Her one friend was drunk out of her mind. The other two tried to convince her to come with them, but she wanted to stay to protect the other drunk one who eventually abandoned her. They were both drunk and making bad decisions like drunk people do. What ended up happening is terrible, but the blame can't be placed on the friends.

The fact that she didn’t get in the car with her friends just because Nia took off walking and Jazzy didn’t want to leave her alone and wanted make sure she was safe so she took off walking with Nia is sad . Nia obviously knew that jazzy didn’t get in the car just to walk with her and for her to just leave her and not even think twice about jazzy’s safety goes to show that Nia was NOT her friend.

I tell my children that who you think are your friends are associates. There are too many cases of “friends” being involved or moving in a way that someone who cares wouldn’t move. We live in a cold world. To think your child might not see the difference, thinking it’s one thing but it’s the complete opposite…
