How to Wash your Sportster

- Today we're washing my 2017 Iron 883 Sportster. I prefer to use two buckets when washing, one for soap and one for rinsing out the dirt I pick up as I wash.
The products I use are mostly Meguiars as they seem to have the best bang for the buck.
Let me know what products you use! - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Thanks for the video. Just bought me and the wife a '19 Harley 48. We love it.
Been looking for that video from so long
Getting caught up on my vids! Good stuff Brother!
heeey and I'm getting caught up on comments lol, thanks for stopping by man.
Hey Ricky, just watched the Dirty Deez Livecast, awesome to hear your input on there. Gotta say I love your Sportster! :-)
Thanks man!
That’s my favorite color for the Iron 883
Really hoping to find a used one in this color as a 2nd bike
I just got a Sportser as well but I've been afraid to hose it down because of all the buttons (power, gas, honk, etc.) I thought it would mess them up so I just "clean" it with a humid rag, I see you only covered the electrical cords beneath the seat and the air filter, no battery, nothing covered on the engine side, thanks for this video.
Interesting to see. I also start top to bottom and use two buckets with soapy water and water as you do but I’ll be getting a dish brush to get between the fins now I’ve seen your note for sure!
I used to use Maguiars on my car and really like their stuff. I don’t go to the extent of removing the air filter or seat but maybe I’ll start removing the seat for a more thorough clean every now and then, it makes sense. Thanks for sharing dude! Lovely bike you have. 👌
dad_and_mad Thanks! I used to leave the seat on but it tends to soak up water and doesn’t drain well, that and I like to clean underneath to keep scratches to a minimum
MotoRickyRicardo I know what you mean, it was especially bad on an seat I used to have with diamond stitching. I like your methods dude and will certainly be adopting a couple of them into my cleaning process!
I remove the seat for 2 reasons.
1. To get a better job done.
2. Having a wet seat after cleaning the bike sucks hahaha
@@jonnymac8925 Very true!
I try not to wash ultra classy more than 2x a year couple coats or paste. then just stay up on it with quick detailer and speed wax. thanks for showing all the effort and why I avoid it lol
lol, I like to keep mine clean when I can, of course its not alotta bike to wash, having to wash a touring model would be quite the task.
Wow you certainly go to a lot of effort to wash your bike buddy 😃👍
motogspot I like to draw it out a bit yeah lol
That’s one nice looking sporty, brother. Too many guys think your bike is a d measuring contest. As long as my knees are in the breeze, I’m good to go. My Nightster is on my page, check her out.
Aaah yes the zip tie finale
Where did you get your bags?
Nice! I like to immediately go for a spin to air dry mine. Have you thought about trading any time soon Rick or are you still happy with your sporty?
Thats a good way to do it, I sometimes do that if I'm short on time...when I have alot of time I like to use a leaf blower lol.
@@MotoRickyRicardo Harley will sell you a $300 HOG blaster. 🤣
Cool want to do mine
The Blue Bike & Doyle lol your bike would take me awhile
