I live in Croatia. It seems to me that way to often people in Croatia ask a ridiculous and unjustified amounts of money when they're selling stuff, camera gear especially.
Hmm, that's interesting your perception of hybrid. From my perspective as a reviewer - and recipient of many presentations! - the manufacturers genuinely mean hybrid to be equally suitable for both photo and video. In Fujifilm's World, it also means switching the shutter speed dial for a PASM dial and always having a fully articulated screen. This is why the X-S is a hybrid and the X-T is not. In fact the X-S20 really ought to be branded as an X-H20 but there's a lot of hate for the X-H series as it departs from Fujifilm's core audience of photo-oriented products. This and the fact the X-H1 was priced and pitched as a flagship DESPITE being one of the last to feature that generation of sensor is all why it's one of the more affordable recent models. Note how the subsequent X-H2 was the FIRST to receive the latest sensor, as you'd expect for a flagship, but even then its sales are well below their more popular X-T series. But one of the joys of the X-system is the sheer choice of bodies out there.
3,000$+ for what is essentially a single FinePix camera turned into a line of mirrorless cameras that only have APS-C… for that much money you’d might as well get a Nikon Z7 and get an actual full frame sensor.
@@edgarwalk5637 greedy sellers using the hype of his video as justification. I have seen videos by youtubers explaining they know that happens; what they don't say is that they need the likes and views so they continue.
@@gwenlop9512 Nikon is very professional, too professional in the sense of boring. Their colors straight of camera are boring, their lenses are boring. I'd only like a Nikon DF and their Nikkor 58mm f1.4.
The X-H1 was my daily driver since the year it came out. It is versatile. In the same weekend, I would shoot street events, a cross country meet, a marching band festival, and then a car show. I bought a used one as a backup. Anyway, thanks for driving up the prices of my favorite Fujifilm body ;-)
I love X-H1 shutter button - it's so buttery smooth I don't want go bo back to normal ones. However it is a bit bulky camera to carry around everyday or take on vacations. It also went like 1.5x in price since I've picked up my used one few years ago lol.
Since I already have the X-T2, I don’t see a reason to get the H1, but everything I’ve seen/read points to it being maybe Fuji’s most underrated camera. The X-T3 overshadowed it really quickly and I think to a lot of people it seemed suddenly dead in the water. Now that the X-H line has gone the PASM route with an articulating screen, this is probably the only way to get the X-T style controls with that deep grip and tilt screen.
The X-H1 is a tank: mine has been through subzero temperatures to shoot the Northern Lights, been pelted with snowstorms and downpours, and it has never let me down (AF aside). It's also easy to handle with thick gloves, which isn't true for any of the other Fuji lines. I think I'll never sell mine, even though I'm using an X-T5 now.
After owning an X-H1 for 5 years I completely agree that it is overlooked! The X-T3 came out with a new sensor only 6 months after which effectively made the X-H1 obsolete in a new product sense, but on the used market it is ideal for people who want to have a film-like experience while having the modern digital conveniences of sharing photos with a mobile app, charging battery by mini-USB, etc. The handling on the X-H1 is what I like the most, the grip is fantastic and balances well with big and small lenses; every time I hand it to someone they remark on how good the grip is! The autofocus and battery life are the 2 things that let me down with it, and hilariously enough I actually shoot manual focus on it most of the time to compensate for both of those things, but I like to shoot that way anyways where I am in full control. Overall I love mine and am collecting more glass for it instead of looking for a new body.
The XH-1 and Pentax's KP are two of the most underrated cameras that got a bad rap just for not having certain features. I have the KP and XH-1 and I love the images that come out of them. Don't care about video but if you want a quality stills camera, the XH-1 and KP are top notch (IMO).
Definitely the KP is underrated. ISO performance and dynamic range is really. I still hope Ricoh/Pentax would make another. Definitely my most used camera until I found a deal for the K3 MK 3
I love the KP so much! I especially love shooting the vibrant jpeg mode on it because I get results that look so much like Kodachrome it's scary. Can't say enough good stuff about it.
I got one for 500€. A joy to use. Does not feel heavy but solid and premium. I guess they put as much thought into mechanical shutter sound as Bentley in sound of door closing. I permanently assigned rear dial to exposure compensation, so that is fixed. Has one fault only: would not store white balance to custom recepies.
I own an X-H1 and the battery pack since it came out. It is my professional kit. Used it in Iceland, Norway without any problems. Big and heavy but reliable. My other APS-C camera is a digital Leica CL. The only downside is the battery 126S.
Nothing wrong with you. At least based upon this message. I share your joy about the XS10. It comes down to what you like. I value small & lightweight. That is the XS10. Not so for the XH1. This is a horse of a different color. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
I have an X-S10 as well and it's a joy to use because of it's small form factor and excellent image quality. Nah, you're just a person that has good taste in cameras.😉
Try shooting in white balanced auto, but going past that to the grid, move that little dot four points to the right and four points down. This will warm up shots, (of course) and you'll be surprised at how you won't want to reset it. I shoot Standard because I'm happy with jpegs, but if I shot in Velvia, the shadows would block up, and I couldn't recover them. I'll get any visual excitement in post. Usually Photoshop, as I worked in a custom lab for 15 years using it.
The combination of the X-H1 and old Konica lenses is pretty cool. I also adapted my Voigtlander 40mm F2 lens to it and that was an absolutely fantastic combination.
after hearing how much effort Fuji put into this camera since it was the debut camera of the XH line, i picked one up last year as my first ever Fuji camera. really glad i did. With the battery grip and the new 16-50mm f2.8-4.8 kit lens it’s really great.
This was an excellent video thinking of getting this just for my Takumar lenses. I’m a Sony shooter, but I suck at grading. This a gem and you have a new subscriber!
I sold this camera recently after having it for 2 years, it was fantastic, that generation of Fuji sensors are the most pleasing to my eye personally and the silent mechanical shutter was a joy. Just wasn't using the camera enough so decided to sell it.
I LOVE the X-H1. And I really don't understand why it's so cheap. For a moment, even the X-T2 (the camera it's basically based on) was more expensive ! I used an X-H1 for a little bit more than a year, which I paired with an X-T2 for event photography and some other gigs, like some airshows, sports events and of coulse my personal work. I sold it last december (and kept the X-T2) because it wasn't practical for me to keep Fujifilm as my main camera system : lenses were too expensive, and most of my lens catalogue was Nikon F (that I previously used with some DSLRs that I kept, like my old trusty D700). Using F-Mount glass on Fujifilm just wasn't practical : there is only one adapter that allows for autofocus and it's not reliable. I found myself in need of long lenses like a 100-400 or something of the sort, and I could simply NOT afford a lens in X mount with that much reach. So I sold the X-H1 and most of my Fuji lenses, kept the X-T2 + my 35mm f2 + my lens adapters and got myself a Nikon Z6 for about the same price I sold my X-H1 (sold it with the grip for 650€, bought my Z6 for under 700) But if I'm being honest, if I could have bought the long lenses I needed, or if adapted F-mount was practical to use on X mount, I would have NEVER sold that camera. It was pretty much perfect for my use case and my preferences as far as a camera goes : the screen design is basically my favourite implementation of an articulating screen, the EVF is exceptionally good, the grip of the camera is nice, it has dual slots, the best vertical add-on grip implementation I've seen in any camera, the ability to control the camera ENTIRELY with just the two control dials (ISO+aperture on the front dial, shutter speed on the back dial, press the front dial to cycle between ISO and aperture), and the ability to revert back to a retro approach in an instant is you ever want to slow down and use the top retro dials. It also has the best implementation of a top diaplay I've seen (aka completely customizable, with the ability to show different things depending if you're in video or photo mode), whisper quiet shutter that made electronic shutter feel obsolete, fast enough burst rate (11fps is no slouch), as well a really nice video camera, and really nice video features to go with it (front/back tally lights, F-Log, nice IBIS to name a few). By the way, if you can't really color grade but still want the flexibility of F-Log : Fujifilm makes a free LUT for X-Trans III cameras that had F-Log (so just X-T2 and X-H1), and it't really really good. I used it a lot for profesionnal video work and it always delivered even though I'm absolute garbage at color grading (I really only started including videos in my profesionnal camera use last year). You can convert the Log into BT.709 with the LUT, or use their "Eterna" LUT, which is what I use personally. It's as simple as double clickin on the thing in DaVinci, make basic adjustments thereafter. Works really well for noobs for sure. If you don't want to do that, the Eterna film sim is the one that will keep the most dynamic range. And then there is the sensor... there is a reason why I didn't sell my X-T2 as well... this is the best dang X-Trans sensor to date, and you can come fight me ! It has the nice tones of the X-Trans 1 without going in the cliché retro look of the X-trans II and the sterile colors of the X-Trans IV and V. And the autofocus performance is MORE than enough for pretty much anything if you use that camera like a DSLR (had no problems shooting sports and wildlife as long as I stayed within the phase detect points, used zone focusing and trained myself to track subjects better). This is by far the most uderrated Fujifilm camera, the cheapest one you can buy to get a Fuji with IBIS, and this might go down as the ONLY Fujifilm camera to ever have a comfortable grip AND the ability to use retro dials if you want to. I'm not disspointed I bought a Z6, this camera is in a whole other world by itself (and also super underrated if you want my opinion about it), but the X-H1 is clearly in my top 5 cameras ever made...and it's not 5th. Super happy that you could see the qualities of that camera that seems to be brushed off by many because it doesn't look retro enough.
I love going to Kenmore camera, they have good deals on used gear. Fuji is really having a moment these days. They are good cameras but people are paying too much for the older models. Before the recent hype I purchased a used Ex-1 for $200.
After this video is viewed by many and if Mr. Burling ever gets his hands on one, prices will rise. I've used an X-H1 for the past year as my main camera and it's great. One thing to add is its shutter release - the most sensitive button I've ever used. It took a few days to adjust to it but now I love it. I wanted an upgrade from older Fuji cameras I had been using and yes, while prices for other Fuji cameras have soared to ridiculous heights, an X-H1 in very good condition was available for just over $600. A time or two I have missed the exposure compensation dial, but the LCD screen is nice. And the viewfinder is big and bright, which is great for my 50-something vision. I am very pleased with the X-H1.
It's a lovely camera. I've had two of them; build quality is solid and the ibis really steps things up when you're using manual lenses. If you had to have one camera for life, this would be all you need. It's the whole package. As you said, it was their flagship camera and yup, it sure shows. I love the top lcd also! Nice find, enjoy 👍
Earlier this year I sold my X-M1 and got nearly all of my money back. BUT.... In the space of a few months the X-M1 has more than doubled in price. Madness.
I owned the X-H1 about 5 years ago. It was a fantastic camera but too big for me when it came to full days of street and travel photography. I purchased the X-Pro3 when it first came out as a replacement. That said, this camera is undervalued largely because of TH-cam and Fujifilm waiting too long to release an update to the camera. It took too long for the X-H2 to be released in the same way it’s taking too long for the X-Pro4 to be released. I bought the LUMIX S5II instead of the X-H2 because the S5II is a much better camera for hybrid work and it does both photos and videos equally well. I have a few friends with the X-H1 and they’re never selling it. They use it regularly and are content with the quality of work they get from it. So to your point, and excellent buy in 2024.
Thank you for this video. I recently purchased a XH1. I didn’t look for it. It sort of happened. Was on Craigslist and found the XH1 for sale. What interested me was one Fuji and a 2nd nonFuji lens packed with the body. The lens value almost equaled the price of the body. I purchased the battery grip from MPB and the total was the same as you paid. I’m warming up to this body slowly. I do street photography and value small size plus light weight. This body is large and heavy. Read that as chunky. IBIS. Good video features. The ergos. The solid grip. The tilt screen. As I’m a photographer that’s great. To be fair, because of the video functionality, the screen should have been a flip screen. The top plate LCD. Of course, the image quality. A lot to like. Much has been written about the timing of the XH1 release. All true. The XH1 was buggy when it was released. With the firmware updates this is a better performer now. The TikTok influencers have caused Fuji bodies to demand a premium. I hate that. Try accessing a X100V/VI in particular. Also the XE and XT bodies. You are right. One of the few Fuji bodies without a premium is the XH1. A minor complaint. The LCD top plate screen. It can’t be turned off. I once left the battery in the camera for several days and the battery was drained. Lesson learned. Take the battery out of this body when not in use. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Ah, yeah I've had that with the top plate and showing the battery life slowly drain lol. I don't find seeing the battery life up there helpful. I would rather it just shut off.
I have the same camera with the battery grip, it was a steal for what I paid for it at KEH. Takes great photos whenever I get the chance to get out to shoot landscapes. The built in Fujifilm Simulations are a plus whenever you want to create something more like film. I also have the X-T30 II which I take along with me.
I sold my XT2 and got a XH1 a few years back. My primary focus is wildlife and the grip + stabilization on the XH1 was a great improvement. Having a heavy lens feels great on this body. I also really enjoy the top information readout screen. This was years ago when the XH1 was cheap used so I actually gained a lot and spent very little imo.
Great video. I had an X-H1 as an upgrade from my first Fuji (X-E2S), and it was an absolute beast of a camera. I think I got mine for the same price you did from Precision in Austin after some guy sold 3 of them, and it was like new and with the grip as well. Great camera if you can get one, and a really nice example of their more DSLR-style offerings before they moved the H series to a PASM control scheme. I've moved to Pentax (K3iii and K10D), largely because of the viewfinder but also because of the rendering, but for those looking for a solid Fuji camera to get into it, this is about as good as you can get for a good price.
Got it in new 2019 from B&H including the red badge xf16-55f2.8, grip and 3 batteries for 1600$ (without the lens it was 999$). A great camera for a great price (all this happened because the X-T3 which came out few months after X-H1 release).
Owned this camera, it’s phenomenal value for money. Personally, I found it had way too many features that I just didn’t need. At the time of purchase, I was already transitioning to cameras with OVFs only and a simpler camera/shooter only experience, but hadn’t quite realised it. It’s basically an XT3 in a pro body.
Glad I bought it a little bit after seeing it in one of your videos, extremely underrated camera for what you’re getting! Thanks for doing a “review” on the XH1, perfect camera for me coming from the XT1
Oh boy I sure miss my xh1. My little plastic Vader. I only used it for stills. I traded in and up to a xs20. Xh1 was the flagship but xt3 come up on it's heels and did lots and a little more than xh1. Lovely camera though. So glad you made this video
Totally agree with this - I snagged an X-H2 back in covid for £400 GBP boxed, which was an insane deal given that it cost multiple times that amount when new just a year beforehand. I much prefer the grip to the X-T2 and the IBIS is brilliant. I also love that it retains the manual controls like the X-T line, which is sadly gone from the X-H2. On the display on the top, it uses a Memory in Pixel type display. Not e-ink as it uses tech closer to a more traditional LCD, but it has memory for each pixel (hence the name), allowing it to retain the image on the screen without needing to refresh, making it very low power. It's also transflective, making it super clear in bright sunlight, or able to be backlit. Very cool tech that is also used in other products such as fitness watches.
Love my X-H1, I just wish Fujifilm would forward some of the later X-T4 firmware updates to it as they are virtually identical inside. I also hope they bring the dials back to the X-H3. I hate menu diving on cameras with a passion. If wI wanted to do that, particularly with video I’d resort to using my phone and get some kind of lens adapter for it.
Would love to have a fuji body if their af is reliable , as im running back and forth sometimes on a gimbal and sometimes handheld. Its good enough for slow event work , but weddings and anything that needs rushing fails spectacularly. Which is funny because my benchmark for passable AF is the old sony a6400 , the xt5 i handled still fail that benchmark for 3x the price. Good colors are useless if the shots out of focus
I had an x-h1 and loved it. Big upgrade from the x-t1 although I have to say I loved my x-t1 also. Currently happy with my Canon R6 though. Autofocus and battery life were my 2 biggest gripes with the x-h1. A wonderful camera either way.
I brought the X-H1 hoping it would basically be a chunkier X-T2 w/ IBIS. It's definitely a good deal and I used the camera a bunch. But, I couldn't get over the mushy shutter. Not my thing & I ended up using my X-T2 a lot more. Sold off the X-H1. Thanks for all the IBIS!
These can still be had for around 500eur today which I think is criminally undervalued. An X-T20 costs about the same but doesn't have IBIS, weather sealing, an ISO dial, or the super high-resolution viewfinder the X-H1 has. I have an X-T30 which is a great camera but I'm seriously considering picking one of these up for video
If you're more photo oriented keep your eye on the XT3 as well. Mine was $699 but I was patient with the used market! Albeit, no stabilization, that's in the XT4!
I picked up the X-H1 when it first came out, and while I own the X-T3 I still use my X-H1 for majority of my work. I honestly have not felt the need to upgrade to the newer bodies over the years and have been eyeing the prices on X-H1s used to get a second body.
It has the same sensor as the xt 2, and that's a really good thing! I love this sensor, those colors are amazing. And fun fact, it actually has more dynamic range and high iso performance than the xt-5
Only flaw is the small battery but the colors are yummy! Still using the XH1 fro professional work at fashion and weddings! I can put my IG link if anyne intereted to see images taken from this camera!
My XH 1 is now 6 years old and while it still works I will keep it. I got it for half price at the time incl battery grip and three batteries! I luuuv it😆😁 and I use film simulation bracketing, across, velvia and provia
I bought the HX-1 the day it came out and the next day I was on assignment in Israel and the West Bank. Unfortunaly the autofocus failed and the camera froze every couple minuets. I was so disappointed of fuji that I had sold it the second I was back. Some years later I realized how well it works now thanks to some patches and firmware updates.
The X-H1 had the misfortune of being released at the same time as the Sony A7III, which was a comparably speced full frame camera for the same price. Fuji also released the X-T3 (with a new sensor, but no IBIS) at a lower price less than a year later. So it's own camera was competing with it. I got mine new for a steal and still have and use it. I liked it better than the X-T3.
Back in the day before this whole Fujifilm craze, caused by the X100V, the X-H1 was actually holding quite well on ebay - between $ 600 to 1000, probably course its built like a tank, in the times when you could buy most of all other Fuji X cameras between $150 to 400. However, since the last generation of Fuji cameras came out, and especially X-H2, the poor old X-H1 somehow fell from radar. I got my copy new, on fire sale, together with the vertical grip, batteries and cards for $999. And yes, had I had some extra money, I'd buy another one any day of the week... Subbed BTW 🙃
I'm waiting for this to be in my price range which is 500 including the battery grip. Right now my go to kits are a6500 for sports situation and fast moving subjects at 10fps with eye and face detect, and an A7R2 for image quality centric kit, but the A7R3 is now in the 1100 range and the A6600 is in $700 range. Not in a hurry though, and I still have my XT3m1 kit for vacations.
Had a used xpro 2 with somez nice lenses and jumped on the opportunity for a XH1 with power grip, extra stuff and viltrox 56 mm for 800€. Happy camper here.
X-H1 was my favorite Fujifilm. Mainly because of how you could program both control dials separate from whether or not the lens attached had an aperture dial or not. Then add up the rest of what is great about it. That said, Fujifilm are not my favorite cameras to use. It's like using a language that doesn't let you express how you are. But it's their best one, followed by the XE2 and XPRO1
I really enjoyed the Fujifilm XT2, I took a lot of great photos with it and bright it with me everywhere. Now I have a full frame mirrorless camera with huge lenses that stays at home 🤣 But regarding the used prices of the XH1, my hunch is that it's not a "hyped" camera. Doesn't look much like a film SLR unlike the other models and the video thing too but it only had minor differences over the XT2 in terms of video. While I don't shoot Fuji anymore, I have heard the XH2 are quite nice.
The XH-1 I love the idea of, I would totally get one If I had disposable income. I love how they had the controls vs the xh2 and how the x-trans 2 feels. I already have an X-E3 with one gen newer x-trans, I use a lot of manual glass so the small viewfinder and static back lcd is more difficult. I need something with better video capabilities and AF for filming myself first
Don't know if you know that this camera exists, but I recently found out that there is a Kodak Professional DCS 760M. The M stands for Monochrome. It was the first commercial monochrome DSLR ever released and is quite hard to find nowadays. May the eBay gods shine upon you and bless your day with a cheap listing for you to buy and for us to check out!
1:05 Now, this is what X-H2(s) should have been. With the dials and PASM interfaces, you keep, both camps happy. Had Fujifilm incorporated this design concept into the X-H2 I would be rockin’ that “Flagship” camera as we speak. Suffice it to say, upgrade the inner workings to what the XH-2 currently enjoys, just give me my Dials…In my opinion, the current Fujifilm X-H2 is the most “Un-Fujifilm, Fuji Camera” built, especially at the top tier. Perhaps the the XH-3 will be graced with this design. Assuming that Fujifilm does not shut down the XF brand as some are hinting in order to chase the bigger profits from the GFX and Video/Cinema lines.
I've seen the X-H1 go for little as $390 on the use market in Switzerland. So I'm contemplating if it even makes sense to sell mine or if I should just keep it.
I agree the X-H1 is best vslue but otherwise ridiculous prices for 2nd hand Fuji. I'm seeing X-E4 used prices body only double what i paid new with the 27mm lens. Are people really spending that?!!
So, I actually owned this camera for a bit over a year before Fujifilm became an overpriced hipster taxed brand. Its an incredible camera, but even without the grip, it was almost the same size as my Nikon Z6 that I got to replace it. For the money, especially today, this camera is a pass for me. Its too big and heavy to use casually like most of Fuji's cameras, and the video mode leaves a lot to be desired. F-Log on 8 bit is not a fun log format to color as it breaks down easily. I'd much rather advise to get a Panasonic S5 if you need both great photo and video and don't need to depend on autofocus for video, or a newer Sony crop body. Fujifilm has great colors but most of it can be replicated fairly easily with Lightroom. There's plenty of presets now that mimic Fuji's colors almost perfectly. The X-H1 is really interesting, and I think the X-H2 wasn't really the successor people wanted, and the X-H2s is just way overpriced for a hybrid camera. The S5II/X really makes you question the validity of the XH2S' price. Either way, I really feel like Fujifilm lost their way and now they stick to making cameras with short production life that have a ton of hype around them, like the X100V and X-E4, instead of scaling to meet demands of consumers. To me I feel like Fujifilm really wants to become a budget Leica esque hype brand and I don't really see why anyone should indulge in their new cameras. Really, anytime I run into a photographer using Fuji, its usually either their medium format line or older cameras like the X-T3.
I agree with your sentiment that Fuji has become a hyped up brand selling overpriced products. I bought an X-T30 almost 4 years ago and their lineup was really solid at the time; bar the lack of IBIS which was a bit of a disappointment. I'm in no need for a new camera but just decided to check the market and saw that all Fujifilm cameras are selling for way more than they shoulld. XE4's are selling for $1200-$1500 which is just ridiculous; that camera is so cut down and was questionable at $850 when it was released, so seeing them sell for that much really shocked me. Fuji's clientele are killing the company. Once the hype dies down they'll be left with a product line of mediocre cameras nobody wants, and they'll either have to adjust prices accordingly or make better products to survive.
Deals are out there regardless of which model you choose, you just gotta be on it. Just avoid the x100 line and you'll save yourself a lot of money on a camera that is just as good if not better than that line. That being said I still love my original x100.
I only do pictures and to me at this point in time nothing beats gfx50s/r for what they offer. Not hipster super light blaa blaa but what a nice picture quality. And when someone asks is that a cropper I say yes.😊
Thanks for sharing the interesting video. I saw you adapt the Nikonos lens and in fact I have a couple of them. Would you kindly share what made is the adapter and where I can buy it?
Even after upgrading, the XH1's still probably my favorite camera i've ever used, I shot sports on it for a while and besides it chewing through 5 batteries for a football game, it's a really solid all round camera for action, portraits, slapping vintage glass on it, automotive. It has the deep grip that blends the professional feel I was used to coming from Canon with the style and dials of Fujifilm. Got mine with a grip for a similar price and definitely got more than my money's worth even in 2022-23.
A mixture of photo and video, I ended up completely emptying 3 for sure, and was working on the last two around overtime. The XH2 is definitely a bit better on battery life even though I don't have a grip and can usually get one and a half (One full game plus pregaming both, and the half of the second game) with around 15% leftover for basketball games off a single battery.
At one point I had 3 of these. The majority of the Fuji fanbase are people that take phone quality pictures while chasing the features of a body. I’ve backed my digital side down to one body and 2 lenses. The ergo of this body for people with larger hands is phenomenal
I have an X-H1, but I also have an X-H2, so the H1 doesn't get any use, lately. They are both great cameras. I can't understand all of the hype about the X-T models.
I love the X-H1, and I have been beating mine up for three years. As someone who only uses manual lenses, the one thing that infuriates me about this camera is being limited to only two custom manual focal length presets. The built-in presets are for lengths I rarely use, so when I change to a lens that is not stored in one of the two custom presets, I have to waste time changing the preset. It's so annoying that I'm actually considering buying an x-t4, just to have extra slots. To clarify why this matters: the in-body stabilization relies on the focal length data to accurately compensate for motion. Without IBIS turned on, it does not matter at all, aside from having the metadata in your files.
Kenmore Camera is great! I've only had experience going to the store. One time they even let me put this obscure Lecia lens telephoto like 800mm on my M3 just to try 😂
My second card slot on my X-H1 no longer holds the card in. Spooky thing to deal with, especially with its low shot count. Other slot goes, I don't have the dough to fix it. I paid 700 with the battery grip about...2 years ago..maybe 3...
Literally just bought one yesterday! Looking for something for stills exclusively that wouldnt cost an arm and a leg, Would love to know your favorite lenses for street photography and events! I'm looking to replicate my ricoh gr2 but with higher resolution images & always loved fuji's natural filmic look
I really like the ttartisan 27mm for its price and compact size. It's plenty sharp in the center wide open. I have a video about it somewhere I think last year. That's about a 40mm equivalent. Haven't tried anything around the 28mm equivalent on Fuji yet.

@@CattoRayTube i want Insider Information 😂
But one of the joys of the X-system is the sheer choice of bodies out there.
please im already eyeing for this camera, dont make it price go higherr😭
He's not making the prices higher, greedy sellers are.
3,000$+ for what is essentially a single FinePix camera turned into a line of mirrorless cameras that only have APS-C… for that much money you’d might as well get a Nikon Z7 and get an actual full frame sensor.
@@gwenlop9512 where did you get $3k+ pricing from?
I went with an XS10 mostly for the size and weight factor, an everyday carry with ibis, used, for $650. Still eying the XH1 however.
It is Fuji most underrated model for sure, the ergonomics are so much better than the T3, its my work horse camera. Only downside is the battery life.
The X-H1 is a beast of a camera and I’m so glad you just pushed the value up! I’ve had mine with the awesome 50-140 F2.8 for two years and I love it!
The XH-1 was the first Fuji X series camera I actually enjoyed using. The second one was the X-S10.
There must be something wrong with me.
Its called preferring actual ergonomics and not some novelty features with zero comfort

This a gem and you have a new subscriber!
just bought my first Fuji :) and it is X-H1 with 16-80 f4 WR lens :)
So I sold the X-H1 and most of my Fuji lenses, kept the X-T2 + my 35mm f2 + my lens adapters and got myself a Nikon Z6 for about the same price I sold my X-H1 (sold it with the grip for 650€, bought my Z6 for under 700)
But if I'm being honest, if I could have bought the long lenses I needed, or if adapted F-mount was practical to use on X mount, I would have NEVER sold that camera.
Good grief. Ive never seen such a long comment.
I love going to Kenmore camera, they have good deals on used gear. Fuji is really having a moment these days. They are good cameras but people are paying too much for the older models. Before the recent hype I purchased a used Ex-1 for $200.
They do have some really good stuff.
Haha - that's funny, I thought that was just me. I always have a handful of accidentally shots on my SD card when I get home lol
I just got an X-T20 for $300, it has the same sensor as the X-H1 and I'm loving it.
On which site?
It's a lovely camera. I've had two of them; build quality is solid and the ibis really steps things up when you're using manual lenses. If you had to have one camera for life, this would be all you need. It's the whole package. As you said, it was their flagship camera and yup, it sure shows. I love the top lcd also! Nice find, enjoy 👍
Earlier this year I sold my X-M1 and got nearly all of my money back.
BUT....
In the space of a few months the X-M1 has more than doubled in price.
Madness.
Crazy. But I believe it. Same thing happened to me with the xpro1 a few years back
Also sold my x-m1 for 400€ with accessories. Bought it for 170€ a year ago.
I, too, thought the XH-1 was a video oriented camera only.
Now I know MORE.
Thanx!
Helpful video! I love the Fujifilm colors SOOC. Reminds me of how much I liked the colors of the Canon 5DM3. Today I’ve got the X-S20 and the X-T5.
Fantastic. I am very happy with Fuji colors. So easy to work with.
Great camera. I picked one up a few months ago with the holy trinity of primes on Facebook for $800!
A steal, nice!
The lens @ 5:10 is a NikonosII u/w camera lens. It was my first camera in 1968 and I still have it in my collection.
Extremely lovely
Nice of you to respond.

Yes! Picked one up three weeks with the battery grip as well for $1000CAD! Mint. How about the wonderful shutter button!
I couldn’t agree more. I picked mine up super cheap too. Just shot a wedding with it and it did a great job.
Bought mine in 2018. It’s like a fancy XT2, with a better build, grip, EVF and lovely shutter.
Oooo, Nikonos lenses. Do you plan on making a video of the Nikonos at some point?
That’s my question too!
Good to see someone else running the forbidden Auto 110/Fujifilm combination 🎉
Yes, they are awesome

Bad timing and Fuji shot themself in the foot. Plus, the XH1 was buggy upon release.

Always wanted the XH1. Guess I'll have to keep dreaming now 🥲 I sure do love the X-T10 I got last year though.
Thank so much you for helping drive up the price of my xh1! I think I’ll sell it now! 🎉🎉🎉

Moved from a X-T20 to the X-H1 with battery grip pack using fb marketplace couldn’t be more happy.
In February I bought a X-H1 for around $300. Shutter is jammed but it works fine in ES mode.
Absolutely in love with Fuji📸
Agree it's true hidden gem, my favorite Fuji camera
I've seen the X-H1 go for little as $390 on the use market in Switzerland. So I'm contemplating if it even makes sense to sell mine or if I should just keep it.

I love that you keep throwing insane lenses on it throughout the video
You know, I still haven't used a Fuji lens before xD
Five batteries? Were you videoing the game?
Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
A mixture of photo and video, I ended up completely emptying 3 for sure, and was working on the last two around overtime. The XH2 is definitely a bit better on battery life even though I don't have a grip and can usually get one and a half (One full game plus pregaming both, and the half of the second game) with around 15% leftover for basketball games off a single battery.
Can it AF on any non Fuji Af lenses? What major lens brands can it mount? Nikon, Canon FD, EF, EF-m booster? I wanted to try 1 since new.
At one point I had 3 of these. The majority of the Fuji fanbase are people that take phone quality pictures while chasing the features of a body.
I’ve backed my digital side down to one body and 2 lenses.
The ergo of this body for people with larger hands is phenomenal
I've shot some incredible stuff with my X-H1, love it, now it's a "B-cam" and I couldn't be happier...
I have an X-H1, but I also have an X-H2, so the H1 doesn't get any use, lately. They are both great cameras. I can't understand all of the hype about the X-T models.
Cool to see you use the Nikon Nikonos lenses!
No big deal
@@unbroken1010 It unnecessarily adds time to lens changes
@@pondcurtis9725 I find it makes zero difference
If you like some mirrorless but DSLR bodies what about a review of the Sony a3000? Their only mirrorless body with an older DSLR/slt body?
I love the Pentax shirt
2:02 you should try the XH2s, it's something else
So glad I just got this camera before this video popped up, can't wait to resell it for over 1k!
Love my x-h1. I got one with the battery grip for $550 + tax about a year and a half ago. Also can't believe my what my $300 x-e2 is worth nowadays...
