By the way, just to let you know, the scene at the end where Padmé is on Alderaan with Leia is not a deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith. It's taken from a movie Natalie Portman was in called, The Other Boleyn Girl.
Hal’s a chill dude. Good review, my guy. There’s an episode 1 edit called “The Ancient Lore” by Andreas that is very unique. It really goes above and beyond in its restructure as well as rewrites through things like subtitles. It’s not the most invisible of edits but that’s honestly part of its charm. I think his ultimate goal is to make the prequels two films but I’m not too sure. Only the first one is out at the moment
The Anakin and Padme scenes really sold me on their relationship and a few of the scenes that were added back were so important! It was a disservice to the characters and actors to remove those more intimate "bridge" scenes.
I like them, too. All I can think of is that George must’ve thought that they slowed the momentum of the film down. They really did add a lot and made me care more - maybe he thought they just weren’t needed. It’d be fascinating to ask him about stuff like that.
@@order42show it would be interesting. I have read people's opinions that they think these scenes "make AOTC like a stupid romcom" and I think they are missing the point. I showed my friend Cloak of Deception about a year ago, just for a bit of fun during the afternoon. We didn't notice for about 2 minutes that the Bongo sequence had been entirely removed, that shows you how much it ruins the pacing of the original Phantom Menace.

That’s a great question. The thing is, there are things I really like that Hal took out, and things I don’t like that he left in. But then again…Hal9000 did such an amazing job on the presentation, with smooth, almost transparent transitions, complete with 5.1 sound… Ultimately, it’s up to you!
Not to my knowledge. Because of the nature of fan-edits and that all copyrights belong to the owners and not the editors, making it “easy” would bring a bunch of unwanted attention, I would think.
Cutting the most interesting and key elements of the movie like underwater city or midichlorians is atrocious and completely misunderstanding of Star Wars lore.

Ultimately, it’s up to you!
is there any way to watch these edits without having to download them?
Not to my knowledge. Because of the nature of fan-edits and that all copyrights belong to the owners and not the editors, making it “easy” would bring a bunch of unwanted attention, I would think.
I'm dming the creator now. hopefully he still checks these and has a link I can follow.
It’s easier than that. Do a search for “Hal9000 Prequel” and the first link is a Reddit thread where all of his edits can be found.
@@order42show mods have since removed it.
@stuart00knight The links are still there in the post!
there is nothing wrong with midichlorians it doesn´t contratict the explanation about the force in the og trilogy
Did…I say otherwise? I’d never really had a problem with it. It serves as a way to “measure” force ability, and it’s all fine with me.
Do you get this edit from Hal’s Google drive?
That’s where I got them!
Cutting the most interesting and key elements of the movie like underwater city or midichlorians is atrocious and completely misunderstanding of Star Wars lore.
Well, it is called a “fan-edit” for a reason. It’s one person’s idealized view of what the movie could have been. It’s all subjective!
#AnakinsStillCreepy
For sure.
Correction: no - the prequels were bad. Very bad. That’s pretty universally accepted.
Well, everything is subjective. Are they the best? No…but there are a lot of people that enjoy them, so i think we should let those people enjoy them!
They're miles better than OG trilogy
You cant fix the prequels. They're garbage
It’s not all garbage. My opinion, of course!
