I've been in the military for 9 years now n trust me everything is about looking BADASS... if we could put angry eyes on our HMMVS, believe me WE WILL !!!!
it’s not a disgrace to military design, people in the military used to paint sharks mouths on older planes. Would you say that’s cartoonish? I think both angry eyes and shark mouth paint jobs are pretty bad ass. 🤷🏽♂️
Literally no one in the military is going to bitch about the way the Humvee looks as long as it’s functional and gets our ass from A - B without getting killed.
My first ever mod was the gladiator grill and after over 2 years and every offroad mod imaginable, I took it off and fell in love with the original look and realized how silly it looked, but I won't bash other people for their different tastes.
Over the years that iconic grille has had a different number of slats, different heights, different numbers of lights, different shaped lights. Went from welded wire to solid, had the entire shape changed from "skull" to rectangle and the fenders have changed so much along the way that it changed the look of the grille with it. Military & original civilian Jeeps have had everything someone could think of strapped/bolted/welded/duct taped to them from factory. Hospital beds, rocket launchers, sinks, skis, tracks, AA guns, show plows, winches, rear PTOs that ran post hole diggers, tillers, saws etc. etc. Anyone complaining about purity/tradition is just too embarrassed to say "stop liking what I don't like."
Amen, make it yours no one has to like anything you do say or like. Stay true to your self leave the sheeple.. to their herders. And if your takin off parts to match original take off the tires wheels winches etc pure jeep is how the factory ships them.
I have light bars and no winch and no lockers. I utilize my jeep offroad in more flat tight wooded areas not crawling rocks. It's purposeful. Not put to use is subjective.
Who care what people think bro! Its your build, its your money and its your jeep!! People who criticize other people for what they have can read between the lines!
Why does everyone call it a build, you not really building anything are you? Just screwing some non functional stuff to something somebody else build, ed
Your Jeep looked better with the brow! I’ve never thought of this modification in this manner, but always smiled whenever I saw it on a Jeep in passing. I’ve always been a paint, tire and rims guy since my first VW in ‘85. I’ve owned VW Bugs, Harleys, and a ‘64 Impala; and now a Jeep Wrangler owner since early-2018. All of these vehicles are highly regarded as easily-modified vehicles to fit the owners’ tastes or preferences.
At age 53 I just bought my 7th Jeep. 2021 Willys Gladiator. I'm putting the Vader Grill on (AM Off-Road) I'll keep my gloss black factory one to change back to one day. If someone doesn't like it they can suck it. Most Jeep owners don't give two shits what other people think. I don't ever remember taking a pole of people's opinions for mods. This one will be setup to have the capability to do some swamp playing here in Florida but I assure you it will be on pavement 95% of the time. Hell the fact it even might piss someone off makes we want to do it even more.
I will never understand this, it is a fully customizable piece that doesn’t affect any specs other than aesthetics and as we all know to each his own. It’s only hated because it’s cool to hate on. A Jeep is literally the most customizable car there is no set setup so people can hold their opinions unless they want to use their money. Literally like saying no Jeep can be any other color than the original. You liked the mod until someone told you not to. Not because it damages the car but because they think it looks bad.
Light bars are helpful for just driving around at night. If u live in the country and got deer popping out everywhere… the light bar will help u more than the lockers.
The Wrangler is one of the few vehicles you can visibly modify. It's your money, your vehicle, I tell people if they don't like it, don't look at it. I'm in Australia and most people I see just love it. It's capable and a little cartoony but 99.9% of vehicles on the road here look a like so the Jeeps stand out here. It kind of feels like the real freedom in modern society.
Man, I’m not gonna lie! I just got my jeep about 2 weeks ago. I did what the newbies do…I got the halo lights, I got the angry eye grill, I tinted the windows down to limo tint. I’m in the works of getting that rhino looking front bumper. I got the Ironman backup light cover. I’m looking at all these vids to see what else I can do. It came with the off road aggressive tires. Honestly, will I take it off road no! But I like it! Idgaf how the jeep community judges me. I’m gonna make my jeep how I want it! I look up all these jeep mods on TH-cam and I constantly hear how people don’t like this or that….honestly F your opinion. I’m gonna drive in what I want to! I just want a cool looking jeep, and park like you jeep assholes do lol. One tire elevated on a curb.
To me Jeep modifications mean winches, big tires, locker’s, roof racks, cold air intake, the things that take you in to the wilderness and back, not plastic stick on parts for look’s.
I call my jeep a TOY and for many of us is just a toy for grown ups, I don't give a rats ass about its capabilities or if its "iconic" for me the angry eyes look way better than the old school grill, its just a preference and if people hate u for that so be it, do whatever u want with YOUR jeep
not sure i can really agree with you on this...i get what you are saying and understand the point. I go 4-wheeling, attend rallys and enter parades....with 100s of jeeps often. Never once have i heard anyone say anything about light bars, angry eyes or mod grilles. everybody runs what ya brung and you also run with the crowd that fits your style as well. That is what makes the jeep so personable. Most of the time it's always a work in progress, buy things as you can afford them and they are all unique.
The thing about the light bars and not having lockers is a lot of people think if it doesn’t have lockers and you have those lights then it’s pointless because it’s more difficult to get to places personally I spend most of my time at night on gravel roads though and just like to be able to have the best chance at seeing the deer before I hit it
You're right it is your Jeep do with it what you want but try not to pretend that you actually use your Jeep as an off-road vehicle. be proud of the fact that you own MALL jeep. Stand out in front of the mall and wave an American flag saying look at my beautiful MALL jeep.
Was excited to get my first Jeep back in April! However, I had no idea that the Jeep community was so worried about other peoples opinions about their ride. This will be the only vid I watch about this.
Just do whatever you want with your jeep. Watch other videos to get an idea of different mods but at the end of the day it’s you that has to buy it and you that get to decide how you want it to look. Who cares what others say.
The phrase " jeep purists " is a damn JOKE!!! I Have a jeep wrangler rubicon unlimited jl and it is 100000000% a pavement princess! I have 35" tires and 20" fuel rims with 12mm negative offset and the cobra matte black grill and it all looks BADASS!!! if you want to buy a jeep and keep it stock then more power to ya but I feel that modifying to your taste is an expression of you. Just my opinion! And the purists can stay pure which at the end of the day means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
I used to have a '93 Ram 150, 2 wheel drive, no lockers, no winch - I'd take that thing through places where my buddies with jeeps would lock the hubs, and go in 4lo. Did I get stuck? Occasionally. Did I get myself out - more often than not. Without a winch. A lot of these people forget how to drive and rely too much on other things, like 4x4 and lockers. I digress, however. The one thing I wish I had back then, was more light. The woods get dark in south florida. Real dark. Headlights alone aren't always the best option. Being able to see where you're going is better than being able to crawl up a cliff face if you can't see the path up the cliff.
I don't think it's that Jeepers get passed off. I think some build for function first. Others go for looks. My thought is that if you build it to be badass it will look badass by default.
You have A Jeep not a hum v. You may want to change the people you run with if your bothered by what others think of your Jeep. You keep mentioning the military and hum v. Probably why you being harassed. If you are true to yourself and real you would not have this problem. If your parts are stuck on with sticky tape that’s not a mod. And you will be made fun of.
Sad you moved it. I couldn't care less what anybody thinks of my jeep or what I do with any of my cars. People hate on my 4 door Nova but I don't care. I love it
On light bars before lockers and winches. Not everyone drives on trails that harsh that you need those things. I see many who do night rides on easy to moderate trails. So a light bar could be a legitimate purchase for an off-roader who doesn’t need the more serious stuff for what they plan to do.
To each their own style. Enough of this judgement bullshit in our community. I hate the gen bias too! Used to be back in the 70’s & 80’s that most Jeepsters smiled and waved at each other everywhere. Way too many snobs lately a come to this club. Hell I once saw a hot blonde in her pink JK complete with long eyelashes (on the Jeep). Whatever floats your boat.
I think it's the opposite for me like I have a custom front and rear bumpers, winch, a 10" and a 15" light bar my front bumper and I took off my flares and of course have my jeeps name on my hood no lift, no huge tires no extra shit that I don't need all in all I probably spent somewhere around 2k on my jeep so far if not less and I like the simple look. However the deep pocket jeep people look at me condescendingly when they pull up in their shiny maxed out lifted jeeps and see my muddy jeep in their vicinity. i don't judge their jeeps but I swear they judge mine and I actually trail the shit out my rig.
I agree 100%. the brow and the angry eyes are the least offensive of the angry grills. But yeah, to each his own. The original I feel is the best look for me.
I just got a jeep two months ago and i've seen a million jeeps with that and not one person said anything to them so I don't where everyone is saying not true maybe at that time 9 out of 10 jeeps have it that I see. so i'm just wondering where the people that say that. lol
What I want is quality engine & don't care who makes it. I would like a de-tune rock solid reliable V8 chevy. Could easily forged every thing blue print tight that has cylinder deactivate buttons. I can select, eco mode 4 cylinder only , hwy touring V6 & towing hauling V8 mode, w/ a forced air super charger for elevation. Also clutch for blower on or off, & a plug in hybrid drive upto 25-29mph max be for the engine kicks in. True jeepers will hate the fact not AMC pacer under he hood till they see 35mpg poss gas mileage & 250k no repaisr engine & trans. Every jeep ppl car sold no special care or dealer love. I am sure mopar hemi crowd won't approve but 11-14 mpg bill gone, they will get over it, all while on 37,38, or 40" tires & right gears to match. Running sports car 1/4 mile time, bc I/God don't really care if I know it is for greater safer shared good. If I can't get an engine made here truly sad, state america has fallen to.
If a nazi ppl car can get 30+mpg to 35mpg range factory new for 30 yrs then jeep can to in 2020 on. I know I hve to improve areo drag to get there not curvy budget Bettle light wt ppl car. We can do it that way or in full truth every car on road can get 50 mpg just putting cross or * on top of cylinder to clean u & improve combustion like Hemi does a little bit. That is why hemi so powerful slightly improve combustion not hidden tech. Toyota just allow slightly better air by way of valve angle & mpg jumped up. We won war yet evil enslaved whole planet. True clean combustion car run so efficient amost no heat or any wear. No wear no heat not Bettle air colled again ppl car. No just the opposite of 2nd anti christ car, but same idea. That goes to the iconic states u were ref to. Any aero improvements like curving around compartment air flow instead of over load open top bad roof rack bad as well. But the windshield will still fold down, & hate core crappy old jeepier will get ovr it. Good guys won should hve life & world that reflex & respects that terrible loss of life.
Any person who owns a jeep and makes disparaging comments about somebody's else's Jeep are not true Jeeple. We personalize our jeeps to suit us not anyone else. I have 3 jeeps, an 87 cj7, a 92 yj and a 2017 UK. Been driving a jeep all my life. True Jeeple do not judge.
i know i am late to this but the reason people get mad about the folks who build crazy expensive mall crawlers is because jeeps have become the "cool" vehicle to own thus making the prices higher because they are mor sought after. exm( i bought a 2" lift for my 97 tj years ago for about $250-$300 now i recently put a 2.5" lift in my wrangler and it ran me $1300 for crap springs and fox shocks.
My Jeep is a YJ with a six. My favorite mod is the big "brush guard" thing I mounted on the front bumper. I sincerely hope it will save my radiator if I meet Bambi at 50 mph on a dark road.
I like the way your jeep looks, besides you don't need rockers, to get out and have fun. Yes, I am that person that would put a cartoon face on a Hummer. I like looking other jeeps and getting ideas on what I would add to my jeep.
The looks of a vehicle is not sacred, taking artistic license fine. And yes, the OEM grill looks great. I personally like to spend money on functionality and reliability. Currently, I had to get a regular truck for my needs. Fond off road memories will have to suffice for now.
I've been 4wheeling for almost 50 years. If you want to spend your money on plastic mall crawler bling because you'll never get off pavement, fine and dandy. Just remember, if you do take all that plastic offroading and and rub up against a tree or rock, carry a trash bag with you and go get all that junk and take it home with you. Don't leave it laying on the trail for someone else to clean up. Pack it in, Pack it out. Enjoy and be safe.
@@fredpearson5204 So sad, you can't control some one's purchase for them. I don't like em, but their vehicle they can do what they want with it. I saw a jeep yesterday on the interstate that was lowered with rubberband tires. Ugly as shit, but it's his he can do with it what he wants.
I’m an old timer and while I certainly have my opinions, I think I can speak to the general thought process that makes “old school” Jeep guys crazy. A Jeep with more than 2 doors (JKU) I think was the start of it. I think guys my age and older see it as a “soccer mom” vehicle purchased by millennials who only want to look the part or “seem, rather than be” (there is a quippy Latin phrase that escapes me right now). These guys think that Jeep starting selling them out to make a buck. When I was coming up, when you saw another Jeep on the road you kind of knew you had a bit of kindred spirit in that other fella - and I think is the Genesis of the Jeep wave. Only certain kind of people were attracted to the Jeep. It fit a certain lifestyle. That little club has been blown up. Now with the gladiator, there is a sentiment that Chrysler will slap the Wrangler grille on anything if they think they can make a buck. My buddy drove a Comanche back in the late 80’s. Neat little truck - it was not trying to be a wrangler. Now that about 75% of Jeep’s sold are 4-doors, those old school guys feel like some part of their identity has been stolen. Sorry to get so deep on this! I read a lot of comments about “boomers” and the like and none of that does any good. The Jeep community should still be just that - and different strokes for different folks. Admittedly, I am a bit of purist. I do not like the 4-door one bit. I understand why both soccer mom’s and hard core wheelers want them. It’s just not my taste. So give the old guys a break. They’ve (we’ve) been told now for about a decade that every single problem known to man in the 21st Century is our fault. So we may be a little quick on the trigger about some things that in the grand scheme are really minor. Hopping off my soapbox now. I hope you all have a happy new year and here’s to a brighter 2021 for all of us!
Quebec City : My Gladiator Grill is dedicated for my winter set-up, and the happy face OEM for the summer. I'm an expert in " How to install a Jeep Wrangler Grill " !!! My neighbors and me prefer my Gladiator Grill but we prefer summer time...
If you haven’t already, look up what the Humvee is being cycled out by. My M-ATV has some very good looking “evil eyes” and keep in mind the humvee in its most top of the line state, are still dog shit and are always found in the mech bay just for driving on the pavement.
Until somebody else pays my Jeep payment, im going to what I want to my Jeep
These rubicon payments i have aren’t cheap so I highly agree LOL
Spot on. Isn't the whole point of owning one personalization?
the banks jeep
I paid mine in full hell with payments, they get rich off the interest they earn off of people whom just want to own the products they have.
Best response yet. Most of the haters just can’t afford major mods. I have $45k in mods. Haha
Do whatever you want with your jeep, be different.
It’s a Jeep thing
@@Jeep_Forces I hate that saying. It's an owner thing.

Exactly what i was thinking. They painted things way more extreme than eyebrows...on actual war machines in times of war.
The Jeep was literally given the name from a cartoon. Jeep was the cat/dog thing from the cartoon Popeye.
They go crazy in the comment section but not to your face.

You are alpha that is why, betas care what others think.
Although I don’t like it personally, I love to see people modify their Jeep the way they like it 💯
Bigger issue is most of the angry face grills restrict airflow to the radiator, the grill is a certain size for a reason.
@@deepbludreams yea , that’s a ridiculous comment that you can make about the winch, bullbar loop or any bumper lights

Send me the light brow I wouldn't mind it on my jeep! Haha
Shame Shame Shame
I bought a wrangler rubicon unlimited because I like the look of the vehicle.. I like to take doors off and roof down in warm weather..
Better to be pissed off than pissed on...it's more about the fun of modifying and making it yours. To each his own.
Nobody is looking down at you, they're fkn jealous
Your jeep do what makes you feel good!
Idgaf what anyone else says. I think your Jeep is badass.
Thank You bro🙏
Your Jeep is dope broz, I’m not sure if they make this... but get some square lights like an old YJ and blow those Jeep’s peoples minds!
I am on my 4th wrangler its a hobby buying one and modifying it then when they come out with a better one I upgrade and start over 😉..its a Jeep thing
It's your jeep, you do what you want to do to it.
I do I really need 700 horses for for shopping!
But the jk were never in the military... bro just rock it
Not trying to be a dick but I will modify any vehicle I want no matter who likes it..you know why cause its mine and I can..I like the grill..
AGAIN, HELL YEAH DUDE! It's your Jeep. It's there to have fun and make it look good to YOU!
I agree 100%. the brow and the angry eyes are the least offensive of the angry grills. But yeah, to each his own. The original I feel is the best look for me.
I just got a jeep two months ago and i've seen a million jeeps with that and not one person said anything to them so I don't where everyone is saying not true maybe at that time 9 out of 10 jeeps have it that I see. so i'm just wondering where the people that say that. lol
Honestly, I think the angry eyes grill looks better. stop being a sheep and do what makes you happy not what Instagram followers think.
Everyone loves led headlights until theres another person with them driving opposite of them, blinding them, then want to hate on them :P
YES! I would LOVE to see these mods on mil vehicle, now I have ideas for mischief 😂 Thank you!
Jeep is really nice cant wait to see future mods. I just started my JL and your right you can spend a ton of money on them.
Thanks brother
I actually dig the brow, not even joking. Who makes it?
Here you go amzn.to/2IHedRZ
bro he piss me off when he took it off i'm like wtf
Tom and Jerry.
The bolt on plastic ain’t my thing, but it’s your Jeep , so bolt away dude! The stock grill looks great on the Jeep, glad you took that thing off.
I gave a thumbs for you ripping that stupid thing off, good going!
I like the way your jeep looks, besides you don't need rockers, to get out and have fun. Yes, I am that person that would put a cartoon face on a Hummer. I like looking other jeeps and getting ideas on what I would add to my jeep.
the factory grill looks innocent and somewhat cute with big open eyes...
I LOVE THAT ANGRY "aggressif " EYES i will buy it just for that . all this mods want me to get one thats why i clic on this video
I really like the grille
Enjoy and be safe.
tighten up kid
i LOVE the angry grill, just bought my own
@@fredpearson5204 So sad, you can't control some one's purchase for them. I don't like em, but their vehicle they can do what they want with it. I saw a jeep yesterday on the interstate that was lowered with rubberband tires. Ugly as shit, but it's his he can do with it what he wants.
Your Jeep your choice shouldn’t give a damn what other people think!
Great post
Jeep on! O|||||||O
Quebec City : My Gladiator Grill is dedicated for my winter set-up, and the happy face OEM for the summer. I'm an expert in " How to install a Jeep Wrangler Grill " !!! My neighbors and me prefer my Gladiator Grill but we prefer summer time...
The angry brow grill looks good, someone doesn’t like it screw ‘em. The Jeep community is great in general but many of them are jerks, you do you.
I’m still a fan of the KC lites partner. I do like your Jeep though.
Your Jeep is badass I always wanted one.
If you haven’t already, look up what the Humvee is being cycled out by. My M-ATV has some very good looking “evil eyes” and keep in mind the humvee in its most top of the line state, are still dog shit and are always found in the mech bay just for driving on the pavement.
