It is the Art college which have many Art streams like singing dancing, fashion designing theatre and fine arts Fees of one semester is only 5k And it is asia's firt Art University in India It ia goverment college that's why the fees is very low. You should search in Google about it and if you want to become fashion designer so it is really very good University for that

Lemme share my story as well Really got interested into fashion designing from 11th standard when I was doing coaching for IIT JEE , (was never really good at it ) , then after giving JEE mains got a rank of about 1 lakh , definitely was not going to get any of the govt colleges , didn't gave nift , 1 month into engineering and I finally decided to fight against all odds and talked to my father , he is still not convinced yet I will finally get my course changed Tomorrow in the University , let's see how well does it go tom , I will come back and update it then 💁🏻♂️

I graduated this year. And my whole family is discussing wt's nxt for me. I wanna become a fashion designer but I knew very well they won't let me. So I didn't tell them. Few days ago I told them wt I want and yh as expected they rejected. They told me that 'when ppl hear that I'm studying fashion they will look down at me'. My parents think fashion designers is not a proper job that I can get. I don't understand them actually, being a doctor or an engineer is not only the thing that someone can be successful and every job hv it's own value. I study and work is not to show off to others or something. So why should I care abt wt others will think. I promised myself no matter wt I'll fight for it but now I feel like losing hope. I very well know how most parents force their kids to go for fields like medical and engineering but i personally never have had such a problem. I am extremely grateful that my parents have always supported me throughout all my choices, like taking up arts and following my desire and passion in entering this industry. My father recently admitted the fact that he used to think that if i took up science it would be better but soon gave up on this myth and let me decide on what i wanted to pursue. I am 16 years of age and in class 11 right now and I will definitely try to do as good as i possibly can and get into this industry. M practicing for bachelor of fine art's exam , my parents nd siblings always ask , what is scope in this nd what will u do after this , whatever I want to do after this I have plans for that but still I don't speak too much on this topic whenever somebody ask to me " what will u do " . Hii I am from NIFT kolkata, graduated in 2018 Everything u mentioned about the fashion designing profession is correct and I appreciate the way u enlightened people about it . But in my college even the highest grade holders were paid like 25k per month and that’s not worth the admission charges and the energy we invest in that 4 yrs . Salary wise this profession isn’t worth but you are creative and have passion for it please pursue it . Tbh I am Still not satisfied with the salary pay scale for the designers
After spending 20 lakhs or more than that, what we got starting salary is ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 ...i think fashion designers deserve more salary..and for middle class families it's too much to spend that much amount and after that we got this 20,000 even we can't pay our loans..💔 so tell me, how i convince my father??🤷♀️ i think i have to give up😖
Actually i am so happy today coz i am a science pcb student but i wanted to be fashion designer since childhood so i asked my parents about it for NIFT cllg nd they agreed without any hesitation nd i asked them multiple times in past too they agreed but with hesitation nd i said about my goal to many elders in my family about dropping pharmacy nd applying for nift nd they were all surprised nd happy nd it gave me best satisfaction before my bday nd it id kinda gift for me they dunno but it is for me nd also everything happened before my bday so it gives me more happiness that i will start my new life after 9 june nd a more satisfied nd calm one thats it ! @@meenamathi2019 I think some basics are taught in this course, as it is a course for people from engineering background. When doing the course if we aren't aware of some basics, I think the professors, seniors will guide or recommend from where to learn.

NIFT is such a place where you invest both money and time. But you will not get anything except hard work. This is a place where people can go for their hobbies and for Adventure. NIFT looks good only from outside, those who have done it from inside know what happens here. If you have money and time to waste then go for NIFT. You will get to enjoy here, you will get to have fun. And after NIFT, salary of 20 to 25000 in the name of job, many people go into depression after NIFT. Still, if you come here after fighting with your PARENTS ,then you are blessed with such a life.
To each their own. :) For some people NIFT has been an absolute life changer and for some not, we're all allowed to have our own personal experiences and share them. Thank you for sharing your personal experience.

@@SunnySingh-li3wu hey sunny, i'm not a fashion designer..but i definitely know that 10th and 12th marks are not at all needed for doing fashion designing...i truly say that these marks only help in choosing your choice of stream in 11th and college after 12th :)

No , family is very sportive to me , my mother and father tell to me that do anything which u want in Ur future , when I was at 4 the standard I decided to be a fashion designer and my family sport me till and till end ...I love my parents alot ....
My parents are actually pretty hesitant to send me into fashion, and they recently talked to me about their concern regarding my desicion and it gave me second thoughts about becoming a designer but after watching this video, I feel confident about it. I graduated this year. And my whole family is discussing wt's nxt for me. I wanna become a fashion designer but I knew very well they won't let me. So I didn't tell them. Few days ago I told them wt I want and yh as expected they rejected. They told me that 'when ppl hear that I'm studying fashion they will look down at me'. My parents think fashion designers is not a proper job that I can get.
I don't understand them actually, being a doctor or an engineer is not only the thing that someone can be successful and every job hv it's own value.
I study and work is not to show off to others or something. So why should I care abt wt others will think.
I promised myself no matter wt I'll fight for it but now I feel like losing hope. I wish everything will go well.

I very well know how most parents force their kids to go for fields like medical and engineering but i personally never have had such a problem. I am extremely grateful that my parents have always supported me throughout all my choices, like taking up arts and following my desire and passion in entering this industry. My father recently admitted the fact that he used to think that if i took up science it would be better but soon gave up on this myth and let me decide on what i wanted to pursue. I am 16 years of age and in class 11 right now and I will definitely try to do as good as i possibly can and get into this industry. Thank you so much for posting such amazing videos and encouraging students.

M practicing for bachelor of fine art's exam , my parents nd siblings always ask , what is scope in this nd what will u do after this , whatever I want to do after this I have plans for that but still I don't speak too much on this topic whenever somebody ask to me " what will u do " . My parents are supporting me only because I do hard work as much as I can do for this. They just see me nd say let her do whatever she want at least she won't be disappointed from our side in future.

There's a problem among everyone around here even my mom nd bro aslo say this ( actually I hadn't be able to crack my enterence exam from last 2 years this is third year " m slow , m not lazy only my hand is slow , m covering my timing day by day ) they say first do graduation then u do whatever u want but if did graduation , so they won't allow me to do this .
This is my passion , I do never think to earn , I just want to work in expo to show my passion .

I am from NIFT kolkata, graduated in 2018
Everything u mentioned about the fashion designing profession is correct and I appreciate the way u enlightened people about it . But in my college even the highest grade holders were paid like 25k per month and that’s not worth the admission charges and the energy we invest in that 4 yrs . Salary wise this profession isn’t worth but you are creative and have passion for it please pursue it . Tbh I am

After spending 20 lakhs or more than that, what we got starting salary is ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 ...i think fashion designers deserve more salary..and for middle class families it's too much to spend that much amount and after that we got this 20,000 even we can't pay our loans..💔 so tell me, how i convince my father??🤷♀️ i think i have to give up😖

Actually i am so happy today coz i am a science pcb student but i wanted to be fashion designer since childhood so i asked my parents about it for NIFT cllg nd they agreed without any hesitation nd i asked them multiple times in past too they agreed but with hesitation nd i said about my goal to many elders in my family about dropping pharmacy nd applying for nift nd they were all surprised nd happy nd it gave me best satisfaction before my bday nd it id kinda gift for me they dunno but it is for me nd also everything happened before my bday so it gives me more happiness that i will start my new life after 9 june nd a more satisfied nd calm one thats it ! ITS JUST MY EMOTION lol💜being medical student i will do nift after my 12th no prblm guyss I WILL ENJOY MY NIFT STUDIES AFTER 1 YR!💃👍

@@meenamathi2019 I think some basics are taught in this course, as it is a course for people from engineering background. When doing the course if we aren't aware of some basics, I think the professors, seniors will guide or recommend from where to learn.

NIFT is such a place where you invest both money and time. But you will not get anything except hard work. This is a place where people can go for their hobbies and for Adventure. NIFT looks good only from outside, those who have done it from inside know what happens here. If you have money and time to waste then go for NIFT. You will get to enjoy here, you will get to have fun. And after NIFT, salary of 20 to 25000 in the name of job, many people go into depression after NIFT. Still, if you come here after fighting with your PARENTS ,then you are blessed with such a life.
