I loved this show more when I was a kid. I never realized what an obnoxious pervert Gene Rayburn is. As an adult, I am frequently annoyed with how rudely he treats his female guests, contestants and panellists. Richard Dawson isn't a whole lot better. :(
I'm sure she wouldn't wear a confederate flag today. Today we all have an understanding of what that flag truly stood for and the message it sends to black Americans. This was 1975 - 5 years before Dukes Of Hazard was a huge hit glorifying the Confederate flag. Enjoying the Dukes of Hazzards would be no difference from Fannie wearing a T-shirt.
Not really. It was very much a style for older women from about the 1930s to the 1970s to slightly tint their gray hair. A bluish tint was very popular. It was so popular that older women during that time were often referred to as "blue hairs".
@@dmnemaine I didn't think it was, I was actually being sincere because I do enjoy learning new things. It's just about the only good thing about getting older, ✌
I do get where youre coming from but it doesnt mean that to MOST of us, Just like 99.9 percent of Muslims are NOT terrorist, it only takes a few people to make something represent a bad thing
I just absolutely LOVE ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this show!!!!!!!!!!

Me too!!!
Gene: Charles are you lit?
Charles: I've been lit for about an hour! 😂😂
I ended up rewinding it 3 times to hear him say it. Priceless 😂

Shortly after this, Kate would become one of Charlie's Angels.
Really??????????????????
Haha!
Yes 1976
Richard obviously didn't know this--his ribbing of her for her "wrong" answers felt kinda mean-spirited.
I like how Richard wrote "drowned and dead" to cover in case either answer. He was a good dude
A schmutz with a one string banjo.
Hehe
In 2020 on GSN they will have to blur out Fannies shirt
Nita was indeed (no pun intended) a neat lady.
I like Kate Jackson she was good and scarecrow and Mrs King
Very naturally pretty.
If my last name were "Peace," I'd be sure to name my son Warren.
Good one
I thought the Ty-D-Bol answers would be 'drunk', but what I would have liked to have written was 'Floating face down.'
At 7:40, they caught one of the other cameras in the shot...
And that helps me how ?
Cry babies and sheep would be protesting Fannie’s shirt
For the answer of salt and pepper, you cannot have one without the other one. And they gave it to her anyway.
I liked her in Charlies angels
Nita was nice!
Avery Schreiber was an excellent player
❤
peg leg, butter, fire blanket, world, graduation, drowning, sink, doctor
Panelists:
1. Avery Schreiber
2. Brett Somers
3. Charles Nelson Reilly
4. Kate Jackson
5. Richard Dawson
6. Fannie Flagg
Heh, no way Fannie would get away with that top today...
Dial-A-Petting-Zoo
But I just wanna tell you, we ain’t got no more tiebreakers.
Anita reminds me of Roy Orbison for some reason
@Diane Newman Don't be a hater
@Diane Newman That's some crude language coming from a
" lady". What would Papa Paul say?
@@joeambrose3260 He would tell you to commit suicide, Id be happy to assist
That's different.
The geico caveman!
What about High school sweetheart!
My first response was, " High school prom." 75 was the year I graduated.
No, the blender is not the same as a mixer.
Lots of men probably wouldn't have known the difference then and maybe not now either.
Your right… you make mixed drinks in a blender and blend cake batter in a mixer… who doesn’t know that? Lol
Great shirt, Fannie!!!!
The missing link
I said small fry
Fannie was from the south.
It was ok back then. Not as much p.c. crapola as there is today.
geez, really?
I don't care about political correctness. All that matters to me is that she's wearing the flag of treason.

Love Fannie’s shirt.
Brett is sober. YES she looks much better than than episodes when she was drunk.
Wow Anita was cutting edge for 1975 with that hair tinting

@@dmnemaine well I'll be, thanks for the history lesson, I guess like anybody else I can comment without knowing what I'm talking about

@@donaldleroy6502 Thanks. Sometimes it's hard to tell sincerity from sarcasm. :)
Kate Jackson was obviously put off by Gene. I could see her telling him internally to get out of her personal space.
I think he could feel it too. He never did kiss her that I saw.
Gene stayed away from the shy women mostly.
She’s too good for him
I don't like the rebel flag on Fannie or anyone else for that matter shoulve had the 🇺🇸 flag
Back then, it was seen as disrespectful to make clothing from/with US flags. It's not useful to judge one era by another era's standards.
I do get where youre coming from but it doesnt mean that to MOST of us, Just like 99.9 percent of Muslims are NOT terrorist, it only takes a few people to make something represent a bad thing

Grow up, Frank.
Different time, different era.
