Just bought a 2020 iron 883 Harley as my first bike and had no clue how to wash it with the matte paint, thank you!
1:40 I used to cover up electronics and stuff to, but then I had to ride through a couple of storms soaking me and my bike and nothing broke. So Now I just do aircleaner cover. the electronics can perfectly handle some water :) btw Great video!
Thanks a lot man, I just picked up a 2019 883 and that Matt black is scaring me everything shows got 300 miles on it and you can see fingerprints, water spots from the road, I said I’ll search it before I wash it and you’re the only one that helped me

Wife didn’t find it that comfortable. It’s a Sportster though. Comfort isn’t easy for any passenger on those bikes.
Hey! Good video. Just one question. I have always had a chain driver and I would lube the chain after a wash. Do we need to anything like that for a belt driven motorcycle?
ian pereira No, you shouldn’t have to. Just inspect the belt regularly to make sure it doesn’t need replaced.
What about if you had the stock air filter, would you still need to cover the air filter area.
Stock covers usually have you covered in alot of cases.
@@DCyclemoto awesome thanks the only reason I ask is my cousin just got a sportster 48 and I was gona help him wash it. I have a pressure washer with foam canon and it does great on my bikes but I was reading/ looking at TH-cam video because of the air filters and I’m glad I looked into it because I would have had no clue to cover up the gauges. Your not the first person I’ve read that say to cover up the cluster on these bikes 👍🏽
@@ridin_low193 just have caution and look at the air filter to make sure nothing is exposed before the wash.👍🏻
