Hi Rina! If you’re planning on working for a computer, then you will need a 3 or 4 year degree in fashion design. But if you’re planning to start your own brand or company, then yes, you can start right out of 10th.

Hi am currently doing my degree from UAE and wanted to move to India for jobs or postgraduate,my family and friends told that I won't be able to survive their since I grew up in UAE or won't be able to find job should I believe them I continue in UAE or will I get opportunities in India as a UAE graduate 😅
I have a good cgpa, but an avg institute. I have been working as a textile designer (seamless pattern, illustrator and photoshop, all things fabric design- not garment) and i cannot find any good textile designer work. Can i become a fashion designer?or sre there any other field in fashion and textiles that i can research and work towards? I love clothing and fabric, so i want to stick to this field only. What would u suggest? Thankyou in advance❤for all ur amazing content

Hey Prisha! So glad you find the channel helpful! To answer your question- it depends on what position you’re gonna take up in the business. You could do a degree in fashion design to learn the ropes. It will be helpful for sure but I don’t think it’s necessary as such. Especially if you will be hiring a team of designers under you to design for your label and not designing yourself. Brand management will be better if you’re gonna take on a managerial role.

Actually, I am in middle of my BMS degree(I took it up because I wasn’t sure of doing fashion des before) But now as I have decided I am looking forward to be a designer, entrepreneur plus managing the social media of the business. And thinking of doing a masters in fashion design from mumbai itself. And after that Brand manag. from abroad. Ik it looks a bit complicated 😅 but that’s how some career paths are decided. Just want your opinion on this decision!
