    Have the same lift for my 04 silverado and tried putting it on once and torsion bars were STUCK STUCK so I for sure recommend drenching them with pb blaster for quite a few days before installing

    Stock 265/70-17's are 31.6" tall unloaded. About 30" with weight of truck on them. A 33" tire (285/70-17) most measure 32.7" tall unloaded and about 31.5" with weight. A taller tire will only give less than half the difference in diameter because of sidewall flex. A 285 or 295 will only give 1/2" more ground clearance at most. The extra tire weight and diameter will reduce braking and increase front hub/suspension wear.

    Tighten all the way or a new key with a different angle makes no diff with the front. Same amount of pressure on the front as the rear actually more given the key has more lift.

    Question so my 2002 Silverado has air bags in rear do I really need the blocks for rear to make mine same as yours? Even that is. Also you really explained yourself so good on this video thanks for sharing

    • @raylaux8295
      @raylaux8295 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Air bags will make it ride rough and stiff in back. Factory rear springs are soft and center leafs break easily. Replace rears with 22-1487 or 22-1567 springs will prevent the rear sagging. When you Lift the front you add weight to the rear.

      You could keep factory shocks with shock extenders. I swapped my factory shocks to the 4600, I think HD Bilsteins all the way around when doing this. And added the shock extenders. On my 01 z71 ext cab long bed with 1500 lb helper airbags set at 35psi in the rear my truck sit at 38 1/2 inches rear and front at 34 inches before did the keys and shocks in front truck went to 36 3/4 in front I was already running 33s on factory wheel could prob run 35s now with min rubbing/trimming. With close to factory offset. Bilstein HD 4600s are a little expensive I think it was $175 a pair rear n front but so worth it with my setup, truck rides so good and I’ve hauled 2 tons of rock in bed with truck sitting level at 50 psi in bags. But overall my truck basically has a 3 in lift all the way around with my set up and tows like a dream. Now for more power in the engine bay. LoL

      No. 2wds dont have torsion keys . but on a 2wd all u need is a coil spring spacer cause the 2wds are coil spring in the front. The rear is the exact same between 2wd and 4wd with a block.

      They will not work with 2wd because you 2wd don't have torsion bars you would have to get a 2wd rough country lift which are different

      There’s some years that chevy did torsion bars on 2wd. So if you do have them this kit will work.
