Great tips. I have an oval face shape with a somewhat square jaw, but not excessively so. I’m determined to keep my shoulder-length hair, most women by my age, have cut theirs very short. I wore mine waist-length as long as I could, but went shorter in my late 40s. I feel all wrong without hair to my shoulders, at least. I don’t believe we “have to cut short” as we age, I’m 63. Why should we if we don’t want to? ❤

We don't have to! Cutting our hair short once we reach a "certain age" is what North American women seem to do but in Europe, many women keep their hair long and style it very elegantly, which I find so much more feminine as we age!

If your hair still looks good, keep it long if you wish. I had hair down to my waist until I was 60. Then I went nearly bald on top suddenly from female pattern baldness. I got some of it back with medication, but I'll never be able to wear it long again.

I almost cut mine short because the heat here in Florida was killing me....felt like I had a rug on my neck. Then I realized it wasn't long enough to put up in a clip or pony tail. I let it grow into long layers and this summer has been so much better. The humidity here is brutal, I look better, and it behaves put up.

Thank you for the videos Chi, I would love to grow my hair longer I am 5’3” and my face shape is oval but my hair is so fine thin and limp that I am very limited on hairstyles. Most days I wear extensions because it’s easier than trying to style my hair to look full. I hate having short hair but I have never been able to grow my hair past my shoulders. I would love a video on hairstyles for fine & thin texture hair. Thank you for all your advice!!!

I'm in my late 60's It's all about cutting my hair shorter. I thought it would take less time to manage it. When I discussed it with my stylist, she said I'd be seeing her every other week and a half to trim it!! I'd rather come in every 6 weeks to get it colored and trimmed!!
I'm 4'11" so I wear a just below the shoulder "wolf cut"!! I could never tell what my face shape is. It's oval square, inverted triangle and pear 🤣
I think one can adjust this style's length and texture for different face shapes. I'm not the expert, you are❤. I just know what eventually looks good on me by the compliments I get.

Very difficult, it’s true’ to have curly hair and round face. Even with length, the sides tend to try and stick out. Good advice.

I disagree that pixie doesn't suit round faces! Just make sure the sides are very short so that it doesn't create volume but the top you can play with.

Could you explain what jewelry is best for certain face shapes please? Maybe hair styles (like pulled back, straight vs curly) as well I’d appreciate

Could you do a video for us women who have tiny frames and a small head and face? My head and face are a quarter, or more, smaller than the average woman’s so everything from necklaces to hats to collars is too big. I’m not actually that short, I’m 5’4”, but just have a very delicate frame, because both my parents did. My hips, shoulders, etc. are so narrow. I just don’t want to wear anything that makes me look even smaller. Costume, or the better, newer term - fashion jewelry, usually just looks absurd on me. Bracelets and anklets and trousers fall right off. I can easily have that look of a little girl in her Mom’s things, but I’m 63, so the effect nowadays can be that of a shriveled old doll! I’m also very short in the upper torso, so as for clothes, everything is too low-cut, the straps are too long, and the length of most “regular”, not tunic, tops can be mid-thigh length on me. (I learned from experience that only straight-cut straps dan be shortened, the curved-edge ones, like on knits, can’t. I like the clothes in your website, but can’t wear synthetics. Thanks🙂

I have a small head, too. Barely larger than a baby's. Hats are usually a lost cause because little girl sizes are too small and adult sizes are too big. If your bracelets are falling off, then they're too big and need to shortened. I sold jewelry for 20+ years. Youcan buy bracelets for very small wrists, but you probably won't find them in department stores. I've sold bracelets as small as 5", and they can be made any size. As far as looking like a doll, you might want to check out Japanese and Korean ladies. They are usually small and delicate in scale. I had a friend who had a terrible time finding clothes until she and her husband moved to Japan; she's a normal size, there.

I'm not quite sure if I have a heart or diamond face shape. I have a kind of sharp jawline. Could you recommend some hairstyles for me and if a butterfly cut (short, medium, long?) would look good on me.

This video is perfect timing! I JUST cut my hair and honestly, I want to cut it shorter lol.
I'm 5'1 (and 1/2) with a heart shaped face. For the longest, I kept my hair long and was afraid to cut it and then one day I wore a short wig and my whole life changed 😂. I even get more compliments. I cut it to a little below my collarbone (from my boobs).

My face is like a longer version similar to Reece Witherspoon. Blunt fringes don’t suit me as they emphasise the width of my lower face. Getting older, things are going south and I know a short haircut would be a disaster.

I was watching a course where the instructor had above-the-chin length hair, styled into a severe, but thick, oval shape. Then her glasses shape perfectly matched the oval shape of her hairstyle. It really looked awful on her and was even distracting, how could she have not noticed this? I’ve seen other courses of hers, she’s a first-rate professor, but really doesn’t know how to style herself at all. Her baggy, plain clothes and big, colorful jewelry are even worse, poor lady. She has a great figure, too, I would think, but her clothes completely obscure her shape. I get the impression that she might have been a nun originally, or a novice. She needs some Chi in her life❤
