Here are some ways you could try to find and reduce the opacity: 1. *Using the Transparency Panel:* - Go to the top menu and select Window>Transparency to open the Transparency panel. - Once open, you’ll see a field for Opacity with a percentage value. You can adjust this percentage to make your object more transparent (lower percentage) or more opaque (higher percentage). - Alternatively, select the object you want to change, and then adjust the opacity value in the Transparency panel. 2. *Using the Control Bar:* - Select the object you want to change. - At the top of the screen, in the Control Bar, you should see an opacity option where you can adjust the transparency of the object. 3. *Using Appearance Panel:* - You can also adjust opacity through the Appearance panel. - Select your object, and go to Window > Appearance. You'll see an Opacity option there where you can adjust the transparency. Hope that helps!

Hi Jyoti! I don’t use a tablet much to be honest. I just use my laptop to draw on Ai. Every designer has their own preference though. You probably have to test different devices out and see what suits you best!

Hi Akanksha, I totally understand your situation. The unfortunate reality of this industry is that the top companies that pay well, offer jobs to only candidates from top colleges like Nift. The competition is also extremely high among graduates today and the talent and creativity is immense so if you already have a Bachelors in science, I’m actually not too sure how worth it it will be to do a Bachelors in fashion design. If it is a field that you are really really keen on, then Nift is the only college I recommend to get your Bachelors. If you are confident in your design skills, then you could look at the high fees of top colleges as an investment, one that you can pay back to your parents once you secure a high paying job at the top companies on graduation. But truth be told, I’m not too sure how smart a move it is to switch careers now. Hoping that helps and gives you a bit of direction!

Hello! I prefer my laptop but I guess you’ll have to try both and see which option you prefer. I don’t think one is better than the other but in most corporate companies, laptops are used more by designers. Hope that helps!

Hey Rutika! Is it a Masters or a Bachelor’s degree that you mean? I don’t think there are many Masters degrees that offer in depth knowledge in fashion design in that manner. It’s a 3-4 year Bachelor’s that would cover everything thoroughly. Hoping that helps!

Hi Pallavi! If you work at corporate companies, it’s the Technical Designer that does the pattern making while the cutting and stitching is done by the vendors that work with the company. The Fashion Designers put their ideas together on digital softwares but there’s no pattern making or garment construction involved for us. Hope that answers your question!

And does no one need to make a model garment as the master piece before it is rolled out for production? I just don’t have an idea or an understanding how the industry works.. Also, then the people who pen down the imaginations and the people who create the physical form do not necessarily get a chance to handle both aspects in other segments in the industry? By that I mean standard structured offices or companies.

You’re welcome! Yes, most companies have a tech team. Other companies simply rely on vendors and their in house pattern makers. Also, model samples are made with vendors itself. Not within the company. If you want to have both the design and creation of a garment as a job, then that would be a boutique business model where you start your own boutique and create the final garment for individuals or hire tailors to create them. But it isn’t a feasible structure for corporate giants who serve the mass market like Myntra, Landmark, etc.

Hello! The answer to this question would be really long haha. I’ll probably make a video on it but I don’t think one option is better than the other. A job gives you a steady income and you can start up if you have the investment too.
