If you're looking for a high-quality 2K clear I recommend spraymax it's a two-part clear with hardener it can be sanded buffed and polished right out of a spray can or you can go to your local automotive paint dealer and they could mix you up a high-quality clear in a spray can
If you wouldn't recommend it for people who eventually want to return their wheels to stock, then why wouldn't you just paint them with a regular enamel wheel paint and then clear coat them? Or just get them powder coated?

Sorry I missed it what clear did you use? I heard 2k is really good.
Damn that car is sick with the black wheels. Definitely much better than the chrome. 10000 times better. That hood is nasty too

Alooong time!! I did mine 2 yrs ago and it still look like a powder coat.....yes you can clear rubber . ....✍🏿
