen a lot his videos (LOVE the stairs/x step/hip rotation/balance) but saying the "truth" maybe for him but obviously not for a lot of others. Really appreciate everyone that produces these learning videos and sharing their insight and opinions. Great ideas to try out and see what if any work for the individual.

    This is a hard lesson to learn. It feels awkward to go from reaching across the body to actually bringing the shoulder around. Combining the proper reachout with a tighter brace/pivot is giving me some results. Still working on the loose arm.
    Thanks for your content. I started over the summer and wasn't really able to digest these videos until now. I'm sure I'll glean more from them in a few months.

    That's why I never say things like "pull the disc."
    It keys you to pull with your arm/back and muscle the disc vs swing with your body.

    Great content. I love that you are slow and deliberate through your videos. It really sets the tone for training sessions.
    What’s with the water trickling sounds though, geez! Lol

      Thanks! It's rain water going into the sump pump. Drives me crazy when the pump goes off in the middle of doing a video, it's so loud, so I try to start recording right after the pump goes off.

    The anterior oblique sling uses the adductor. Does that mean that the plant leg uses the adductor more than the abductor/glutes. Thanks for bringing up the anterior/posterior oblique slings I would never have learned so much about them otherwise!

      Not sure without sensors, might depend on the point of time during the throw on which is used more.

      @@seabas22 I'm wondering if keying in on the adductors for both legs helps with keeping the weight and pressure between the insteps and not leaking out? th-cam.com/video/ht35a5eGoUw/w-d-xo.html

      @@ajazsyed3263 Possibly. I've never really thought about my adductor on the lead leg. I definitely feel it on the trail leg after throwing a lot though.

    Great video! The helix, DNA metaphor resonates well. Using that red cloth to tie around your arm to feel the resistance is a similar concept to Brad from S&T dog leash video, but he demonstrates it more like a robotic motion.

    • @seabas22
      @seabas22  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      IMO it is the opposite of the Dog Leash Drill. Why would you want to pull or drag your trail shoulder with the lead arm?

      I actually find the running water super relaxing. I’ve watched all these videos so many times, the running water sound just signals my brain that it’s time to relax and nerd out with SW22 on some disc golf
